4.0/5.0 and Open Nats this weekend

So the first weekend of Nationals occurs today. It will be interesting to see how Lubbock does as the 4.0 rep of Texas. The Dallas ladies of Oak Creek are also playing this weekend. Hopefully they both do well.

I don't know much about 5.0 and Open, anyone?

No men's results posted so far, but it is a nice 97 degrees in Tucson today, with a threat of rain tomorrow.

  1. Lubbock won the first match against Mid Atlantic today 3-2. Then the tournament rained out. I hope they can continue tomorrow.

  2. Lubbock is 2-0 and would have to lose 1-4 to drop into a 2nd place tie with Eastern.

Mcree has two solid wins so far. 3 3rd set TBs against Mid Atlantic to win it, they are generally a strong group at 4.0

  3. OC Ladies take a beaten in their first match and it doesn't look good to get out of that flight for them.

  4. 5.0 Houston men are 0-2 and eliminated from winning.

  5. So much for my calculation on Lubbock. they did lose 2-3 and stay ahead of Eastern but Mid Atlantic (who they beat on Day one) won 5-0 and will advance to Sunday.

I have to think lubbock will be kicking themselves if Mid Atlantic goes on to win.

  6. Lubbock should be kicking themselves anyway. Looks like some questionable lineup choices in the match against Eastern. It could have cost them the championship.

  7. Brookhaven (Kim Dewitt’s Team) women’s open team made it to the semifinals and end up in third place.
