USTA Dallas 4.0, 3.5, 3.0 Tri Level

AKA - The Fake Tri-Level
AKA - Tri-Level Jr.

3.0 and 3.5 - How many will be induced into instant narcolepsy?

The first Tri Level is this weekend at Brookhaven County Club.
The teams don't look to be quite as High Powered as the 3.5,4.0,4.5 Tri-level.

Lucky Thunder is scheduled to emerge from his self imposed tennis exile.
I would put his team as the odds on favorite.
Bowman & Hutchison will be tough to beat at 4.0
But Lucky Thunder is not signed to the active roster?

Team Bill Kaiser has good depth (like most Lifetime Teams)
With the recent sandbagging allegations and 5 matches in 3 days his team might fair well.

Past that there are not any real standouts on anybody's team.
It should be up for grabs.

4.0, 3.5, 3.0 Tri Level

  1. OC BL is horrible at writing topics. We want Lucky Thunder back!!!!

  2. Lucky Thunder is locked away in a metal hospital.

If you guys want somebody to move the topics along and keep all the inbreed anons from questioning each others sexuality, I'm all you have.

At least I'm better than Cory.

  3. This blog is terrible. Now we get to read a thread on the fake tri-level.

    ReplyDelete
  4. love the blog keep it rolling OC BL

  5. if fat was an inert gas, hutchinson would be a blimp

    ReplyDelete
  6. why u ragging on some1 volunteering his time? seriously? get some courtesy!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Burt & Deitrick win it. Kirviac wins his level at 3.5. They win the whole thing

    ReplyDelete
  8. I will try my best to be on the roster by Friday. BTW sectionals for both events are at Kingwood according to USTA/Texas.

Not sure if Jon Newks fell thru or never was, not sure what happened there.

As far as favs. Who knows. I like our crew but 3.0s are a mystery to me on all the teams including my own so that one is a toss up.

    BTW. OC BL Rocks!

  9. Lets throw out names and then take a round thrashing that person. Seems to be the norm for this blog

Leonard is apparently the lucky 1st guy on the attack list. This tri-level is really weak if Leonard and Trae are the elites in the draw. Too bad Leonard is first as he's a cool guy - this is a much funner drill when the person is a dick - so I will just leave it at this guy sucks and I wipe the floor with him when we play

    ReplyDelete
  10. I heard he is sponsored by Goodyear!

    ReplyDelete
  11. WTF .....

I just reviewed the rosters for the 4.0, 3.5 and 3.0 Tri-Level teams. Oh my god! The rosters are the weakest lines ups I have ever seen! Why even have this tournament. What a waste of time. Only two things really capture my attention about the teams; 1) Kaiser’s team is full of cheaters and con-artist and 2) What the hell is Marc Klamecki (AKA – OC BL or Tuffer or Two Face) doing on Spencer’s team signed up as a 3.5? When Tuffer was called out on the carpet about appealing his rating from 4.0 to 3.5, his explanation was “I just clicked a button dude” …….. “I’m only going to play 4.0 tournaments and leagues”. So, a week and a half, Tuffer is signed up as a 3.5 on Spencer’s team. Way to go Tuffer you big puss!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Anyone other than a true 3.0 trying to get some experience is a puss for playing in that Tri-Level. The 3.5ers and 4.0 guys should be playing in the real Tri-level.

    This is all very comical.

    ReplyDelete
  13. To 1:38pm

Since there is only 1 4.0 player signed up, he might be playing 4.0...Think about it dumbass anonymous.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Forget the fake tri-level and write a topic on the big dawg tri-level.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes, our 4.0 team is Me and Terry Leff,

I'm guessing Anon 1:38 PM was a rival 3.5 and very scared.

    BTW.
I think Cary need to appeal down to 3.5, if it wasn't for that pesky "B"

  16. Funny, I saw Leonard eat two double quarter pounders and a large bucket of fries DURING the five minute warmup before a match.

    ReplyDelete
  17. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    ReplyDelete
  18. lol. how could someone zzzzz that?

"I heard he is sponsored by Goodyear!"

"two double quarter pounders and a large bucket of fries DURING the five minute warmup before a match."

both of those were funny lines and in good taste.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I can't believe all the bashing that is done for this tri-level. First of all, not everyone is a 4.5 player and unfortunately, I do not have any players at that level that I know to build a team. That doesn't mean we don't like tennis and don't deserve to play. Secondly, our event is a round robin so we are getting 5 matches in regardless ---that ain't bad for the $33 registration fee.

