3.5 weekend #1

Flight A:
Not anything that interesting but HP does have a close one although they retired at line 3 while leading. Kraemer posted his thoughts on the Village, looks like they are good but lack some singles. CC v. LTF was a good match. I knew this LTF team would be tough and will still make trouble for the top teams.

Flight B:
Westlake's big addition led them to a very strong win over a good Stonebridge team. They put themselves out as favs in this flight now. Greenhill won the match of the week by losing singles and taking all the doubles. HP looked solid as well, congrats John and winning at line 1 singles!

Flight C:
I don't even know what to say about Gleneagles except, WTF!!!???? I guess this gives a team like LBH a chance to get in the mix with Oakridge.

  1. With Harvey at # 1 singles Westlake has a great chance to win the fall league.

  3. Don't mean to disrespect anyone, just my uneducated opinion . . .

    FLIGHT A
Looks like a 3 way battle between Brookhaven, Canyon Creek/Jolly and HP/Jameson. Only 2 can make the playoffs.
Brookhaven had the most impressive with 6-1, 6-0 win at 1 sgl and 6-0, 6-1 win at 2 sgl. Their dbl are solid too.

    FLIGHT B
Westlake had an impressive 4-1 win against Stonebridge. With Don Harvey and Eddie Johnson Westlake now has strong sgl to go with their strong dbl. They are the favorites. Greenhill had a nice 3-2 win against a tough Oak Creek team. They should make the playoffs. HP/Entrekin is OK but below Westlake and Greenhill. (Sorry no playoffs for HP.)

    FLIGHT C
Oakridge by far the best. This looks like the weakest flight. Sam Grand did not play week 1. Maybe they can challenge? Canyon Creek/Lenehan had a big win over Gleneagles. Are they for real???

  4. Level 3.5 had a lot of strong singles players bumped to 4.0. Who are the best singles players in the fall???

To me Don Harvey is the best. Who else looks good???

DUDE! Some matches weren't even finished, let along posted.. and you are already wanting results? Do you bug the newspaper boy at 530 am too?

Also, HOW IN THE HELL DID RATCLIFF LET ANY TOURNEY BOY, ESPECIALLY PEDRO MONTALVO, go to anybody else but HIS TEAM!!! WTF???

What a great last minute pick up by Oakcreek. Oakcreek should win both lines singles every week. HOW CAN THEY NOT WIN 1 line of doubles with this team?

  6. How does Gleneagles suck so bad right out of the gate? They were my runner up winner for fall city prediction.

  7. Maybe Gleneagles does not suck. Maybe Canyon Creek is just good!???

  8. Maybe Gleneagles is missing the automatic W from Slemon.

  9. How long will Harvey last at 3.5?

  10. I think Harvey is safe but regardless, do they DQ in the fall? I can't ever recall a fall DQ.

  11. Why can't HP find any singles players. Out of the busiest facility in Plano, you would think they could find at least one top notch singles player.

  12. No DQs in the fall.

Harvey should win every match and Westlake will take the fall championship!

  13. Good question about HP. They get most of Plano, McKinney, Allen, Frisco and surrounding areas and they cannot find one singles player. Somebody on their roster must be able to play singles.

  14. Guess Harvey is the same guy that was with Garland Sisk last season. Interesting game, but I took him to a 3rd set tie-break after a 7-6, 6-7 split in the Spring, and I was just a 3.0 then. Wish we'd been flighted together again. Rematch Don?
