  1. Trust me, greenhill kicks huffines ass on fri. night. Take that to the bank, and no its not an upset!

  2. Greenhill has Jerry Palacioz, A USPTA teaching pro and USTA development coach, how can they lose? lol

    ReplyDelete
  3. Can a USPTA pro be rated below 4.0? Did he originally self rate at 3.5, if so, then he is just like Wickman. Lifetime and Brookhaven are the only teams with integrity. I amglad Kaiser is my captain and not that sleeze Kayser/Sisk/Ratcliffe.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Kenny, is that you again...

    ReplyDelete
  5. Anon 9:11, how many bumpups did LTF get? Don't tell me ya'll improved from 3.5 to 4.0 during the spring season. Besides, all the integrity in the world won't give LTF a good name when you have guys like Gerber on your team.

    ReplyDelete
  6. 7 to answer your question. Klamecki and Chan were previous 4.0bumpup/appeal downs. Dennis and Bennett got bumped down to 3.5 and just got bumped back up. Arcaria, Gerber, and Hamaty all are new 4.0 bumpups. Nothing different than the other teams, other than the team has no cheaters, all legit.

    ReplyDelete
  7. LTF has no out of level self rates. All 7 players were computer rates, 2 as appeals, which may be pussy like to some of you, but it definitely is not cheating. All 7 players are where the system placed them.

    ReplyDelete
  8. To Anon 8:49 all the previous take it to the bank guarantees were full of shit just like this one Huffhines kicks the asses of the old men doubles teams!!! Let"s see if Palacioz can play singles???

    ReplyDelete
  9. All Winning teams Cheat that"s a fact. They are all the same!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Why do all you guys try to stir it up so damn much. I figure you are psst that you are not playing, or you're simply trying to get inside info. Palacioz is a very nice guy and a solid player. He can play singles too, has great shots and can get to just about everything.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  11. Palacioz is a teaching pro and a HS coach playing way out of level, looks like he appealed back down to 3.5 after last year for some reason. I wonder if he instills those great values to his kids?

    ReplyDelete
  12. It looks like Palacioz lied on his self rate and noone caughtit last year. Get on it Kaiser. We can now call you the NTRP Sheriff.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Palacioz been playing 3.5 forever,

    ReplyDelete
  14. Gerber,

Sounds like Palacioz kicked your butt. What was the score? You're the one who always says to not hide.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Predictions!

This weekend is so tough to predict as I think any 4 have a legitimate chance at winning this. I am basing this on GTC being without Wickman, if the rumors are true. These 4 could flip flop very easily.

    GTC 3-1
    LTF 3-1
    Huffines 2-2
    Greenhill 2-2
    BH 0-4

GTC and LTF go to sectionals, and it will come down to lines won/lost to determine the winner and runner up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Just like I always thought, ANON 2 obviously plays for LTF. Either that or he's Gerber's mother. Still waiting on the Wickman DQ. Get real.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anon2 is back with his insightful predictions.

    Do you want a job?
Or did you get bumped up to 4.0 too?

    ReplyDelete
  18. man, i laugh so much. you guys stir up things faster than a hornet's nest. attack, attack, attack. like anything you say on this blog really matters to the outcome?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well said. Too much thin skin on the blog. Everyone needs to have fun with it, very little of it is meant to be personal but rather to stir it up and get a rise! Funny stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Have you played Palacioz before? His level is right where it should be based upon his playing level. He is not a sandbagger or way out of level. Give me a break.

Quit looking for ways to puss out, and just play tennis. Palacioz has been in 3.5 for what 4 YEARS!!!????

Do you really think someone has sandbagging for 4 years?????

I am even playing against their team this weekend. BUT I am just laughing at all you acting like a bunch of pussies.

Good Luck Jerry. You are a standup guy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Gerber,

Just like we all thought. Palacioz must have creamed you. If you'd won, you'd blow this board up with your bravado. You better appeal down or your ego will never recover from the beatings you'll be taking on a weekly basis. That is if you can even find a 4.0 captain desperate enough to take you on. You might have 4.0 athleticism, but your true tennis skills are barely 3.0. You're a perfect fit at 3.5. You should stay put.

    ReplyDelete
  22. And by the way, we do not know who Anon 2 is and don't think he plays for LTF. But who cares, even if he did, his predictions have been dead nuts on.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Palacioz played LIMITED mixed doubles for about 3 years, WINNING at the 4.0 level. Now he is what, 18-1 in 3.5 league? That is the best record out there, you think he is not sandbagging? Are you a complete idiot? The guy appealed back down to stay 3.5, that is NOT a stand up guy.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ok, you talked me into it, I'm gonna go hit the appeal button right now so I can stay at 3.5 and keep kicking all your asses for another year. Should be fun.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm curious what the score was and I'll post my name.