In terms of who will take it...who knows. My team is not as deep as it seems as one of my 3.0s is injurred and a 3.5 player is out of town and won't be playing. (DTA makes out with 2 additional registration fees!!!)

Regarding my team being full of cheaters and con-artists??? C'mon - you can do better than that. Remember, I am a 2.5 player who should be playing 3.0 --- how is that cheating when I am playing 3.5 ???

It should be fun regardless and I look forward to drinking heavily Friday night on Rene Alzuro's bar tab. Want his membership numer??!!!

    kaiser

    ReplyDelete
  20. Because you are cheating a good player out of a quality match. Why don't you just stay home and think of more excuses why your team lost!!! You can alway post the piss poor excuses on monday. WHAT A LOSSER!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was practicing humility. We will see the results from the weekend and see whether or not it is a "quality match". As far as sitting at home - that's what anon losers like you do.

    kaiser

    ReplyDelete
  22. How do you even find 3.0 players? I would guess any recreational athlete who has never held a racket could beat a 3.0 guy.

I would guess a 3.0 is the guy on your company softball team that cracks the funny jokes and can down a pitcher of beer the fastest, but is quite overweight is your typical 3.0.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I wonder how this Fake Tri-Level got started? If the USTA wants to have this event, then provide a National competition _ just like the real Tri-Level. Then you will have more players and teams sign up.

The way it is now, any decent 3.5 or 4.0 wants to play in the real Tri-level. Strong 3.0 players just blow it off _ because they dont see strong players signing up.

Only rejects that no one wants on their team sign up for the Fake tri-Level.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Joel Pickett starting at 3.0 five years ago. He just started playing tennis like many others at that level and has worked his way up to a solid 4.5.

Just because someone is playing 3.0 or 3.5 tennis doesn't make them a non-athletic smuck.

    ReplyDelete
  25. There are alimited number of spots on the "real" tri-level teams. You must be either a very strong (almost out of level player) or know someone to be included on those teams. If you were recently bumped, you have to play at the new level and likely would not be invited to play the "real" tri-level. Half the teams are Lifetime/High Point the rest are Lakes, Garland/Northwood, Brookhaven so if you don't play there, chances are you weren't even considered.

    ReplyDelete
  26. At least there is a sectional for the lower tri-level. So they can crown the champion of the Toilet Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Could you play in both tri levels if you wanted?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Joel Pickett was easily a 4.0 player playing 3.0 five years ago. If they played for Bender, then they were out of level to start. Don't give us that Pickett was just learning crap. Tim Pewett played on that same team and he was a 4.5 at that time. Lance Lockhart is another. Kris Endress who is now at 4.5 is another and he is better than Pickett.

    ReplyDelete
  29. no - you cannot play in both tri-levels. just one or the other.

    ReplyDelete
  30. There are few good players who haven't played for Bender at one time. He is the Godfather of recruiting.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I've played for Bender and I can say it was a great time and he is simply the most organized individual I have ever met. He let me play for his team when I could barely walk and raise my arm over my head.(I was recovering from a total achilles tendon rupture, a 16 year tennis hiatus as well as shoulder surgery). He did not think I could help his team but he needed a warm body. Without Bender, my tennis hiatus would probably be re-self imposed. Fortunately, by meeting those teammates, I could keep playing and got countless friends as well as hitting partners.

I do not really know Joel Pickett but I know he had just recovered from having his kidney removed when he played for Bender. I am not sure if he just learned the game five years ago but I am sure losing a kidney counts for something. Even the meanest and most ruthless Anon would give some leeway for a person who just lost a kidney.

I get tired of folks ripping on Bob, becaue he has got more of us playing tennis than any other person in all of Dallas.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree. Bender is an incredible captain. If you have never played for him you just don't know how good the guy is at organizing and running a team. Some people whine about him simply because they are jealous of the success he has had.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kaiser is right. 5 matches INDOORS in January is well worth $33. Those who are bitchin' are probably sittin' while he is getting his game on.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wiley, well said and thanks for the nice comments. You are right that I had a kidney transplant and never played tennis when I met Bender. He suggested I give tennis a shot and I have been addicted ever since. Trust me anon, I was a true 3.0 player and yes Pewitt and Endress were much better than me.

  35. I think I am going to be sick!

    ReplyDelete
  36. bender observer - you ARE sick and have been for a very long time

    ReplyDelete
  37. Man up Bender observer. Post your name.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I was going to play for Bob, the satanic captain. But I just couldn't handle his 9:00am Sunday morning workout schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Is K-Mart in the 3.5 Brookhaven/Kraemer team picture? (Back row, far right)

    ReplyDelete
  40. I wonder if Bender knows he has his own personal stalker?

