  1. The only issue that the mighty Strohl has is that he just gets so much tail. If the mighty Strohl can focus his energies …watch out!

  2. Flight C is a joke!

  3. It looks like Old Man River has a very good chance in winning Flight A with his sandbagger (Anderson, Bert, Molina and Yaremenko) that should have gotten bumped to 4.0. It’s really incredible that these guys are still playing at the 3.5 level. I guess these guys really get off on knowing their 4.0 players and beating up on 3.5 players. If these guys had any balls what so ever they would play up. It’s a shame that these guys just continue to manipulate the system with their on going bullshit. Old Man River with his ethical sack of shit should refuse to allow these players to continue to manipulate the systems.

Old Man River – Say no to this on going bullshit and tell your sandbaggers to play up! If you have any respect for your self and for the game, you should really take action and stop this bullshit.

  4. It would be cool if one could click on the team name and get a link the team’s roster.

Hey OC dude, can you fix this?

    ReplyDelete
  5. If the Oak Ridge Bitches can get through the City Play-off without having one or more of those old bitches having a stroke or a heart attack they deserve it.

Anyone who has seen bert, Anderson, or Molina play they know they are not sandbaggers, just annoying hackers who would rather see someone beat themselves instead of going out and winng a match.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The Croak Ridge Farts are either sandbaggers or a bunch of losers.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Ratty – What’s the deal with your eternal 3.5 players? Don’t any of your eternal 3.5 players have any gonads?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Doesn't look like Mitterer is on the Brookhaven roster yet, perhaps he's holding out as there'a a better offer on the table.....Besides, he only played singles last season, not one game of doubles. At least they got rid of that idiot captain, probably by majority vote.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think LTF will win DCC this year. Alan Gerber will be one of the top 3.5 singles players in town and the team is really strong in doubles.

Only negative is that Bill Kaiser is a poor captain. Not a bad guy but not too bright and the guys do not have much faith in him. Everyone will miss not having Mark Ferrell as captain.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Flight A is a lock, Brookhaven team is loaded with Glen Strohl running the team from behind the scenes. With his vast knowledge of the game he will out captain every team as well as kicking butt on the court. Kraemer has actually moved on to help Patrick McEnroe captain the Davis Cup Team.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ed Ratcliffe is a really good guy. All his players are legit. I dont no why you rag on him.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hey Sisk is going to win 3.5 AGAIN this year.

With 9 players registered he has 4 self-rated ringers and 2 guys that dropped from 4.0 last year. Dirty Garland is still to team to beat.

  13. High Point has NOTHING in the singles department... again. Also, losing Jauregui, Garudhadri, Rodriguez and Harrison is huge. They don't have much left. I don't see how you can pick them.

Lifetime has tons of talent. Lifetime is the team to get it done. They Demetsenaere, Arcaria, Bennett, Weinstein, Scribner, Chan (who was HPs best returning singles player) and Gerber (great singles player). They can put out 5 good lines and I am noone else can do that.

    ReplyDelete
  14. "High Point has NOTHING in the singles department... I don't see how you can pick them."

    Who would you pick?
All of the "good" teams i this division have lost quality players.

I would think HP would have better recruiting options than Westlake.
Who are so far a one season wonder.

    ReplyDelete
  15. To All Anon. I guess having only computor rated players at 3.5 dont mean anything. Its not my problem that the computor system fails but I have NO SELF-Rated Players on my team so shut the HELL UP!!!! Start Picking on the teams with the self-rated players who are the ones playing below there level in most cases. I guess you JERKS think I am this years John Sisk I really dont care what you think!!! You can call me all the names you want -Old Man River,Grandpa,Croak Ridge Farts,Ratty it really doesnt matter to me. Jealousy is a very Bad Thing!!! If you see me in person please say hello I am curious to know who you are if there is more than 1 of you Gutless Guys out there. The best one is Oak Ridge Bitches thats really FUNNY To whoever posted that one SCREW YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Don't know how you call me a poor captain. I won the Fall City Playoffs at 3.0 my first season as a captain. Then went undefeated in the Spring but got out-whitted by the mighty Bob Bender who went on to win Nationals. A year later rebuild a 3.5 team that missed the Fall play-offs by one line lossed. For 4 seasons doing this, that is not a bad track record. Better than 80% of the other captains out there. If I'm such a poor captain and my guys "don't have faith in me", how would I have been able to recruit the players I have on my roster for this Spring season?? You're just sorry you aren't a part of my team.
    kaiser

    ReplyDelete
  17. Someone needs to tell Lifetime Kaiser that there is no "I" in "team"... he makes it sound like he is the reason the team has done well? You can be sure that if the team didnt do well he would post the blame on the players not him... What a dick! Maybe the reason that he gets good players is the fact that there is only one 3.5 team at lifetime and there are 5,000 members there. Not to mention the tennis courts are by the pool and the the MILF'S are out in force when the weather gets warm! I for one say we play all the playoffs at Lifetime, you cant beat the scenery!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anon -

Post who you are if you are going to be calling me names. You are obviously clueless what happens on our team. I usually get 3 or 4 of my player's input for line-ups and anytime we do take a loss, I blame myself, not my players. Throw all the insults you want....it's the last time you hear from me. Let the results of the season speak for itself.
    kaiser

  19. An inbred retard could coach a 3.0 team to the play-offs,
All you have to do is teach 8 monkeys to hold rackets.

    ReplyDelete
  20. LTF is loaded with excellent 3.5 players _ no doubt about that. But I agree that they could have and should have picked a better captain.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Kaiser must be a good coach, why else would a team let a 2.5 player coach them!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm on the LTF 3.5 team. Bill is an OK captain. Besides he was the only guy to step up and organize a team. On the other hand I think almost everyone would prefer to play for Mark Ferrell _ but he is now 4.0.

Captain doesnt matter anyway. We are going to kick ass in 2009.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "I'm on the LTF 3.5 team. Bill is an OK captain. "

    Wow what endorsement,
    Lifetime is Doomed!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think Garland will be good. They have a lot of new guys but they are all self rated. Nobody cared about Garland's computer rated players. It was their self rates that kicked everyone's ass.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Flora only accounted for one line.
They still had to get 2 more wins with their regular players.