    Kenny

    ReplyDelete
  26. Isnt it funny that those who "bark" the most, usually "bite" the least? I wish all of you big ego bastards would just quit barking and just let you play do the talking!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. If Gerber can't post the score maybe Palacioz can,

    He's AWOL too now.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Is Palacioz really a teaching pro? Really? If that is true and he is a 3.5 that is amazing. Not sure which would be worse, a teaching pro cant get past 3.5 level or that people would pay to be taught by a 3.5!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think he's a recreational level coach,
Like for kids and shit like that.

Maybe he majored in recreational administration like Wickman.

This kind of reminds me of the scottrusselltennis.com fiasco.

If you rite them a check and show up to their calss, they will certify you.
the USTPA does not give a fuck about what your strokes look like or what your playing record is,

    However, your students might.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Who smoked the peace pipe and voted for Brookhaven?? I know they do not think they even have a chance.

They may pull an upset against one of the 4 teams, but no way can they win it!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Guys...can't we all just get along? LOL! Ok, here's the deal. All of you participants need to go out there and put it all on the line. I've seen enough smack talking on here to motivate each and every one of you to go out there and perform at the highest level. My observations:

Lifetime: You are at the top of the "everyone loves to hate us" list. Will you be able to show them why they love to hate you? Arcaria/Bennett...are you guys the real deal? Klamecki, aren't you now a 4.0? Something has to give! Step up or step aside!

Huff-whines: You are like Arthur Anderson Consulting, changing your name to Accenture - lots of history and bad blood, but will glory follow? And, are you going to stand for people calling your coach Rat Penis and Bitter Beer Face? Go out there and take your respect!

Greenhill: The only one people are talking about, Palacioz, can only play 1 line...the rest of you must grow a pair and show us what you got on the court!

Durdy: Tisk, tisk...or should I say, Sisk, sisk. The man has put together a juggernaut, but we all saw what happened to that character in X-Men! Is this your year to goto Nationals? I suspect Mr. baby formula (Gerber) would say otherwise... Yoda senses much fear in you. Beware... Fear leads to anger; Anger leads to hate; Hate leads to... SUFFERING!

Brookhaven: In by default? No one thinks you have a chance! Glenn, will you lead the charge? Please don't fold up like a chair... Remember, all you need is to win 3 lines of doubles... Mission Possible? Or... Mission Impossible? You control your own destiny!

May the Force be with you all!

    -Yoda

How does Garland go 3-1 and finish in 3rd
and Huffwhines 2-2 and finish in 2nd?

    Derp...Derp..

    ReplyDelete
  34. LOL tie brak, Retard

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anon 467 your math is a bit off! GTC would be 3-1 by your match standings and would be the wild card!

It sure would be nice to go 4-0 against these teams, a very tough task!

Also, Yoda, I think Stephen and I have shown that we are for real, 2 of the 4 teams in QT we beat are 4.0 bump ups. We have beat a number of teams that are worthy opponents at the 3.5 level. All of that is meaningless for this weekend though and we hope we can give our team 4 line wins in 2 days. It will be our toughest task all year but we will up for the challenge!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I want to thank the Anons for the Google, USPTA,and USTA searches. I have been informed I will be getting a check for all of internet traffic.

    Now for the facts.

I am not a teaching pro.
I am a HS school coach, but not for a varsity team.
I am a USPTA Development Coach which is know been renamed as a Recreational Coach.

    What is a Recreational Coach?

The USPTA Recreational Coach category is designed for people who may already be teaching tennis - as high school coaches, at recreational facilities or in other part-time situations - but are not immediate candidates for careers as full-time teaching professionals.

How to become a USPTA Recreational Coach? (Anybody can if they want)

To become a Recreational Coach, applicants must have attended a USTA Recreational Coach Workshop, which covers the basic standards of tennis teaching.

After you attend a one day workshop, you send in your application and dues.

Basically, I went to get some professional development for work and continue to learn from the USTPA teaching pros.

Started playing USTA 8.0 Mixed in 2005 and self rated as a 4.0.

I was winning at that level, but just over a .500 record.

    2005 6-4
    2006 2-1
    2007 4-4 in sanctioned events

That 2007 year is what got me bumped down. I guess a .500 record wasn't good enough to stay, or that our team was just was so bad with a 2-7 record.

I wasn't into all this USTA stuff until I get call saying I was bumped down and do you want to play? Little did I know it would be so political.

I have had a good 3.5 run so far at the mixed and mens level. You can't win as much as I have, unless you have some good partners along the way. I am not a dominant force on the court.

As for appealing at the end of the year, it was to make a run this spring with a team that I felt had a chance at Sectionals. Which is exactly where we are at. It would have been much easier to stay 4.0, than to take the grief from the Anons for appealing 3.5. But I am a team guy and that is what I decided to do. Since I am a team guy, don't be surprised if I play some singles this weekend. Singles is not my game, but if it helps the team out, I am willing to do it.

