Nadal lost to Rosol in the 2nd round of
Wimbeldon in 2012. He lost to Soderling
in the 4th round of the French in ’09. Other greats have stumbled.
GTC LOSES TO ELDORADO
This coupled with the loss of HP/Le to Fair Oaks, QT
becomes a lot more interesting, and 4.0 City Playoffs are wide open.
Based on this news, I wouldn’t be surprised if the
spouses at Canyon Creek are already planning a post-season party for their
play-off bound boys.
Let the bashing begin……
This is obviously the tale of the 2 captains that failed. Both Sisk and Le have the rosters to win. They just underestimated their regular seaon competition and made piss-poor line calls.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. This is too funny!!
Wow wow, wtf!!!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for a Star Wars theme. Perhaps a picture of Jaba the Hutt being choked.
ReplyDeleteIt's far from over. If Le and Sisk can get their lineups worked out for the playoffs they still have the goods. Time to make the tough captaining decisions.
ReplyDeleteYes it is over for one of them moron. Only one will emerge from the QT to City Playoffs. And if they make line-up calls like they have, good chance that neither of them advance.
ReplyDeleteAll depends on whether Fair Oaks beats Oak Creek. Or is that math too complicated for you?
DeleteFair Oaks should be Oak Creek. Not too complicated.
DeleteYes too complicated. Please help.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you read the post? CC city champs victory party next weekend. You're not invited.
ReplyDeleteDo the Canyon Creekers all wear their short shorts to the party?
ReplyDeleteOnly short shorts I've seen in many years over at Canyon Creek are the ones their players hot wives wear or the one's your girlfriend wears when she's over at the Creek trolling for a man with a future.
DeleteSomeone thinks highly of themselves.
DeleteSomeone seems infatuated with guys in short shorts since this theme is a common dig you like to take...... I guess since you've been beaten up by Hans (from the other CC team) up and down enough times to taste the power of the short-shorts slice and dice, you're probably enjoying the new trend in professional tennis, and are relishing the leggy views the likes of Nadal and Berdych are showing you these days. Maybe we'll wear our wives skirts and come watch you play the QT matches just cause we like you so much.
DeletePlease, CC is ClubCorp. Half the US has privileges there
DeleteInstead of bashing Sisk & Le, let's give credit to Fair Oaks & Eldorado / JUST SAYING
ReplyDeleteYes - Fair Oaks and Eldorado deserve credit. However, Sisk & Le did not go with their top 8 or even top 10 players. That made the difference.
DeleteWell, who are Sisk and Le's top 8? That may be their best.
DeleteAnd if they didn't go with their top 8 I doubt it was by choice. You can criticize where they put their 8 but I'm sure both captains played the best 8 they had available.
DeleteGarland and Eldorado rescheduled their match from the regular date. They could have arranged any line-up they wanted. No excuses here. Bad captaining. However, it does show vulnerabilities and that they are not as strong or deep as everyone believed. Congrats to Eldorado --they should be solid competition in Cities.
DeleteWould you put money on it?? If you don't see Flora in singles, sisk is cruising. Seth Bake, randy baker, ryan pace??
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time sisk lost a regular season match at 4.0? He may be slipping!
DeleteLooks like flora was in the lineup though. Not his fault he wasn't in singles. It was the only match that mattered and it didn't work. How can you cruise in that match?
DeleteSo who are the two favorites to make sectionals now at 4.0?
DeleteEldorado and Bazan?
When Fair Oaks falls to Oak Creek Tony will be back in the drivers seat. If he can find someone to help him with his lineups between now and cities he really looks good. maybe bazan, maybe dawson
DeleteSo if Tony's team is that good then he'll be in the mix at city anyway after winning the QT. If he is having to hope FO loses to OC so he doesn't have to face Sisk in QT, then he probably isn't as good as you think. Why are you so sure FO will lose to OC anyway?
DeleteOnce again, CC is getting no respect. You guys will have to learn the hard way.
DeleteCC is awesome. My pick to win nationals.
DeleteBoom. Respect.
CC respects themselves so much they don't need others to respect them.
DeleteI like Bazan and the Le/Sisk QT winner to advance to sectionals.