The likelihood of being able to stack an entire team with out of level self raters is small,
And if you did you could not hide them, they would be DQ'ed quickly.
Dallas County Club is all self-rates, should we fear them?
They are most likely all closer to 3.0's like most teams starting out.

Garland is not the epicenter of Dallas Tennis, I doubt they have and endless stream of non USTA registered players delivered to their doorstep.

    ReplyDelete
  26. anons are the real voice of league tennis

    ReplyDelete
  27. Kaiser has asked for alot more input this year as he knows he has a team that can get it done. Coaching is not easy because you need to deal with egoes and putting people in their place. Kaiser is much improved this year and is doing the right things thus far so that we have the best team on the court each week. That was not always the case last year, but he is learning from his mistakes. LTF will be fine with Kaiser as the coach.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Prather/Ratcliffe,
Please post clearly that you think all Oak Ridge players are playing at the correct level.
Isn't it convinient now to be hiding behind the computer?
Not as bad as self-rate ringers, but a close second.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I agree with Prather. Oakridge has some high level 3.5s but no ringers like Flora or Mudsam. Those guys were off the chart last year and everyone knew it. Oakridge players are all computer rated. Sure u can argue a couple should have been pushed up. But that's also true for a lot of other teams. There are no "ringers" on the Oakridge 3.5 team. I wish 'em the best this year!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey 2:55 poster; To the tune of Prather's e-mail, it's pretty easy to talk garbage as an anon. One thing is putting something funny out there, but c'mon, your post is completely classless and nowhere close to funny. What would be funny, is if you post your name when you call guys like me out as fags, or better yet, do it face to face. Perhaps then we would find out who the real fag is.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sorry, meant to sign my name on that last post.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  32. Players that should have been moved up or should be but not:

    Molina
    Stein
    Bert
    Anderson
    Bennett
    Atlas
    Gerber
    Klamecki
    Mitterer

Oakridge does have three on this list and there are others.

I am not faulting any of these guys but the computer is not seeing something others see. Of course it cannot see tanking and some of us can.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not one player on the Oakridge has tanked a match, so you cannot be talking about any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Most of the guys on the oak ridge team are tournament players, who are actually trying to improve and move on up to the next level. Anyone who knows them knows that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's probably true for them, but guys like Atlas and others who want to just be professional league players are the ones I'm talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am not sure any of those guys ever tanked a match. I am the above anon and I did not mean to imply that anyone on that list but it is just a casual observation that is has been know to happen.

After reading it, I can see why you felt that way. Gerber was undefeated at #1 singles and he did not get moved up. I am pretty sure he did not tank any matches.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 4:18
The computer is a lot smarter that you will ever be. The guys you listed were not perfect in 3.5 last year. They all lost to other 3.5's, some of which were not even ranked in the top 20. Unless you are DOMINATING at the 3.5 level, and that means kicking ass and taking names and putting bagels on just about everyone, then there is a reasonable chance that you are not going to get kicked up. The computer compares won loss records with your opponents won loss records and makes a determination and sometimes it is only by a small margin that a person gets bumped up.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Atlas???? He went 1-2 in Tri-Level. That does not sound like a tanker or a guy out of level. He is a good 3.5, nothing more and nothing less.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Gerber tanks matches. He is just not very good at it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Now that's funny. I have never tanked a match nor even considered it. IMO, anyone who tanks a match is a complete loser and should be bitch slapped a few times.

As to the ratings, I'll take what the computer gives me. If I would have been bumped up, I'd play 4.0 and take my licks until I got better. But since I didn't, why not play with my friends another season and keep working on my game.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  41. I agree with that. Play where the computer puts you, unless you can prove someone's tanking.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Gerber, Finally someone on this blog that states why we play. The computor tells us where we should play then all these ANONS bitch and moan about it.As the Captain of Oak Ridges Team I have a bunch of players that are friends on and off the court and have great respect for each other. I select my players carefully for team chemistry. We look forward to playing against Lifetime this season and have had great battles every time we have played. Also dont let the ANONS. get under your skin thats all they are trying to do.We always have to deal with those JERKS. Good Luck to your team. See you when we play you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ratcliff and Prather good points. I'm glad Molina is on your team, good talent. It brings good competition to the level and success to your team!

Kaiser get used to it, you have a good team and the abuse continues for those on top. Too funny!!

We do have an average 3.5 team, I just hope to have a little success. Wish everybody well!

If you want to scrimmage Ed, let's do it.

    Sisk

    ReplyDelete
  44. Computer left Defeo and Harvey at 3.5 for the fall. How did Defeo do at 4.0 singles as a 3.5? How did Harvey do at 3.5 singles? Computer perfect?

    Sisk

    ReplyDelete
  45. John Sisk, Our team has practices on Sundays but this weekend we are in the senior playoffs and the following week on Saturday I am working Sunday I have a practice with Benders Super Senior team but maybe we can schedule one April 4th or 5th if you can deal with those 2 days. Please Advise. We have courts available at Oak Ridge and are charged $2 per player. Thanks for the offer it should be fun if we can arrange something. Ed Ratcliffe

  46. Ratty –

If you’re going to continue to be a captain of a USTA 3.5 team within the jurisdiction of the Dallas Tennis Association and the Texas USTA Section; you need to behave, command respect, set an example to others and follow a few simple rules. Such as –

    1) Watch the squeaking and whining.
    2) Do not sign up or take into custody any squeaky or squirmy self rated ratty players.
    3) Do not sign up or take into custody any more squeaky, squirmy, gnawing, ratty looking sandbaggers. You already have five of them on your team.
    4) You do not have the right to squeak wildly on the blog or at any tennis facilities in the state of Texas. Put a cork in it!
    5) You do not have the right to squirm, scratch or bite anyone on the court. No more!
    6) You do not have the right to chew on the nets! Unless you plan to buy new ones! Cheap ass!
    7) You do not have the right to expel your bodily excretions all over the blog or at any tennis facilities in the state of Texas.
    8) Anything you do or say will be taken down and used against you when you return back to your little cage. Just cork it and stay in your little cage!