I will not be appealing for the fall. I have some 4.0 options already. It was very nice to get a 4.0 invite about an hour after the ESR was published.

The plan for this weekend is to play some good tennis and the results will be what they will be. Match some faces with some names that are on the blog. Good luck this weekend to everybody.

    Peace out!

  37. Is Yoda, Ratcliffe?? I see a serious physical resemblence!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wickman DQ? Wickman DQ? Calling Wickman DQ. Are you there? What a joke. I hope John gets a chuckle out of all the childishness. Kaiser, you and your minions are truly pathetic and you've sunk again to a new low. I just hope your boys can set the school yard taunts aside long enough to show up and actually play this weekend. Your about to get your noses bloodied by the bullies of GTC. You're about to learn what goes around, comes around.

    ReplyDelete
  39. If that's the case and what goes around comes around, GTC is in trouble you cheating pieces of shit! 90% of Dalla stennis has no idea what Wickman and Fonseca were doing in there matches. They were not moving when guys served them only to be aced 4 staright times and lose games. they would double fauly away entire games so that the set scores would not look bad. They tanked matches!! The only ones that are probably defending them is GTC themself!

I would be pissed if I was Westlake as the GTC cheating cost them a direct shot at DCC with 1 match separating the two teams!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Palacioz!!!!!!!!

    What as the Gerber score?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am sure John does get a chuckle out of all of this. He knows he gambles when he signs these out of level self rates. Last spring it paid off with a trip to Nationals, this season one of his players was caught. He still has a shot though!

Sisk, any word on the Wickman situation? Is it true?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't think the Wickman DQ is real. Enough time has passed since the supposed DQ was reported that someone would be able to verify it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. You will know by tomorrow night!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Agreed. You'd think the NTRP sheriff, Wilhelm Kaiser himself, would have learned from the Jones/Oleg uproar that the USTA isn't going to do a thing. I guess we can't blame you for trying. You'll need all the help you can get this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Over a third of John's team is current self-rates. There should be a limit to the number of self-rates a team can have each season. If a new self-rated player wants to play in the league they most find a team that has not reached their limit of self-rates.

I think 2 self-rates on a team should be the limit. That's still enough to make a difference in a team's success, but not enough to be able to win matches all by themselves.

Garland has 6 current self-rated players on their roster.

    ReplyDelete
  46. every year it is the self rated ringers that win for their team at sectionals.

    ReplyDelete
  47. In 3.5 that is true. They will never limit the self rates though, because those are brand new clients that are walking in the door, maybe members for life.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The only people who care about so called cheating are those who think they are better then they really are and if only the better cheating players where DQ then they could step up and be the man.

    ReplyDelete
  49. 1:10 must be a wanna be.

    ReplyDelete
  50. All I know is that all you mfers are dead, I don't care if we play line 1, 2, 3, or we'll take on you singles guys. Me and Bennett are gonna kick all your asses this weekend.

    Arcadia

    ReplyDelete
  51. IMHO, the team with the "sure bet" lines have a big advantage. As I see it there are only a couple of those as shown below. Any opinions about who else might be next to unbeatable.

    Arcaria/Bennett - LTF
    Jones - Huffines

Another consideration is how much Garland has been holding back the "dogs of war" (ie: self raters).

    ReplyDelete
  52. Also, I just want you all to know, before Friday, that I am a much better player (singles and doubles) than that Gerber guy.

    Arcadia

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hey Arcadia, your not even spelling your name correctly.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Anon,

If your going to post in my name at least spell it right. Nice try!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Any updates on this Wickman controversy? Where's Sheriff Kaiser when you need him?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anons are like your alter ego. We mispell your name so you wouldn't get confused.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I've only been active on this forum for a few days. But its obvious that the majority of the anonymouse postings must be from adolescent boys who have nothing better to do while they are in daycare (i.e.: school) than to try and rile a few "old men". Lord help us if some of those are from actual USTA team members. Reading their ramblings is somewhat akin to browsing through the National Enquirer while on the can and then placing it at the bottom of the bird cage when the latest edition arrives. Also makes a good substitute should you find the toilet roll dispenser to be empty.

    ReplyDelete
  58. ACE You'll find this blog to be like an horrific traffic accident. You want to look away, but can't. I think most of the anons are probably decent people who can get carried away. Just don't take ANYTHING too serious and never post your real naem.

    ReplyDelete
  59. ACE, I was wondering what why that newspaper was sticking out your ass the other day and you were walking funny. Use charmin, it works so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Anything that brings a smile to your face, like the three previous postings did, is worth investing a little time into each day. Thanks for the welcome.