ReplyDeleteThere are always idiots on this blog that make statements about teams that they have no clue about. The Le and Sisk teams are not as good as year's past mainly because they lack lock down singles. They are however the still the two best teams in the city when they have their top 8-10 available, but part of league is winning matches when you do not have everyone to play.
ReplyDeleteFair Oaks and Eldorado have good teams and if you do not have your best players or if your best players do not play up to par they are good enough to beat the Le and Sisk teams.
These teams like CC and Bazan come on the blog and talk about how good their teams are and they get no respect. Well your rosters are the same rosters you have had year after year. The core players from each team are guys that have played 4.0 for a few years at a minimum. The players from Sisk and Le have beaten the players from your teams each year. Why is this year different? Neither have added ringers.
It will be interesting if it is Sisk and Le in the QT, and one of those teams will obviously win the QT and go on to sectionals as either the city champ or wild card. You can count on that.
Count youself as one of the idiots then since you are really only familiar with the Sisk and Le rosters....what do you really know about the other teams that are leading their flights. Have you ever played Morriswala, Ericsson, or Hubbard yourself. Seems to me these teams have added some talent, whether its 4.5 bump downs or 3.5 bump ups that don't really qualify as the same old teams you think you know so well.
DeleteThe very fact that they are bump ups or bump downs says that they are known quantities. I watch out for the guys you've never heard of. If ou don't have them on your roster you'll only go so far.
DeleteMorriswala?? Wow that is funny. You have no idea.
DeleteBazan does have some self rates.
ReplyDeleteAiken is a self rate
Hubbard is basically a self rate who either is not very good or tanked in the Fall at 4.5.
We will see come playoff time how good the Bazan team is.
By the look of it I agree it is Sisk/Le and Bazan to sectionals.
Should be the most interesting QT ever.
ReplyDeleteYou guys can call Le, Pickett, Bender and Sisk cheaters etc, but you should see what goes in Houston. Freeman gets so many players to tank to get back to 4.0 each year after just playing 3 meaningless matches in the Fall.
ReplyDeleteLook up this name, Christopher Rossi.
This guy dominated at 4.5 in 2007. Comes back this year, plays 3 matches which he tanks and then gets a computer rating after just 3 matches. He is now winning open matches, and killing people at 4.0 and 4.5. He has guys tank year after year and somehow it is easy for the usta do grant bump downs.
So you are saying Dallas is SOL again? That is okay, we already knew it. If you didn't, you were never a factor.
DeleteLooks like Freeman and his boys are still pissed about losing trilevel back to back years to Dallas.
ReplyDeleteKeep cheating Freeman. Not sure how enjoyable or satisfying it is to have players cheat.
From the Houston blog
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Fall 2012 Team - 'Expendables'
Biggest cheaters in Houston tennis got together to manipulate rankings. Other teams started telling their players to go out and 'lose back'. It was so bad the last couple games of the season the opponents wouldn't even show up for the matches. Here's some of the cheaters that were tanking matches (results and opponents rankings very far outside of expected bounds based on other results) and the dates:
Robert Rizarri - Doubles matches 9/6, 9/13, Singles matches 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8 - Opponent was able to purposely lose worse
Eddie Janek - 9/6, 9/27
Christopher Rossi - 9/12, 9/20, 9/27
Daniel Goodwin - 9/6, 9/20
Ronnie Kwan - 9/6, 9/12, 9/13
Robert Dornbos - 9/6, 9/12
Richard Perreras - 9/20
Ryan Reeves - 9/12
Tuyen Nguyen - 9/13
Nicholas Van Bemmelen - 9/12
Personally I think Houston tennis can do without any of these players and their manipulations. I would encourage captains to avoid adding any of these players with such low moral standards to their teams. In the HTA leagues (spring/fall) I would also encourage captains not to field lines against any of these players.
well said and thanks for the information.
ReplyDeleteA guy like Rossi, who when last played was a 4.5 and did not lose at 4.5 singles including playoffs. Comes back and only has to lose 3 matches in a meaningless fall season to get a 4.0C rating. Once he got his rating he is now winning at open and 4.5 yet has a 4.0 rating to play for Freeman.