By the way – before the start of the season …Euuuw, please clean out your tennis bag. It sinks of rat pee.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sisk's team will win its flight with an undefeated record. Let the complaints begin. Don't worry Ed. All of the focus of the anons will be on Garland again this season.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The only complaint is against all the Sisk ass kissing you do. Do you have a man crush on him or what's the deal? And what the hell are you doing in the 3.5 section anyhow, looking to see how you can stand up for Sisk?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nancy is making sense again! Sisk will win his flight. His team doesn’t have any competition! The flight sucks!

Sisk – It’s time to move up!

    ReplyDelete
  50. What a piece of shit poster 7:39 is. Your little numbered rule thing just lets us all see what's coming out of your mind. I really would like to know who you are, so I could see what kind of tennis game you have; probably as big as your one and a half inches you keep needing help with when you piss on the courts after all of your losses.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Rumor has it that Nancy went to Las Vegas with Sisk. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. When Nancy returned to Dallas, she was all smiles and humming, more the cushion, less the ….. And Sisk was walking around with a limp.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I agree! Ratdick needs to stop the squeaking & whining. He sounds like an old lady. I also heard the he did bite someone last year. I believe he took a morsel out of someone’s arm at Oak Creek during the spring season last year.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ed – Please tell us that in the past you haven’t asked a few of our players to tank or to manipulate a game or two in order to keep our roster.

    ReplyDelete
  54. very, very few players ever tank games or matches yet anons accuse p;ayers of doing that all the time

    ReplyDelete
  55. All this talk about captains and tanking matches. It just does not matter. Brookhaven will run away with it this year. We have the very best captain in the city in Glen Strohl. You can go down the line and see that one by one each player on the team is superior.

    ReplyDelete
  56. when was the last time Brookhaven 3.5 won anything???

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well Brookhaven won the fall 3.5. But winning fall is pretty meaningless. No one really gives a shit about the fall _ its mostly social tennis. The ringers come out in the spring. (*_*)

    ReplyDelete
  58. First interesting topic since Tri-level and it turns to this well reasoned and civil discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Sisk will win again with a bunch of self-rated ringers.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Sisk may be the worst one on here. What he does by manipulating the system is no different than tanking matches. There's no doubt he has his self rates control the match scores to avoid red flags. And all for the sake of what? Going to nationals to get his ass handed to him (and that's a BIG task) and come back with less friends than he left with. Not worth it IMO, just do the best you can and have fun, without cheating. But that's not possible for him, he can't have a team without the recruited self rates, his fat ego can't handle losing at real 3.5 tennis.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I don't think Sisk's team manages scores. Did anyone look at Flora's scores. If he was managing scores, he failed... miserably. This is not in support of Sisk; he recruits guys way out of level but he lets them play.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love that BH and LTF are in the same flight! Too bad that sh&t bag Kraemer is not coaching anymore to take the beating!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. We all know the computer rating system is completely wrong at times, but if a player is computer ranked as 3.5 and he wants to play 3.5 then let him. There is nothing sand bagging about that imo. Oak Ridge has a good legit team and more power to them. We look forward to playing them this year, should be a good match!

    Arcaria

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't care if someone sandbags. I am out here to pay tennis and for the 1 or 2 players per year who are actually sandbagging, I am not going to whine about it. Most people whining are those who think they are better than all others at their level and someone has the audacity to be better than them.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Flight A Brookhaven might be strong, but rest assured Glen S. will be playing line 2 or 3 by choice. He & Brookhaven are going to see some real tennis this season.

    ReplyDelete
  66. To the above poster:

    AMEN
    AMEN
    AMEN

    ReplyDelete
  67. I can't wait to play and kick some serious ass this season. No doubt I'm the best singles player out there so if I make some 3.5ers cry & whine along the way to getting bumped up after this season, so be it. People who stay at 3.5 longer than a year are just queers anyhow.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oh and I ment to post my name on that last post.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  69. It has been proven many times over that the computer dose not work, otherwise there is no way that Prather would have ever been bumped to a 4.0!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Prather is a VERY strong player.

    ReplyDelete
  71. prather was the #1 ranked 3.5 player in texas last year. he HAD to be bumped

    ReplyDelete
  72. Prather is as tough as a Russian tractor. And I mean that in a good way.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Whom ever that was that posted my name above is quite the comedian in his own mind but I'm afraid you are full of shit. Don't quit your day job, perhaps you should just consider quitting tennis.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  74. Ed that sounds good, pencil it in. We can do it there or Gtc.

    Sisk

    ReplyDelete
  75. Anon, All friends stick together!!
Corey, Jacques are friends and will back them vs anybody.

Sad to see you w/o friends! Seek a Church!!!!!

    Sisk

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ratty – Outstanding! I’m glad that you agree to a few basic rules for yourself. Everyone would really like to see you stand up to the plate and tell your Sandbaggers to move up. Their number is up. If your Sandbaggers really want to improve, they would focus their time & efforts playing at the 4.0 level. Be a winner, raise the bar and set an example. Be a man about the issue and take action.

    ReplyDelete
  77. This Glenn Strohl that’s on Brookhaven is a real son of a gun and real ringer. He loves to give his opponents a slow death.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hey OC BL you do a fantastic job with the blogsite. Thanks.

But it would be really cool if we could click on a team and see only the self-rated ringers who are way out of level.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Flight A is the toughest!

It’s really going to be a battle between Brookhaven, Lifetime Fitness and the Oak Bitches. It’s going to be a very difficult and long season for both Lifetime Fitness & the Oak Bitches. The real wild card is Brookhaven. Since Brookhaven already has an invite into the city championship tournament, they actually have the power to manipulate a few things. Brookhaven could take one of the spring invite slots to the city championship and pass on their current invite from the fall or capitalize on their invite from the fall and control to a certain extent on who they would like to see make it to the city championship this spring.