P.S. If you one of those adolescent boys I was talking about don't call me ACE. I work for a living! Call me Mr. UE. (Its more appropriate anyway).

    ReplyDelete
  61. O.K. Mr. I. M. Ass

    ReplyDelete
  62. 11:17 I do get a laugh out of this. If you contact me I'll give you an update on Terrance. 12:55 poster is RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Wish everyone well this weekend.

Thomas Mason class of 1958 Texas Western University forget about 3.5I know you played one year of College tennis, but you played. Contact Rusty Branch asap.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Whether you played one year or one day, it doesn't matter, YOU PLAYED. So when the computer asks you if you played college, answer with integrity. Why do you always like to twist things to make them convenient for you. The system is the system and if you cheat and get caught, you suffer the consequences. Laugh away, I'm sure Wickman will be laughing about it all weekend too.

    ReplyDelete
  64. 3.5
-improved consistency, variety on moderate shots with directional control; developing spin
-Hits with directional control on moderate shots;returns difficult shots defensively
-STARTING to serve with control and SOME power; developing spin; can return serve consistently with directional control on moderate shots

Does this apply to any of the starting line-ups this weekend?
All out of level according to NTRP Bible

    ReplyDelete
  65. You can cheat a little, not a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, you are right, one day of College tennis at 73 years old, he needs to be 4.5-5.0, not 3.5.

    ReplyDelete
  67. A player 73 years old that played college tennis at and level is not allowed to self-rate below a 4.0. If you are 35 or under and played any college tennis you are not supposed to self-rate below 4.5. At age 36 and above depending on what type college you played at (D1, D2, D3, etc...) you may be able to self-rate as a 4.0

This is not rocket science nor open to interpretation.

Don't follow the self-rate guidelines and you are cheating.

    ReplyDelete
  68. GO BROOKHAVEN......

    ReplyDelete
  69. Brookhaven will surprise them all!Garland way overated!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Greenhill and LTF are the top 2 Garland is solid but not to there level.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Greenhill and LFT had better competition then Garland so just because you go undeafeated doesnt mean you are the best team. Huffines is strong but wont get by LTF this time. So Mr. Brain surgeon 6:46 records dont really tell the true story sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  72. BTW, those last couple posts weren't me.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Does anyone know what happens if there is rain this weekend, enough to cancel a day or more of tennis? Does the whole deal get re-scheduled?

    ReplyDelete
  74. If it rains _ they play anyway but you'll likely have a significant delay. They use indoor courts around town and also wait for rain to go thru and then dry the courts asap. You may end up playing at 3 am but you will get to play.

    ReplyDelete
  75. In case of rain - they remove the worst team (in this case BH), and then see if they can still get it in, if not reschedule.

So BH needs either NO rain or a whole lot of rain.

    ReplyDelete
  76. What ever happened to our "Top Gun" guy. Lots of excitment about this weekends matches. Great idea to play tough matches every week in the fall _ not just playoffs at end of season.

    ReplyDelete
  77. If that's the case and there are long delays, expect all the old foggies on Huffines, GTC, and Stohl to be hammered come time for their first match.

    ReplyDelete
  78. BH was seeded last but that doesnt meanm that they were the worst team. They would remove the wild card not the winner should it rain. Someone needs to get their fscts straight.

    ReplyDelete
  79. It would make more sense to just get rid of the worst players, Gerber your out of here!

    ReplyDelete
  80. They are not removing any teams, get a clue!

    ReplyDelete
  81. If I'm the worst player, what does that say for all the clowns I've already beat?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Any Wickman updates? I still don't believe it, but if any of it is true, the USTA should have announced it earlier than the day of the playoffs. We all know Kaiser and co. is behind this. Personally, I think LTF is a bunch of hypocrites. If their moral standards were so high, why would they enlist an obvious 4.0 singles player late in the season? You are no better than Sisk. At least he doesn't pretend to be something he's not.

    ReplyDelete
  83. The 8:25 poster does have a point. Kaiser pretends to be this virtuous white knight and signing an obvious out of level player in the final weeks is a contradiction to the values he claims. IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I sure hope some of you have no children to raise. What a great role model you must make.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ratdick, can you please tell your players not to bring their trailers to any matches scheduled at Brookhaven this weekend, we have an image to uphold. Oh, one of your players, Reitzer, spit his teeth out and left them here last time he lost a match so please have him stop by and get them, in addition to leaving the $250 required to fix our fence. And lastly, you can not have your guys shooting rabbits behind the tennis courts, there are people actually golfing back there.

    Thanks for the cooperation.

    Jane

    ReplyDelete
  86. hahaha

Didn't she also mention not to crap in the bushes this time, to actually use the restrooms. I heard they destroyed multiple plants pulling the leaves off to use as toilet paper.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hey we play our best tennis hammered. Yeah to delays..... Go rain....