Freeman is an embarrasment! He is the one captain that not only has these guys play for him but he encourages the tanking.
I am glad we can feel better about ourselves knowing we don't cheat as bad as Freeman. Personally, I think he doesn't cheat less, he just cheats better.
DeleteCorey & Mike - so there are no excuses afterwards, do you both have all the players available you want for this weekends match and going toe-to-toe fully loaded?
ReplyDeleteBlah blah I suck and everyone else cheats!! Mommy can I get a participation ribbon?
DeleteEveryone complaining is just a scrub who will probably never even make it to QT. Go play TCD if you can't handle the competition.
To rip on TCD. The women there are better than the whiners around here.
DeleteWhen and where is the Fair Oaks/Oak Creek match of the week? I'd like to watch some quality tennis.
ReplyDeleteThen you might not want to watch 4.0 tennis...
DeleteOak Creek 1 p.m.
DeleteDo these spammers really think that anyone would look at their BS websites. How do we get rid of these POS?
ReplyDeleteAgreed
DeleteAre you sure they are spammers? I think it might just be Mike Kelly trying to take over the blog and divert the attention.
ReplyDeleteAny speculation on the French Open? Looks like Joker and Nadal are in same bracket and could face each other in the semis. After round 3, Nadal could face Rosol again if he advances. That would be funny. Does Rosol give him a run or does Nadal punish him for the humiliation he caused him at Wimbeldon? Bottom half of the bracket isn't as interesting. Fed should cruize through only having to face Tsonga in quarters and most likely Ferrer in Semis.
ReplyDeleteIt's also b.s. that 3 Americans are in the same bracket facing each other in Round 2. Harrison and Isner face each other and would play Sock if he were to beat Haas. However Haas has been playing some awesome tennis lately, especially for an old fart at 35.
DeleteAt least Sock isn't having to face Mike Kelly.
DeleteMike Kelly is responsible for pretty much everything bad. Global warming. Mike Kelly. 9/11, he was alive when it happened. Coincidence? I think not.
Deletemore spam
DeleteNo kidding. What a loser. Give it a rest with the Mike Kelly BS. Get over it already.
ReplyDeleteHey, check out the link on the latest post on the Houston blog. It is a link that gives you your exact rating number. Its free and you just click the link... I am interested to hear the feedback from some of you, by the way check out what Mike K. rating is...
ReplyDeleteSo LBH is playing for a playoff spot and they default a line and dont have their best singles player? How do you default a line when the match is to make the QT.
ReplyDeletehow does flora lose 1-1 at line 3 doubles? does he think its the fall?
Deletehey nancy how did your 4.0 team do today?
Sisk ain't making it out of QT anyhow. Might as well burn it down now.
DeleteSisk knew he was not catching El Dorado and already has a QT spot for winning the Fall. Perfect time to tank a few lines. Only difference is that LB Houston would have made QT with a win.
DeleteHP/Le will abuse Sisk's boys. They will feel safer and less violated back in prison.
Delete1&1 by Flora. What a cheating POS.
ReplyDeleteCC still rollin'. Have fun at QT suckas!
ReplyDeleteCC - Respect! HP and GTC are livin' in the past.
DeleteOkay, we all believe now that CC has entered the room. Let me write the next CC drivel.
DeleteYou will see soon enough. The CC Short Shorts will reign at cities, sectionals and all the way to Tucson. Bring on Freeman and the Caribbean... Get ready for the short short brigade.
Seriously, is this CC's first trip to cities?
If CC's flight is "pathetic", what should we call Bazan's? There are 10 other teams that could win that flight.
DeleteEasy flight yeah... But Greenhill/Ohl is probably better than both Fair Oaks and El Dorado.
DeleteSo I guess that means they will win the QT, right?
Deleteyeah it means they roll Sisk and Le easily.
DeleteFlora 1&1. Really??? Why don't you come and explain yourself??? Did you break an ankle?
ReplyDeleteOne of those guys was 4-0 but the other was a 3.5. Tony Le must be scared now.
DeleteHey, you guys worry about your game and I will worry about mine!
ReplyDeleteAfter today, you have more worrying than we do.
DeleteSo does anyone know who won the oak creek/fair oaks match?