In order for Lifetime Fitness and the Oak Bitches to secure an invite into the city championship tournament, both teams are going to have to rack up some points and can really only afford to have one lose. So, it’s really comes down to a battle against Lifetime and the Bitches. Both of them must beat Brookhaven and then fight it out between them in order to obtain an invite into the city championship.

Brookhaven could actually knock out both Lifetime and the Bitches from making it to the city championship. This would be funny.

    The pressure is already on!

Kaiser – you better start looking for some ringers. You’re going to have to do something to beat the Bitches. As of right now, Ratcliffe has the manpower to whip up on you, 5 – 0 with his stable of ringers. You really do have your work cut out for you. When it’s all said and done, your team really needs to go undefeated in order to secure an invite into the city championship. Going undefeated is a very tough thing to do! I just don’t see how you’re going to do it with your current roster. Looks like you and your team will miss the cut again. It’s going to take some real management skills, leadership and thinking out of the box in order for you to take your team to the city championship. You recently outlined your leadership skills on the blog. Your real test is to come and we’ll all see what you’re made of. You really got beat to the punch and out foxed last season. You’re really going to have to crank it up and be on top of your game if your team is going to have a chance at all. You better get down on your hands and knees! Oh well, better luck in the fall.

I know …it really suck to know that your team has really no chance in making it to the city championship and the season hasn’t even started. You just need to open up the old wallet and sign up some players. You know what needs to be done! Just do it!

Both Lifetime Fitness and the Oak Bitches need to gain the support of Brookhaven! Both Kaiser and Ratcliffe need to be kissing Brookhaven’s ass.

I know …it’s a tough one to swallow! You better be able to control your gag reflexes. If not, you better start practicing!

Brookhaven is in the driver seat! They should have a lot of fun kicking some ass this season and really messing with Kaiser’s head again!

  80. “Don't know how you call me a poor captain. I won the Fall City Playoffs at 3.0 my first season as a captain. You're just sorry you aren't a part of my team.
    Kaiser”

What ….? Hmmmm ….? What …..? I don’t think so ………? Let’s not rewrite history …..? What happen last season? We had faith in you, until you fell asleep at the wheel! Yes, I was sorry that I was part of your team last season! It really sucked!

  81. ”Prather is as tough as a Russian tractor. And I mean that in a good way.”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_TT43UayPw

What does this mean? Are you stating that Prather is jjust and old fart that hobbles along?

I just don’t understand how you could mean what you said in a good way. Are you taking any type of medication?

    ReplyDelete
  82. yes brookhaven has a very, very good team. but i think sicko sisk will beat them in the playoffs with a bunch of self-rated ringers.

    ReplyDelete
  83. To the ANON.JACKASS that constantly states that Oak Ridge has a bunch of sandbaggers and ringers. All of there players are computor rated at 3.5 level including the 2 new additions Molina, Yaremenko. Ratcliffe does a great job of recruiting players because he is well liked by all his players.I dont think he cares about all the names his team is called by all the Jealous Guys who probably would like to play for him. Also cut the Crap about Prather the name calling is getting way out of control. If you ANONS could play as well as you name call you would improve your game.Get out on the court more and stay off the BLOG. ONE of The Oak Ridge BOYS!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. LOL that Brookhaven controls group A and that LTF does not have the roster to get it done. We will see this year. LTF has a much better team this Spring than they did in the Fall and they played a very close match in the Fall that decided who went to the playoffs. Brookhaven will finish third losing to both LTF and Oak Ridge. The match between Oak Ridage and LTF will decide the division winner, mark it down!!!

    ReplyDelete
  85. "What ….? Hmmmm ….? What …..? I don’t think so ………? Let’s not rewrite history …..? What happen last season? We had faith in you, until you fell asleep at the wheel! Yes, I was sorry that I was part of your team last season! It really sucked!"

This is just someone trying to stir it up. If it is someone from our team come out and say who you are. Kaiser is not the reason we lost last year, where some mistakes made, yes, but they were not the reason we lost. We lost 2 close matches 3-2 (one of them all 3 losses were in 3rd set tiebreaks), end of story. If you are on our team maybe you should worry about winning yourself, as the only person that could say they did their part every week was Gerber who went 8-0. But Like I said I highly doubt this is someone form our team!

  86. You go little muffin!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Arcaria why did you drop out of ultimate tennis?

    ReplyDelete
  88. I didn't. I have played a couple matches the past couple days.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Calling another man lil muffin is gay.

    ReplyDelete

  91. Why isn't Samuel Gradn/Robberson getting any love? They went 8-0 in the fall and won their flight. I know they went 0-2 in the playoffs but I still think they can compete with everybody else in their flight except for Turdy Gardland.

  92. The attacks on Ed are getting out of hand. He is doing what any captain should do to win, recruiting the best players possible at his level. Your gripes are with the USTA computer, not Ed.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I am on board with Corey on this. Ed is putting his best players out. Most (maybe all.. I have not looked closely) are not self rated and those I know are good guys.

The goal is to win with dignity and Ed has done nothing to deserve criticism.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Ed is a very good guy and so is Greg. LET THE NTRP SYSTEM WORK. If Ed's guys were too strong for 3.5 they would have been pushed up. They are legit 3.5s.

Greg played hard at 3.0 a two year ago and was not DQed. (In fact he got a beat 2x at Sectionals and 2x at Nats). By definition he was not too strong for 3.0.

Losers --> get over it! Your whining is getting old.

  95. When old Ratdick continues to have his players tank and manipulate matches in order to keep his players at 3.5 level, it’s a problem. He needs to be proactive in promoting and encouraging his players to move up. Ratdick is part of the root cause that just continues the problem. His players love him, great! When he continues to try and hide his players by having them get overwhelmed, sick, tank, manipulate the game on court, etc ….it just gets a little old. Ratdick just hides behind his old Man River face and shrugs his shoulders …who me? We’ll continue to call a spade, a spade and cheater, a cheater until the problem is resolved.