    ReplyDelete
  88. I thought only Weinstein left his teeth on the court.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hello,

Here is the info on the developing Wickman story that I have had confirmed form multiple reliable sources.

    1) A complaint has been filed and accepted by Tosha
    2) That a DQ cannot be made until the player has been contacted and Wickman is out of the country.
    3) Wickman will not be playing this week-end

    end of report

    ReplyDelete
  90. How about we work on Jesus Fonseca now! Did he play college?

    ReplyDelete
  91. who made the offical complaint on Wickman?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Wickman is one thing, but there were no such thing as colleges when Fonseca was that young. Whatever you do when playing him, please don't drill him with a ball or saw dust may get all over the courts.

    ReplyDelete
  93. That's not saw dust, it's cocaine. he uses it to stay awake during matches.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Yea whos the rat who complained on the alleged cheater? Some where so worried about Wickman he wouldnt of played this weekend anyway if he was out of the country!

    ReplyDelete
  95. I just gave Marc's picture a facial on my computer screen!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Whoever had all that dirt about Wickman on the blog is who got him in trouble. That was some solid information. Anyone could have turned him, it was the research that did it.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Personally, I would have used the information at playoffs if I needed it and not until then. That kinda shows how stupid the person filing the complaint actually is. They could get 1 or 2 matches reversed. If he is out of the country, he was not going to play anyway and the grievance filer was not very strategic. If it was Kaiser, as most people think, lets face it, he has never been considered some great thinker.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hey asswipe. In the playoffs, the person that gets DQed is not permitted to play additional matches, but all played matches do not get overturned. Do your homework Einstein, prior to calling people out.

    ReplyDelete
  99. 10:21, if DQ'd for self rate violations during a playoff, then the matches are reversed. They are not reveresed if just a regular dynamic DQ.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Bill Kaiser filed the complaint against Wickman _ he told me so. But that's his job as captain. Any good captain would do the same thing.

    - LifeTimer

    ReplyDelete
  101. Bill Kaiser filed the grievance? Man that was some big mystery that nobody could have unraveled. Shocking... Shocking, I tell you.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Kaiser, you should get into law enforcement. You already have the nickname, sheriff.

    ReplyDelete
  103. with garland losing wickman lifetime becomes the favorite this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  104. keep dreaming 10:42.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Fonseca better bring a spare urine bag to the match cause I'm aiming for his legs the whole match.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Hmm... Yoda returns yes...

    Round 1, tonight is...

Victory over Brookhaven Garland should have...

Victory over Greenhill Huffines may not...

With Arcaria Yoda agrees. If an anon wants to stir up trouble, correct spelling he must have.

Interesting matchup would be Palacioz in singles versus erber-Gay (Pig Latin). Yoda sees a Palacioz victory. Yoda thinks erber-Gay should pray to the Lifetime Gods that he does not have to play him. And Yoda is not being a hater -- just calling it like he sees it.

On the other hand, Yoda sees Kenny being outted in straight sets by erber-Gay. Time will tell.

Yoda will be selling popcorn for the Garland/Huffines/Huffhines (however you spell it) match. The cost of the popcorn will cost less than what tisk tisk supposedly pays players to play for him.

Fellas, there is a lot of tough talk on this blog. One common theme is that Gerber is a hothead/meathead/muscleman/etc... So, those of you who have the opportunity to play him...if he mouths off to you, why don't you simply jump over the net and slap him across his face! I dare you!
    Free popcorn for that one!

What you will find is that Durdy is the favorite, followed closely by Greenhill and Huff... then Lifetime followed not so closely by Brookhaven.

If you think otherwise (Lifetime especially), you will be in for a rude awakening. But.... all you have to do (Lifetime) is to ignore the hype, play your game, and definitely win the tiebreaks. Then, you will be in the hunt.

    Sounds like MOTIVATION to me!

    Great insight Yoda has provided...

To the bank, you should take it...

If you don't, Epic Failure of The Week you will become!

  107. Yoda, pretty funny post, I'll give you that. If you want to see me slapped in the face, why don't you come over and do it on your own? Perhaps Yoda you are not, but mini me may be more like it. I wouldn't mind bitch slapping yoda himself a few times, and you will need more than the force to save you, should you reveal your true identity.

I will not talk trash or make predictions against Jerry cause I think he's a stand up guy. If I do play him in the real deal, talk all you want after the results but not before.

Why don't you reveal your identity, cause right now all you are is a little Yoda, that looks more like a big pile of shit than anything else.

May the Force be with you.

  119. Looks to me like the lower the rating, the more the jawing. I don't see any 5.0s talking any smack on the blog. They don't even have a dedicated thread! Here on the 3.5 threads is a very different story, with the 4.0s not far behind and the 4.5s back in the distance.