ReplyDeleteFair Oaks 3-2
ReplyDeleteLooks like a tight match, sweeping dubs and going into a breaker. Why didn't Terrell or Schultz play ?? Could have been a risky proposition.
ReplyDeleteseveral of us were all at an out of town wedding. at the beginning of the season we actually asked OC if we could play a match early because of the wedding, but they said no. we escaped with a great come back in doubles though. so i guess it worked out in the end.
DeleteMy line 1 dubs came back from 0-6 down in the breaker too. Very hard-fought match!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are on a great roll. Congrats, and good luck in the play-offs.
DeleteThanks!!!
Deletelooks like oak creek/Head has a disputed win over Greenhill/Davalos. what's that about?
ReplyDeleteYou know the loser mentality. He hooked me, he didn't keep score right, my mommie didn't love me enough, etc. You've seen his kind before. Get over it numbskull. You lost!!! I can't believe you would bring it onto the blog Mr. Anon. I'm going to recruite your best players for next year. Hide and watch.
ReplyDeletelol someone is testy. Must be something to the dispute. I don't play for oak creek or greenhill nor am i even in that flight. I was just curious. but good luck "recruiting all my best players" haha.
DeleteWhat is to dispute GH? There was not a line won by OC that was not straight sets. Try and be more competitive before disputing. Plus your team sucks, end the dispute and move on.
DeleteLooks like Tony Le almost blew another match and a chance at the QT. Line 3 dubs win in a tight 3 setter. Trying to get all of his boys is a tougher thing to do than he thought. Tells you there ain't much depth there as everyone once believed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know Tony's boys are scared about his lineups. Sisk only won 3-2 too and Flora is struggling.., eyes rolling...
DeleteLe and Sisk are underwhelming. At least only one can embarrass themselves at cities.
it's all about availability of top 8. we'll see when the playoffs are here.
DeleteOne of them will be the Underwhelming King after QT and the other is still in the running for sectionals. QT will finally matter.
DeleteThe match had no impact on QT Einstein, just as the last match is meaningless. We will be going to the QT and Fair Oaks will win the flight as they deserve to.
DeleteUnlike many of you, we are not playing to just make cities as most of us have been there multiple times. We are playing to win sectionals. If we cannot win QT then we would not be good enough to make a dent at sectionals. As we look at it we get an extra weekend of tennis and hopefully get a chance to play you CC, FO, and Bazan teams who think you are legends by just winning your flight.
Nice win Noel team and very nice comeback by your line 1 this week.
Sure it could have. If you would have lost this match and next week, there would be a chance you would be out. Now with this win, your upcoming week is meaningless. Regardless, it doesn't appear there was any tanking going on or any need to with computer rated players playing. Yet, you had 3 lines go to third set breakers with a mediocre team. A couple of your players were late adds to your roster. That's not impressive depth to fight through 4 matches in QT and then Cities.
DeleteI agree with you, it was not an impressive win by us at all.
DeleteA big congrats to "Hollywood" for keeping his perfect record in tact through the 5.0 season! I was worried you might fall to the pressure of trying to win (rhymes with your last name) and actually win a match but your 0 and 5 record is safe. Hopefully it works out for you to get back to 4.5 where you can turn your streak around.
ReplyDeleteFollywood is a 4.5 anyway.... Not 5,0 material so not sure he tanked
ReplyDeleteWho Won the Brookhaven/Springpark match??? Scores have not been updated
ReplyDeleteNot complete. It rained and SpringPark wouldn't play inside at Brookhaven. Good luck with the make ups.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know when that makeup match will be?
DeleteI heard the match was partially finished at 2-1 and Brookhaven decided to give up the last two matches (even though they we're ahead in one) after they lost to T-Bar 3-2 this past Saturday.
DeleteWrong info. Player got injured in first game of T-Bar match and will be out for a few weeks. Hence also had to forfeit partially finished Springpark match.

Does anyone know how Kelly's mixed 40 and over team did against San Antonio in the finals?... Have some friends on SA team and they can't wait to try and beat him... There are no results posted online yet.