  102. Its crazy to call Oakridge players ringers or sandbaggers. In all of 2008 we had 1 guy (Glenn Flora) who was WAY out of level and another borderline (Jon Mudsam). Everyone else was fine and the top teams were very competitive.

The best 2009 Oakridge players are all legit high-level 3.5 players. None approqaches Glenn Flora for example.

JUST BECAUSE THESE GUYS CAN BEAT YOU DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE OUT OF LEVEL.

Let the USTA computer rate players. Thats not your job. Dont be a whinney bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  103. All this talk about sandbaggers and people managing scores is ridiculous. Take Glen Strohl for example. He is a former Division 1 All American who in all counts should be playing 4.5 at the least but he has a rating of 3.5. except the rating for what it is and PLAY. Put the time into practice like the dominant players, IE.. Glen, Rene Alzuro, do and you will win just like they do.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Nancy – You’re out of line to even make a comment about the issue. When is the last time you ever watched a 3.5 league match? In particular when is the last time you ever watched Ratdick’s team? You even made a statement a few weeks ago shortly before the Brookhaven tournament that you didn’t know shit about the 3.5 players.

  106. Gerber –

You can talked out of both sides of your month?

Prather originally built the team two years ago. Over the last two years the team has had some players that should have been bumped over this period of time. Just do a little homework before you open your month. Go back two years ago, look at the roster, compare it to today’s roster and they look at the individual tournament and league records for each individual. You will find that there are a few individuals that should have been clearly bumped over the last 1 to 2 years. These individuals haven’t been bumped because they and along with Ratdick have been manipulating the system.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Only one ringer on Oak Bitches is a ringer…. Dive a little deeper. What about: Mark Anderson, Samuel Bert and Enrique Molina. All three of these guys should have been bumped this year.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I agree! Ed’s team does have a few suspicious 3.5 players that should probably be rated 4.0. If they were rated 4.0, they would be low level 4.0 players. I don’t think Ed would disagree with this. It would also be healthier for the league if these types of players would push themselves and have the confidence to play up. It would also make them better players.

When an individual is at the top of this level for 2 – 3 years in league play and in local & state tournaments – It’s time for this individual to move up. If an individual continues to stay at the same level, you just have to shake your head and wonder … Some individuals lack the confidence to change. Sometimes these types of individuals need help from others. This is where a Captain like Ed could possibly step in and provide some guidance to these type of individuals. Also others from within the league can also provide some guidance for these individuals to move forward.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Glen Strohl is a master and individual of his own world. Glen will defiantly kick some tail this season at the 3.5 level. Brookhaven is very lucky to have Glen on their team. Glen has the ability to play on any team that he wants to. Whatever line Glen plays on for Brookhaven, he’ll win. The other teams will still have an opportunity to possibly win the other 4 lines. Overall it doesn’t really matter because Brookhaven will win. Other teams within Flight A, shouldn’t look at Brookhaven as an opponent, they should look at Brookhaven as a partner. It’s the sum of all the parts. It’s a long season for the team and for each individual on the team. Each individual needs to play smart and win. Each team needs to be managed in a smart way and rack up as many team wins and individual wins and dropping as few sets and games as possible. Guys if you have individuals on your team wearing blinders, wake them up. You have to play smart. It’s not about whom you are, it’s about the team. It’s about the relationships that your team has. It’s about working with your partners. It’s about playing smart!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Your right! Some teams have some great individual talent and the team just does win. The talent and the team just isn’t managed to well or a least to it’s potential.

    ReplyDelete
  111. It’s really bullshit that Glen Strohl is even allowed to play in the league. Strohl is a very crafty mofo. He just plays enough (like a half of step) above his opponents to crush them … mentally. When Strohl is on the court, he’s playing the game from many different dimensions, both physical and mental. The Strohl is very cunning! When he’s on the court, he's constantly in tune with what’s happening. You may think he doesn’t know, but he does. Strohl is operating in a stealth mode, messing with his opponent and his opponent doesn’t even know it …until he walks off the court as a loser. Strohl is a ninja warrior and constantly applying NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) to his opponent. His opponents don’t even know what's hit them! The Strohl is a genius! The Strohl is just operating at such a different level.

  118. Wow, that record is really awesome. I have not seen any of the Oakridge players play, but I can look at results just like anybody else. I would say Oleg and Enrique should be 4.0, but is it Ed's fault that they have a 3.5 rating? If he didn't let them join his team they would be playing for somebody else and beating him. I'm pretty sure most of these complaints are bogus anyway and once the season starts I know the focus will shift elsewhere.

    Patrick Wire - Self rater
Conan D. Heath - self rater

    John Sisk - Fat
    Brent Andrew Hathcock- ok

If these players were on there team I am sure it would be another issue. If you look at the Oak Ridge 4.0 team you would see that most of our roster is playing on it. I guess as the season goes on we will see how those results are.So why dont you ANONS find someone else to BITCH about!!!! 125. My question is, why don't the owners of this blog at least make people get a nickname or something to go by that must at least be backed by an email address or the like? I can understand some of the anons posting for the sake of humor, but some of the garbage is way out of hand, and especially when people start making others look bad by putting others names on the post. The system is the system, and if people don't like it, then go play womens tcd or whatever else makes you happy. But if you are going to come on here accusing people of crap and calling people names, then grow some hair on your gonads and post your name by it. But that's just wishful thinking. The saddest part is that the anons making all the derogatory comments are probably the nicest guys on the courts, and they take out all their childhood incestual issues on this blog.

  135. Why dont u leave Ed alone? There are no ques he needs to answer. All his players are computer rated 3.5. He has no self-rated ringers. Some of his guys are certainly high level 3.5 but still legit. None of his guys tank matches or manage scores. WHATS WRONG WITH YOU MAN?