Of course my argument comes crumbling down when you take the 3.0s into account ...

    ReplyDelete
  120. The 3.0 blog is posted under the Dallas Zoo website. Only monkeys care about 3.0 tennis.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Maybe Gerber should start a 3.0 blog. That's where he belongs.

    ReplyDelete
  122. In 5.0 it is pointless as everyone would know who is talking shit as there are only 3 teams. That is not fun. 4.5 and 5.0 tennis players are flamers anyway, they think frosted tips are cool.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Well if there wa sa 4.0/4.5/5.0 City Chapionships thread, then there might be more talk about it.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Nobody talked about 5.0 all season. Even once the playoffs began, players not on those three teams making it could still be throwing out their HSOs.

  139. Kaiser was outfoxed by Ratcliffe. Way to go Ed. If Kaiser would have spent more time preparing his team and less trying to tattle on people, he might have won it.

    ReplyDelete
  140. why is brookhaven in playoffs? ironic question... what a joke!

    ReplyDelete
  141. 12:16 yes, ed can read kaiser like a book. with all of ltf's single talent, ed put bert on s1 and took the line. kaiser has to be be the world's worst poker player. what was he thinking by keeping klamecki and gerber off the singles lines? i guess he was trying to preserve them for their afternoon match against the powerhouse brookhaven. what an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Ratcliffe made Kaiser look like a clown. Nice job Ed!!!

Having a dope for a captain tends to hurt you in the post season.

    ReplyDelete
  143. LTF has the most talent of any team in the DCC. But they have an inexperienced captain who doesnt know what he is doing.

Next year LTF should PAY someone like Sisk or Somabut or Bender to run their team. It would be money well spent and they'd be winning matches instead of getting beat.

    ReplyDelete
  144. WOW LTF WAS THE FAVOFITE IN THE BLOG POLL TO WIN THE DCC BUT THEY MANAGED TO SNATCH DEFEAT OUT OF THE JAWS OF VICTORY!

    ReplyDelete
  145. How do you define stupidity?

    1 singles: Keith Scribner
    2 singles: Peter Chan

    ReplyDelete
  146. Brookhaven is a joke should never have made the DCC. Fall winners should be given a slot in the QT not the DCC.

If you have a crappy team you just get pounded by the better teams. Not much fun in that for either team.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Brookhaven lost two tie breaker third sets against Garland. Had they won those they would have won 3-2. Very close matches. Mitterer/ Strohl won in two sets. Who ever doesnt think they belong there is nuts.....

    ReplyDelete
  148. I have to respond to some of these jackass anon comments.

First of all to the anon that said Gerber cannot win a line 3 doubles you are an idiot. They played the best doubles team on Huffines and happened to lose. It was a great match and our guys had a few match points in the tie break, but Molina and Jones kept their cool and won a well played match.

Also, Kaiser had a good feeling that Ratcliffe was going to do that and wanted to switch the lines, and we thought about it alot, and idiots like me thought they would probably never take Chris Jones off singles because he was probably a singles win. All they would have to do is win 1 doubles line, they obviously thought they needed to strengthen a doubles line to secure a win. Kaiser wanted to switch it up, idiots like me were wrong. It is a crap shoot when guessing lines and Ratcliffe did a great job today.

Either way we had our shot, 3 match points, we didn't get it, but we are not done. Congrats to Huffines and the matches tomorrow I am sure will all be nail biters as well.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Bill,

Chan and Scribner on singles? No offense, but have you lost your frickin mind? Why spot the team's most hated rival 2 lines? Your logic would ALMOST make sense against Brookhaven where you might have been able to give Alzuro a run for the money. Did you get the lineups mixed up this morning at registration and accidentally hand the USTA official the Brookhaven line up?. Makes no sense. Also, 2 match breakers against BH? Good thing you won those. You better do better than this tomorrow against the big boys.

    ReplyDelete
  150. BH has taken every team to 3rd set tie breaks! They just have not won any of them. You might want to get your facts straight before thinking at LTF was the only team do so.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Hey Kaiser, did you call Ratcliffe the night before and give him your roster? Man, did he play you perfectly. Sweet.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Great win by Garland 3-2 over Greenhill. Very competitive doubles matches and some clutch points by Greg and Keith to pull out the win. Garland now just needs to win 1 of 2 matches tomorrow to advance to Sectionals.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Ratcliffe for Coach of the Year!!

    ReplyDelete
  154. The BIG CHOKE

3 Match points and Big Ego Gerber takes it up the butt.

    Way to go big mouth!

    ReplyDelete
  155. The captain is responsible for the line-up. Doesnt matter if some idiot like Arcaria gives him bad advice. If the cap thinks the advice is wrong, dont follow it. WHAT A SCREW UP!