ReplyDeleteThey will have to wait a little longer. Dallas won 2-1 in the sectionals finals, with Kelly and his female partner winning line #1 6-0, 6-0. Rumor has it Kelly served underhanded during all five of the matches he played, in which he hardly worked up a sweat. The legend of MK continues.
DeleteHow did san Antonio default line 1???? Or was it actually 6-0,6-0. I know the players on that SA team and he beats none of those guys that badly.... I will believe tennis link should have scores posted tonite.... Was that the final, hoping NOHO kills him
ReplyDeletePoster 4:42 correct . Jus talked to my san Antonio connection who was there to watch finals and he said that match was simply incredible. Kelley won all 5 lines he played and beat a damn good SA team 6-0,6-0 in about 35 minutes....my buddy said it was an absolute clinic he put on....amazing. Don't like him but he has serious game come crunch time.
ReplyDeleteWho cares!!!!..... So what if you go to nationals for the seventh time, it must get boring
ReplyDeleteJust be glad he plays in Dallas. Freeman would have him playing 4.0 if he was in Houston.
DeleteMixed is for sissies
ReplyDeleteAgreed, how does Freeman get away w that stuff!.....rumor is he asked Kelley to play for him in the spring and get his two matches in since u can have two people on roster outside of 50 miles. Kelley chose the vaunted Hackberry team instead.... Lol
ReplyDeleteCorrection, this will be his 8th trip to nationals. I hope the boys from Cali lay an ars whooping on him!
ReplyDeleteLol..... Even SA blog talkin about today's match and how lopsided it wuz
ReplyDeleteCongrats to SP team..... Way to go Dallas!... Where is Nationals????
ReplyDeleteNats in Maui Hawaii according to USTA website , hopefully he will not do well as the players will be more experienced since it is over 40 and be able to outsmart him
ReplyDeleteWho wants to fly to Hawaii???? Would rather save money and go somewhere closer such as Vegas or California
DeleteHow come no one gives credit to the other people on Kelly's teams. Yes he is a gaurenteed win, most of the time, but the rest of our TEAM was 9-1 with the 1 lose coming after we had already won sectionals. We were at 6-7,2-0 when the Walter's won their match. And for the "mixed is for sissies" comment. Find a guy with your same rating and come out and play me with my mixed partner. You should win, but you can see that it's good tennis. But, imagine if you get beat. My partner is a 3.5 by the way. Will you except th challenge?
ReplyDeleteAlan A
True statement, give credit to that whole team and well done! Aaron is right that mixed is not that easy and you must have played to understand. I would love to see someone accept challenge, ALAN and partner will be waiting...
ReplyDeleteMixed is a hell of a lot harder than you'd think, mostly because they guy has to be smarter and more dominant than with his regular partner. Most guys can't step up and take the match over like they need to. Same reason everyone wants to play up in combo, they're afraid of having to be The Man.
DeleteSA 8.0 team looks like they had to play 5 matches and used their same guys 5 times, Dallas team had extras. Not much fair in the heat, prob the reason Dallas won
ReplyDeleteWow... A Dallas blog and you guys basically rip a team and a particular player for winning rather than saying congrats. Absolutely unbelievable. ... I was on a competing team and heard about blog over weekend and had to check it out. Guess that is what the world is coming to. Anyway , way to go and good luck at nationals
ReplyDeleteBottom line is Alan is best mixed captain and he has the best mixed player on the planet in Kelly... Period
DeleteLol.... The team Kelly and partner beat 6-0,6-0 in the finals had NEVER lost a mixed doubles match together. They were undefeated two seasons in cities and sectionals in san anton.... Guess beating them was a fluke.... Keep hatin!
Delete4.0 play-off question -
ReplyDeleteIf QT includes the five second place teams and the 3 best third place teams, how are the last three determined?
For example if it is third place team's team records then lines won/lost it would be LB Houston, Springpark (thanks to Brookhaven default line), and Huffhines.
However, Fretz had a better record than Huffhines and if all the teams were simply ranked regardless of flight, Fretz would have been the last team in.
If you go on lines won/lost only (not team wins/losses), then the three teams would be Oak Creek/Rich, LB Houston, and JCC.
You have to finish 3rd in your flight. Then ranking is by lines won, sets lost, games lost.