    ReplyDelete
  136. The issue is that Ratdick has in the past told his Sandbaggers to manage their scores by tanking a game or set during a USTA league match in order to make a match appear to be a competitive match so they don’t get bumped. This is wrong for Ratdick to be doing this and manipulating the system. Ratdick states and so do you that all of his players are legit because their computer rated. I’m calling Ratdick out on the carpet. The problem is that Ratdick’s players have bogus computer ratings. Ratdick and his Sandbaggers have been cheating the system. Hopefully this isn’t acceptable for you! I’m calling a spade a spade and a cheater, a cheater. Ratdick deflects the question(s) and issue(s) instead of addressing it. Ratdick has been participating in the league for a long time. Ratdick knows the systems. Ratdick – we’re waiting …..

  137. Those types of charges reflect poorly on YOU.

Where is your proof that Oakridge guys shaved games / tanked/ kept the scores close? That is something you can never know for sure. It is something that cannot be proved or disproved.

So why raise those issues. Its just mudslinging.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I dont play for Oakridge but I do know most of their players. Ed is a real stand up guy. His teammates are good guys as well. I'm sure none are tanking matches or managing scores.

  140. It’s interesting, over a year ago the principal and other employees of a Dallas based South Oak Cliff High School were asked if there was organized bare-knuckled fights going on in a steel utility cage inside the boys locker room. The answer was no, no way, I know the principal … he’s a stand up guy, no I know so and so, no, no, no way …. Now it’s all coming out! The principal knew about it and approved of it. Surprise!

Old president William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton and his friends had to eat crow over his actions and comments about never having sexually relations with Monica Lesinsky. Everyone was saying, Bill is great, Bill is a real stand up guy, no way, …, …, etc … Surprise!

For years there was a very nice gentleman that was stating that Madoff was cheating, lying, etc about his return on investment to his investors. What! No! Not Madoff. I know Madoff. Madoff is a stand up guy! I know Madoff’s friends, family, workers …etc, No way! Surprise!

There has been several recent stories about pillars of the community, government & religious personalities stating the same thing, No, I’m not cheating on the district that I serve, No, I’m not cheating on my wife, No, I’m not cheating my congregation, No, I’m not having sex with children, etc Surprise!

Before it was learned that AIG had to receive a government bailout …..Problems with AIG …..No! Surprise! After AIG receive a government bailout ….. Bonuses? …What …..No way! Surprise!

It all starts out doing and saying the same thing, blame someone else, call people names, start deflecting, avoid the questions, and get others to try & say something positive about you or the situation. ….and then Surprise!

  141. I just looked at Enrique Molina's record on TennisLink. I see nothing strange. He beat a lot of guys badly when clearly he could have kept the score close. I see no terrible losses. He even played competitively in some 4.0 matches.

SPECIFICALLY WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Anyone else see anything strange regarding Molin's record??? I can't figure this out.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Nice job today, Greenhill senior 3.5 and High Point senior 3.5 both won matches setting up a showdown tomorrow morning.

    Good luck to both teams!

    ReplyDelete
  143. You do have a point! I just briefly looked at the record (league and tournament) for Molina over the last three years. The guy has definitely improved. Last year he finished second in the state for 3.5 singles (tournaments). The guy above him who finished first (David Prather) got bumped to 4.0 and so did several below him. In just looking at Molina tournament record, you have to scratch your head and wonder why he didn’t get bumped to 4.0. Some say he doesn’t have strokes polished enough to be a 4.0. Well it doesn’t really matter. It’s your performance that counts. Molina should have been bumped to the 4.0 level based upon this tournament record. If your look at his league play, he did lose a couple matches against some guys that really aren’t that good, thus is helped him stay at the 3.5 level. One has to wonder why Molina lost these particular matches. Maybe he wasn’t feeling well, maybe he wasn’t into the playing a match on that particular day, maybe to tanked a match here or there. Who really knows? At the end of the day, one would think that Molina would want to be challenged by saying goodbye to the 3.5 level and focus on playing at the 4.0 level. If his strokes are truly not that good, he’ll get whipped up on at the 4.0 level and eventually get bumped down. I would think a guy like Molina would want to be challenged by moving up on this own and seeing how he can do.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yes right off the bat I see something very strange about the record for Molina. He won a lot of matches at the 3.5 level. He finished last year at the top of heap for the 3.5 level. He played some 4.0 matches last year and was very competitive. He should have been bumped to the 4.0 level. Why in the hell is he still playing at the 3.5 level? Something is messed up.

    ReplyDelete

I think you hit the nail on the head! In quoting you: 1) He beat a lot of guys badley. 2) See no terrible losses. 3) He even played competitively in some 4.0 matches. Hhmmmm.

Wow! And Molina is still playing at the 3.5 level?

    ReplyDelete
  146. There is nothing in Molina's record that looks like he tanked a match or managed his scores. In fact just the opposite. He beat a lot of guys badly when he easily could have kept those scores close.

Its a legit question to wonder why the computer did not bump him to 4.0. But the same thing could be said about 20 other guys playing 3.5. We just have to accept the computer's decision on that.

Yes, it is legit to ask why doesnt he challenge himself and play level 4.0. But it does not make him a cheater to play another year at 3.5.

Quit hiding behind the standard old statements! Address the questions and issues of the 3.5 Sandbaggers that are on your team that have manipulated the system and should be 4.0 players. You have guys on your team that should really be 4.0 players.

You sound like all the cheaters listed above: William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton, Madoff, etc

If you were to ask the above cheaters if they could do anything different, they would probably say they wish they never got involved and they wish they came clean when the mess first stated.

You have a perfect opportunity to clean up your roster now, before the season starts. You’re the captain of the team. The buck stops with you. We don’t need statements or commentaries from others on your behalf. We want to hear something intelligent from you about the questions and issues regarding the Sandbaggers on your team.

  164. That's exactly what people are talking about here. A guy that does well at 4.0 for the most part, why would he even want to play 3.5?

What a big puss, be a man and play your level.