    ReplyDelete
  156. Ed,

Nice game plan today. Were you ever in the military? I bet your loss to Bennett and Arcaria was the sweetest defeat ever. Good luck tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I tired to tell Kaiser to put Arcaria & Bennett at #2 dubs and Klamecki & DeMetsenaere at #3 dubs with Gerber & Anderson at #1. (It's call stacking.) It was pretty obvious that Ratcliffe would put his best doubles team at either #2 or #3. But Arcaria & Bennett have such big egos they insisted on playing only #1 dubs.

    - Kenny

    ReplyDelete
  158. Let me sum up what happened today:

The BigBird laid a BIG TURD!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Lifetime had to win all three doubles with what they put out in singles. Was Anderson really the best player they had available to play with Gerber?

    ReplyDelete
  160. Nancy -

Don't be so quick to count your boys in. Should LTF win both of their matches, and your durty boys beat Huffines, there is a 3 way tie with 1 loss each. It will come to sets won and lines lost.

Ratcliff gets the call of the day for playing it right against Kaiser.

The big question: does Brookhaven throw in the towel and play whoever tomorrow or put a line together to go out and pull off an upset against Huffines??

Anything is possible and could come down to the final matches tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  161. After watching a very close competitive line #3 dbls. match between LTF and Huffines, I now know why most everyone calls Gerber an egomaniac. He did play quite well under very tough conditions, but in the end he blew the critical match points that would have won the match for LTF. Anyone could have made the same misses, but because of his attitude, on the blog and on the court, I'm glad it was him. Great double fault also in the tie break.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Gerber's hand were actually shaking at the end. I was close enough to see it. But I'm not sure if he soiled his pants.

    Way to go tough guy!

    ReplyDelete
  163. Nancy Noel has an unhealthy interest in the GTC 3.5 team. I wonder how many of those guys are gay?

    ReplyDelete
  164. anderson is a weak player. if the bigbird had put me out there with alan we would have won #3 doubles. and most guys on our team know it

    - kenny

    ReplyDelete
  165. Sounds like some internal turmoil inside the Lifetime camp. They are just like the Buffalo Bills of the NFL, can't win the big one.

    Choke
    Choke

    ReplyDelete
  166. If the Lifetime 3rd line doubles wins their match then all the anonymice would be calling Kaiser is a genius and Ratcliffe the idiot. It came down to two freaking tiebreaker points! Captains make the lineups and players have to perform. Today the team lead by the cagely veteran got the upperhand on the young guns. That being said Lifetime had little choice in trying to go for the doubles sweep because Huffines has 3 or 4 singles players that would win a large percentage of the time against Lifetime's very best singles players. It was a crap shoot how the doubles match ups would pan out. Lifetime came up just short through no fault of their captain if you look at it as a neutral observer.

Wow! Looks like Garland and Greenhill had quite the battle this afternoon. GH is now toast, as far as sectionals are concerned, with 2 loses and can only console themselves by playing the spoiler role. Brookhaven is done with 3 loses and it will be interesting to see how tough a fight they put up against Huffines. Right now Huffines is setting in the drivers seat with Garland and Lifetime having to duke it out in the morning. Its must win time for Lifetime and they'll be scratching and clawing from the first point. They can certainly win but even if they do there is still the match against Greenhill in the afternoon. Thats a tough row to hoe. But if they beat Garland I wouldn't bet against them in the second match. If Garland loses to Lifetime then the Huffines-Garland match will be a slugfest as Garland will have to win to insure a spot at sectionals.

We could have our two sectional representatives after the morning matches or it might be decided under the heat of the Sunday afternoon sun. We don't know which way the worm may yet turn. Very interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  167. This is how I sign my name asshole:

    Kenny Linton
    LTF

    Get it right.

    ReplyDelete
  168. For all you Gerber haters out there, he played one helluva match against Alzuro......wait, that was meaningless. Yeah, he pretty much chocked. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Ace, you're partially right, but Lifetime is such a big bunch of baby assholes that they get everything they deserve and it was a stupid plan.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Brookhaven should tank their match in the morning just to piss Lifetime off.

    ReplyDelete
  170. The BIgBird layed an egg.

    Big Ego Alan chocked

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

    ReplyDelete
  171. If LTF can beat Garland in the AM it is wide open in the afternoon. It can very easily come down to games won lost as the teams are so close in sets won lost. You could very easily have 3 teams at 3-1 if LTF can beat Garland. LTF would be rooting for Huffines in the afternoon to avoid the tie breaker system.

That is a big AM match. LTF losses they are done with GH and BH and Huffines/Garland battle for the top spot and wild card.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Wickman is available tomorrow - so GTC isn't too worried

    ReplyDelete
  173. Garland should beat Lifetime 3-2. If Wickman plays, Garland wins 4-1.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Where are all the LTFers that normally shoot their mouths off? We heard from Arcaria and the infamous Kenny, but where's big bird, Gerber, Marc or hell even Weinstein? What happened today?