DeleteDoes that mean 5-3 28-12 Oak Creek/Rich would be ahead of 6-2 LB Houston?
DeleteI would have thought that since all flights played an even number of matches, the first consideration would be the team win/loss record.
Usually, ignoring team win/loss record only occurs when there are flights with different number of matches played.
Its the best record finishing third in your flight. OC would not make it at 5-3.
DeleteIt would be Huffines, LBH, and Springpark as all are 6-2.
The poster above said ranking is by lines won.
DeleteOak Creek/Rich finished third in and was 28-12, better than any other third place team.
I agree that 5-3 teams would be below 6-2 teams, but that is not what is stated above.
Also not fair for Fretz. They were 6-2 and would be slightly ahead of Huffhines (games lost)
DeleteIf all teams were ranked 1-40 based on record (team wins/losses, then lines won, sets lost, games lost) they would be number 8, not Huffhines, correct?
They are not all ranked 1-40. You finished 4th in your own flight. Get over it, you don't belong in QT if you cannot even get into the top 3 of your own flight.
DeleteLet me guess, you must be from Huffhines...
DeleteBTW, I don't play for Fretz.
Better question, why did DTA opt to include third place teams instead of finally having a round robin QT with no flights?
ReplyDeleteLast year was just a single round robin wasn't it?
DeleteYes, but there were only four teams.
DeleteWith five flights this season, why not just a five team round robin?
$450 hotel bill, $200 food bill, $100 gas bill for mixed sectionals..... Watching Kelley get ripped on blog... PRICELESS!
ReplyDeleteFor the 9:11 post. We had 4 teams. Kelly played 5 matches. All but 2 people played 4 matches. We played in San Antonio. They could have played their entire team. They had no travel. What other excuses can you use. The bottom line is that we had the best team. And I hate to say this, buts it's because we play Dallas city leagues. Brookhaven would have won sectionals if they would have won Dallas. They were the toughest matches we had all season.
ReplyDeleteAA
Thx, those are kind words. I am on the Brookhaven team and it is so frustrating playin Kelley. It is impossible to predict the next shot, and if you do it is never hit in an area that you are comfortable hitting from. If you serve and volley a lob is coming, if u stay back he pounds the baseline and comes in. Go at his woman and he puts her in alley and plays singles....can't stand him but respect his game...
DeleteAgree w 1:33, SA played in their home city w everybody cheering for them in final. They slept at home w no travel and were familiar w the courts. Why does everybody keep hammering the fact Dallas won?.. Be proud for Alan and Springpark, that is a major accomplishment, seems they do it year after year but still very difficult to achieve.
ReplyDeleteSure seems like Dallas teams should do a lot better at regular Sectionals, then.
DeleteThey should but not having a dominant men's player that guarantees a win hurts Dallas. The last year Kelley played men's and took it seriously they went to nationals .... He has not played a men's match that he took serious since. There are many good players currently, but In need of a clutch player and no one to fill that role.
DeleteBetter ? is does Sisk use his free pass from the fall. He had at least 4 guys bumped to 4.5 & if they can be utilized for the QT & cities then what does he do????? Can he combine both squads - what are the rules - anyone know???
ReplyDeleteNo - he cannot use players from the Fall that got bumped at year end.
DeleteHe can if they move down mid season
ReplyDeleteWrong, YE bump up would not be eligible for the Spring playoffs.
DeleteHow about this, he can only play who is on his roster lol
ReplyDeleteHe'll be disappointed to hear that
DeleteHe already knows that.
ReplyDeleteFreeman's team just clinched Nationals in 4.5
ReplyDeleteA belated congrats to the High Point Le team for beating up on the Lakes 3.5 team, you got a clean sweep against some barely average 3.5 players, I am kind of surprised you are not on the blog touting your tennis prowess, thats what yall normally do.
ReplyDeleteSomeone sounds bitter. Don't complain when you are playing out of level. Your 4.0 players are more like 3.5 too. You guys could have made a serious run at last place in the 3.5 QT.
DeleteI woudn't exactly say a 5 - 0 win over average 3.5's where two lines went to 3rd set breakers and another was 4 and 4 was any kind of a statement.