    ReplyDelete
  165. The subject about ringers on the Oak Bitches is getting old. It has been an old subject for the last two years, ever since the team was started. Over this period of time several individuals should have been bumped. Members of the Oak Bitches continue to file petitions and manipulate / manage their scores in order to not get bumped. One example is Prather; He finished within the top 20 in singles, got bumped to 4.0, petitioned, got bumped down, dominated the 3.5 singles last year, finished first, got bumped again, tried to petition & failed. During this time Prather managed his league matches. He would only win his league match when required or lose other wise. Prather always looked like he was playing to his full ability, unfortunately he wasn’t. It will be interesting to see if he’ll manage his 4.0 matches. Probably on the down side, so he can get bumped back down to 3.5. A current example of a guy that has done very well in tournaments is Molina. Molina will only win his league match if the team requires his win. Molina always starts his match last and plays slow. This is done in order to protect his rating. If the Oak Bitches are a head (3 – 1) or if it looks like the team can win over all without Molina, Molina will lose. If the Oak Bitches are down and they need Molina to win, Molina will always win. This kind of crap has been going on for the last two year during both the spring and fall seasons.

  166. Molina might be rated as a 3.5, but he’s a 4.0. Just ask him. He’ll state that he’s probably a low level 4.0. The computer pass Molina over because of his league results. The computer puts more weight on league play versus tournament play. Since Molina managed his league play, he was able to slide by. If worst came to worst and Molina was bumped. You would have seen him appeal and go down the same path as others from Oak Bitches have done.

  167. Molina stands out as a sandbagger within the 3.5 Dallas USTA Men’s league like a super model walking down the catwalk with herpes.

Molina – give it up and move up!

  168. To all you bitchers out there why dont you stop ragging on Oak Ridge and start to look at the team that has the most sandbaggers. That would be Lifetime Fitness thay are known for this and it continues without a word being said!!! Well now is the time.Look at there players Gerber,Chan,Demetenaere and tell me why they are not considered SANDBAGGERS???? They also have 3-5 Self-Rated probably RINGERS but they skate by on this BLOG!!! Well its time get off Oak Ridge and focus on the real offenders.

  169. The participating (across the board) in the tournament at the Village was very piss poor.

  170. Hey dipshit 7:40 pm poster; Sounds like you are assuming the lifetime guys are the ones ragging on Oak Ridge but you are mistaken. We could care less who's on your team, we just want to play. And since you choose to include me on your little list, please tell me exactly what match I tanked or manipulated or any other reason why you would think I'm sand-bagging? I've been playing for a whole 3 years now and have mentioned previously that should I get bumped to 4.0, I'll play there and see how it goes, gladly. In fact, I look forward to getting bumped up. Stop trying to get the focus on lifetime and do your research before talking garbage you idiot.

  171. It will be fun to reflect back on the plethora of comments focusing on Lifetime and Oakridge at the end of the season, after both Canyon Creek teams win not only B and C, but one of them (likely the revamped Gable team) will also win over the flight A winners (likely to be Lifetime)in the city playoffs.

  172. Hey Prather,

Do you think that your are some clean living person because you write "dipsh_t" instead of dipshit??? What is up with you?

Also you never want to adress the fact that you always try and appeal down when you get bumped for touting youself as a top ranked player in the state... Why? Just answer the question and quit deflecting.

  173. For all you guys that are saying Molina should be at 4.0 - if you look at his tournament record it looks like he lost to Getz in a tournament. That is probably enough of a reason to keep him at 3.5.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Now that is funny. I retract all prior protests about Molina needing to be a 4.0

    ReplyDelete
  175. Canyon Creek never Wins anything they probably wont even make the Playoffs. There teams are not very good same old roster.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I have played on Oak Ridge teams for over one year. I can not believe those two guys saying they don't have any anons posting on here. Man, I mean we stand around at practice laughing about who is going to post what on this site. So, they can proclaim whatever they want to but, they know.

    ReplyDelete
  177. To the last ANON that says he is an Oak Ridge player I doubt it because when we practice we dont stand around.WE PRACTICE so dont post as one of our players if you cant post your name. Also we dont discuss all the stupid stuff on it.ONE OF THE REAL OAK RIDGE PLAYERS.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Oak Ridge is like the Cowboys - you love them or you hate them, lots of perceived talent, strong regular season performance, and disappointment come play-off time.
If I'm correct, they have not won even one team match at a city championship. History will repeat and they might make the QT but will not advance to cities.

  180. It's really stupid to question the NTRP computer. It's not perfect BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS. AND IT IS THE SAME FOR EVERYONE.

Every year the way out-of-level ringers are SELF RATED guys (like Glen Flora last year) that result in unfair competition.

It's stupid to complain about computer-rated players. It won't do any good and none of them are WAY out of level any way.

    ReplyDelete
  181. To 6:19 poster, you are right.

I have never seen Lipsie post before, so unless he uses a real logged post I won't believe that was him.

  182. Prather – Just because Zach Stein or someone else does something doesn’t mean you have to do it. You sound like a little kid. Please set an example to others. If you’re at the top of a level and the computer bumps you up – play up. Don’t be a puss about it. Quit pressing the appeal button (A.K.A – The idiot button).

Since you claim to be such a good friends with Molina and his former captain, why don’t you have a talk with him? Encourage him to move up. Apparently the current captain of the Oak Bitches doesn’t have the balls to do it. Thank you for everyone in the 3.5 league!

    ReplyDelete
  183. Ratty – Please address the questions and issues that pertain to you team. In particular, your Sandbaggers.

    ReplyDelete
  184. David P –

Questions have been asked of the current Oak Ridge captain about sandbaggers on the team. We would really like to hear from Ed? Each time Ed makes a statement, he doesn’t address the questions. Please talk with Ed and have him address the questions in a positive and forthright fashion to everyone on the blog. Ed has a few guys on the roster that have a huge spot light on them. If Ed wants to dim the light a bit or to get his players out of the spot light, have Ed address the questions.

    Thank you,

  185. It would be nice if Old Man River could answer the questions in a calm, cool and collective way.

  186. Have faith in the NTRP system. Really bad guys get DQed. Makes no sense to complain about computer rated players _ your complaints done mean crap.

Molina and the Oakridge boys are all playing at the correct level. If you dont like it _ TOUGH!