    ReplyDelete
  175. Ace,

Nice observations. I'll be curious to see how Huffhines plays BH. Do they go all out against BH and secure one of the sectional spots or do the try to conserve energy and people to be more competitive against GTC and try to win both matches? I think GTC throws everything and the kitchen sink at LTF in the morning since they were behind the whole Wickman mess. LTF could pay the price for being so hated. I think GTC does beat LTF 4-1. Huffhines and GTC will both be beat to shreds when they play, but both will have the sectional spots secured. Should be fun. Please keep us little people posted. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  176. That's why I believe that tie-breakers should not be allowed for such tight matches... Play full 3rd set. Two points separated a winner and a loser between LFT and hiffines.
The atmosphere was unbelievable there. I can't even imagine the pressure those guys were feeling on the court. All four were tight and choking.
Good luck to both teams tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Yes, it's time to get back to start playing real tennis again in the USTA leagues. Please call and let the DTA know that you want to play a full 3rd set!

    ReplyDelete
  178. maybe all 4 were chocking but big ego gerber clearly choked the most

    ReplyDelete
  179. u r right playing tiebreak instead of 3rd set really sucks. nobody enjoys that. almost like flipping a coin to decide the match.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Brookhaven is 1-6 in third set tie breakers. Unbelievable. Wins in the tie breakers would have really changed the landscape.

    ReplyDelete
  181. The DTA wont change back to a full three sets. They dont give a shit what you want.

    ReplyDelete
  182. If you’re in favor of a full third set instead of a third set tie breaker, you need to call the DTA and let them know. If enough people call, the DTA will bring it to vote next spring before the season starts.

Each year went the DTA brings it to vote, the subject gets rejected by all the old folks and women’s leagues. Its bull shit. If the seniors and women’s leagues want to play a third set tie breaker let them. If the men’s 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 leagues want to play a full third set let them.

If someone is in a full third set and they get over heated and can’t finish the match ….they need to retire from the match.

The leagues really need to get back and play a full third set!

    ReplyDelete
  183. It looks like LTF beat GTC and Bennett/Arcaria lost. Both were unexpected. I guess Fonseca is no ringer.

    ReplyDelete
  184. The biggest problem with a full 3rd set is time. A competitive 2 set match can easily be 2 hours and I think most facilities won't block out the 3 hours it could take if a 3rd set is needed. Plus all the old farts would never allow a full 3rd set. There would be too many heart attacks out there.

    ReplyDelete
  185. If Bennet/Arcaria lose, I would have thought 4-1 GTC. Wiley and Clark are pretty good afterall.

    ReplyDelete
  186. How odd that Big J would play Gordon at singles. That guy is awful. In the playoffs you can't just give a line away. Sisk is experienced enough to know better and that may just cost him Sectionals. He should have at least played Gordon at line 1 and put his supposed ringer at line 2.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Have you seen the lines ???

It is down to the final match. As of now, there are still 4 teams in contention. Huffhines, LTF and Garland all have 9 wins and Greenhill has 8. 2 games lost is the only thing separating LTF and Garland from 2nd and 3rd. Should Garland beat Huffhines, and LTF win against Greenhill, Huffhines would be out and it would got to LTF and Garland. If Greenhill beats LTF and Garland loses to Huffhines, they all 3 will have 2 losses, and if it is a 3-2 loss, all 3 will be tied in wins and losses.

My friends, it is coming down to sets lost and games lost to determine this thing.

I'm sure this is to hard for you anons to handle, but all teams out there this weekend are winners and very equally matched opponents.

    ReplyDelete
  188. LTF wins they are in! Winner of GTC/Huffines is in as well as all 3 have the same wins losses record. If both Garland and LTF lose it will come down to tiebreakers. We all knew this would be close, I am not sure about this close. Even the games lost are real close.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Sorry you are right, GH still has a shot as well!

    ReplyDelete
  190. The top 2 spots are still up for grabs.

    A Huffhines win, 1st place.

A Huffhines win and GH 4-1 win would put GH 2nd.

A Huffhines win and and GH 3-2 win would put all 3 teams in for tiebreakers for 2nd.

A Huffhines win and LFT win, puts LFT 2nd.

A Garland win and GH win will put Garland 2nd.

A Garland win and LFT win will go down to tiebreakers for Huffhines, Garland and LFT 1st and 2nd.

    Check my math.
    Did I miss any scenarios?

    ReplyDelete
  191. WOW! BH a factor in this after all. Taking two lines from huffines and adding 4 sets lost. Now huffines has to go for a win this afternoon. That should put an end to any attempted collusion between sisk/ratcliffe to keep out LTF. Way to go BH. Keep it interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Palacioz,