DeleteGet back to me after qt, you will eat those words!
ReplyDeleteGet back to me after the ...oh wait your season is over. You were saying?
DeleteWhen has a Le team member come on an bragged about a regular season league match? Someone has some hostility that they were not asked to play on the Le team.
DeletePlaying on a Le team is an honor and a privilege ..
DeleteLe and honor should never be used in the same sentence.
DeleteYou guys also said we would fail at trilevel when in fact we were two sets from winning and beating the team that won nationals this year. Do not underestimate a Le captained team.....
DeleteAs a matter of fact had Kelley not played against us in finals we would have won sectionals and advanced to nationals w a great chance to win it all.
DeleteHad you not lied about your scores, you wouldn't have been in the finals. Since that helped you advance, I guess that was good captaining.
DeleteBottom line we were 2 sets from nationals
DeleteLol!!! Surely you are not a real Tony Le player. I know a lot of those guys and they are good guys and they aren't douchebags. We were 'sets away from nationals' has to be just to make Le's boys look bad.
DeleteI'd bet you were just two sets away from winning most of your matches
DeleteTo 4:08 poster
DeleteThat is funny!
That's bec you weren't asked to play
ReplyDeleteLe and honor is a great combo. There, I used those words in same sentence. Comprende...
DeleteNew question now that the season is over. (Concerning the 4.0 league) What was more annoying to you: a) playing 4.5 players or b) playing 3.5 players.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see any 4.5s this year. Houston is going to embarrass us this year.
DeleteHalf the 3.5s think they're 4.0. Half the 4.0s play like they're 3.5. What's the difference.
DeleteC) playing at all
ReplyDeleteat least you'll have 40 and over where there's balance
DeleteHe didn't do anything to Houston. They should have taken care of business and they wouldn't have been watching finals instead of playing.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable on tennis channell!.. They just showed a small 5 minute piece on Sharapova and one of the clips of her working out showed mike Kelly and Jason Moore playing on a court next to her at Indian wells!!!!!! .....unfreakin believable!!!! Can anyone who was there confirm this as true??!!!..... Lol
ReplyDeleteThey were all three there. Players warmup on the outer courts. Who cares?
DeleteI'm not sure who this blog hates more...Le or Kelly. Get your asses to the court and work harder so you don't have to bitch so damn much.
ReplyDeleteBlog hates Kelly more.... Le has won nothing
ReplyDeleteNobody bitching so worry about yourself.....just tired of him winning
ReplyDeleteI would rather lose all the time and be liked than win all the time and be hated by everyone.... Lol
ReplyDeleteYeah but everybody does hate a CHEATER!!!!
ReplyDeleteUnless the cheater is on your team and the always win.
ReplyDeleteOh wow old hater, Did you notice H.P. Jameson won a match? You said they were the worse team ever. To bad Lakewood was busy Duchin at match time and got the hose stuck where the sun doesn't shine. Maybe they will pull it out next year? LOL
ReplyDeleteStill the worst tanking team this year. They should be ashamed they didn't tell four guys on the team what was going on.
DeleteTanking, maybe... but those players are still really bad.
DeleteThey've been to Nationals more times than you and they'll be back again before you. They're tanking now so they can go back at seniors.

Here is my contestants for 4.0 spring tankers of the season. Mark Myers and Bo Mcnulan (or whatever his name is) from High Pt. Jameson and Rene Alzuro from Greenhill. I know none of these 3 are all that good but come on guys at least try and look competitive, your scores this spring are above embarrasing!
ReplyDeleteWorthy candidates but Jameson is 1-15 since year end ratings came out and he's better than both those guys. Unfortunately, Alzuro is trying his best.
ReplyDeleteSince no one looks to have two singles ringers there will likely be a lot of splits when the good teams play. Who's got good enough doubles to win two limes? Eldorado's top two doubles have looked pretty good.
ReplyDeleteAlzuro played Kelly in TCD mixed and got beat O and O in about 25 minutes.... He is not tanking
ReplyDeleteWho are 3.5 and 4.5 tanker awards going to?
ReplyDelete4.0 to HP/Jameson and 4.5 to HP/Somabut. Not sure about 3.5