  187. I don't like it and I don't like cheaters!!!!!!!!!!!

  188. It would be nice to see Ratty or Prather stand up and do the right thing.

  189. David and Ed – for the love and integrity of the game and league – Please talk with Molina and have him do the right thing.

  190. Sounds like Lipsie might be a little bitter for getting "cut" from the Lifetime Ferrell team last year as now he cant wait to kick Lifetimes ass!!! Lets hope he can make the lineup that day...

  191. Dave – Please answer the questions. Or have Ed answer the questions if you’re not capable. You’re reverting back to the same old thing, deflecting the questions and throwing out names & insults. You’re a smart guy! You and the Oak Ridge team have been using and manipulating the system for two years, it’s time to stop. You sound like a liberal democrat wanting to support welfare and food stamps for someone for their entire life. You guys get all upset about so and so, while at the same time the Oak Ridge team has the biggest Sandbagger and the most Sandbaggers than any team in the league. You guys really need to pick your self up, raise your standards, clean up the roster, have a little confidence and play up.

    ReplyDelete
  192. All this talk about Molina. Let him play Glen Strohl. Once Glen hands a beating like he has never seen before then all this talk of tanking matches will stop. Let him beat someone of Glen's ability and then you can talk. Until he beats the best your just part of the rest. That is an quote straight from Glen's mouth.

  193. Those anons that keep harping on Molina are insane. Prather keeps telling them the answers and they call it "deflecting". They must be too stupid to understand how the computer works. Enrique, who is an extremely nice guy, won a lot of matches last year due to his grit and determination. He also lost matches to other people at 3.5 that did not get bumped up. He lost to Gilberto Flores. How come all the anons are not screaming for Flores to be moved up to 4.0? He lost to Mike Getz in the Cotton Bowl and was losing to Getz in San Antonio when Getz retired. How come all the anons are not screaming for Getz to be moved up to 4.0. I could give you other examples of matches that Enrique lost. He did not come out on top at the Best of the Best, if he had, he would have been bumped up for sure. This year, Molina is playing at the 4.0 level and smaller tournaments and is playing where he is computer rated in league and in major tournaments. So what? Are you too much of a pussy to want to face him? Don't you realize that it can help your own game to play someone like Molina who will make you work your ass off to try and beat him? He can be beaten, it has been shown, you just have to be willing to outwork him, which is not easy to do. So quit your whining and bitching and get to work.

  195. The only retards are the anons that keep on asking the same stupid questions about Molina and Oakridge

  196. Hi all,

I just saw all of this blog as Ed sent me info on my team. This blog is funny and sad simultaneously!

Tennis is about sportsmanship on and off court! Please respect and follow this rule. And, most importantly, have fun playing tennis.

I saw some serious accusations. Those were not funny at all!

About Molina... Computer uses more decimals to rank players than what we see. Molina is probably 3.97 right now, which means he is "3.5" player and he is playing in a right division. I've known Enrique for many years and am certain 99.99% that he did not manage his matches. I know that he wants to be as high as possible on NTRP system. But this is not his choice what ranking he is assigned. BTW, He was very upset when he was moved down back to 3.5 (from short rank as a 4.0) last year. He did not move himself back, the computer did it for him. He was genuinely upset at that. But he needs to solidly earn his right to be a 4.0, right?
The same probably true about other Oakridge players who were singled out.

About myself... I was also very upset to learn this year that I was moved down from 4.0 to 3.5! I was signing up for Abilene MZ this year and saw NTRP 3.5 for me. Please note the passive voice... “was moved down...” by the system/computer. Please complain to USTA that the system needs some improvement (if any). I did not manage my matches at the tournaments! Who wants to sign up and lose in the main draw and consolation?
I think the system is not perfect but it is doing good job. I (along with the likes of Molina, etc) need to prove myself and earn the right to be higher than 3.5. I hope we will have good season and get legitimately moved up to 4.0. Until then, there is a lot of tennis to be played! Let's come out and compete as hard as we can!

  197. Oleg -

You can always play up. If you are worried about becoming a 4.0, then play 4.0 and get some wins. You don't "have to play down at 3.5". Step it up and play where you think you belong, not what the computer thinks.

Using the computer as an excuse to play down a level from where you really know your skill level is, that is just being a big puss.

    ReplyDelete
  198. This debate can go on forever. Is it really fair to other "legitimate" 4.0 players to get the opportunity to squash a 3.5 that is playing up? Think about that- let's say you are a 4.0 and you had a tough morning match against another legit 4.0 in a tourney and then your next opponent is fresh as a daisy after having thrashed a 3.5 that is playing up. Is that fair? If you want to play up for the experience, that is fine. Enrique is doing so in some 100 point tournaments. BUT WHO THE F ARE YOU TO CALL ANYONE A PUSS WHEN THEY ARE PLAYING IN THEIR CORRECT LEVEL?

    ReplyDelete
  199. You are right that I can play up (BTW, which I did in the past).
I am not sure whether I am a 4.0 or not. What is 4.0? People tell me that USTA team tennis is much harder than tournaments where tourney 4.5 players are really 4.0s in league tennis, and, tourney 4.0 players are league's 3.5 players. I don't know whether I am 3.5 or not. The only way to find out is to play it. I just started playing tournaments at 4.0 level. I had some mixed results. So, am I 4.0?
And, BTW, do you know how I ended up in 3.5? I played up really high; I was not a puss! And, I got my ass kicked out of there all the way to 3.5. Honestly, I see some players on 3.5 teams whom I lost to before. Samuel Burt beat me in 2 easy straight sets in Brookhaven member league 6-7 years ago. I see some others that beat me in the past. So, I am not sure I am totally out of league here.
I competed the best I could in upper divisions (where half players were solid/avg 4.0s) and my ass is still aching from the beatings I received.
So, that's how I am 3.5; I will try to prove myself and get bumped to 4.0. If USTA bumps now, it is OK. But it did not. I just signed up for Houston MZ and computer still has me "NTRP 3.5". [for 12:27 posting] Can you change it?