    ReplyDelete
  41. GOOD NEWS GUYS. I spoke with Bob in regard to having his own personal stalker. Bob informed me that not only was he was aware, but also it turned him on in a kinky kind of a way. I didn't ask too many questions.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Does Bender have a tri-level team?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Bill Kaisers team will definitely win the Fake Tri-Level. Nick Walton, Ken Vichyastit and Josh Roseman will easily win every 3.0 line. They will dominate. Kaisers 3.5 and 4.0 are not great but decent and just as good as the other teams in this watered down competition. Kaiser will win 3.0 every match and will also win either 3.5 or 4.0 every time.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I like the way the Tri-Level is set up. All the high-end 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 players play in the real Tr-Level competition. The weak 3.5 and 4.0 players (almost all rejects) get to play in the Fake Tri-Level. So one group is competitive while the other is more social (hit the ball and giggle) tennis. This way everyone is happy!

    ReplyDelete
  45. How is that shoulder healing?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Fake Tri-Level = Retard tri-Level

    ReplyDelete
  47. I don't like football. There is too much dog piling.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If the USTA wants to have two Tri-Level events they should treat both competitions the same.

Either provide a National Championship for both events or make both just Sectional competitions like the Comb Dbl.

Its dumb to have a step-child event that top players avoid playing in.

    ReplyDelete
  49. My guess is that they won't even mess with the hassles of handing out trophies to the winner. Who would display one on their fireplace mantel?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Any late team member additions that we can talk about?

    ReplyDelete
  51. My guess is that they are all at the beauty salon getting their nails and hair done-up and talking about which matching outfit to wear so they can look good for tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Amazing you guys that have time to bash an event, but probably don't make the time in the winter to actually go and play some real matches. Too bad this forum isn't used by the people who actaully enjoy the competition, and just want to shut up and play. I don't care if it's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0....whatever, it's competitive tennis. If you're not interested in the local talent, book your flight to Australia where the other pros are lacing them up.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Here is the bet,
    let's throw out the 3.0's and 4.5.

The 3.5 and 4.0 winner from this weekend
    vs
The 3.5 & 4.0 winner from next weekend

Think we can make it happen?

    ReplyDelete
  54. This topic has already been discussed in another thread. 3.0 really isn't competitive tennis. It's more about who wants to be seen in public. Kind of like the housewives that go shopping at Northpark Mall.

    ReplyDelete
  55. One's to watch:
    John Vacalis
    Noeh Romero
    Danny Man

    ReplyDelete
  56. The 3.5s and 4.0s in the Real Tri-Level (next weekend) are far superior to the 3.5 and 4.0 in the fake Tri-Level (this weekend).

mkaes no sense for them to play each other, just not competitive

    ReplyDelete
  57. good luck to all. have fun at the fake trilevel

    ReplyDelete
  58. looks like Kaisers team really got bent over this weekend with an 0-3 record at the fake tri-level

    ReplyDelete
  59. At least Kaiser is out there dumb ass. Which team were you on? Step up, I want to hear how great you are! Yellow spine, come to gtc tomorrow 2pm and I want to see how great of a tennis player you are!
    Sisk

    ReplyDelete
  60. do you show up as anon in the roster??? Explain why you aren't willing to sign your name when you bash others.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Which women's team are you on anon?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I guess the answer to Kaiser's question about having "quality" matches has been answered in a resounding way! As far as going to GTC to play? Why would anyone want to do that? Everyone already knows that the only people that play out there are cheaters, hookers or transvestites. Where is Eddie Hill's lifetime team in the tri-level? He has been mighty quiet since the fall playoffs... Anybody miss hearing from him?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Looks like Dwight Burts team is going to take the fake tri-level. They are 3-0 with 2 easy matches to go. David Spenser is 2-1.

Surprise Bazan 1-2 ! And of course Bill Kaiser took it up the shorts at 0-3.

Cant wait for the real tri-level event.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Kaiser's team finished middle of the pack, which wasn't that horrible given the slow start. This weekend may not have brought out many of the "top names" expected next weekend, but there was definitely talent that could compete with the inflated egos competing in the 3.5/4.0./4.5 event.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Don't get worked up. If you had fun this weekend, that is all that really matters. let the basher's bash.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Congrats to Dwight Burt and his team. Well done!!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Congrats to Burt for the solid win and thanks to all team captains for making this "fake" tri-level happen. I know it can be difficult getting enough "rejects" commited to play a tournament - but we had 3 days of solid tennis and you cannot complain about that. Beats the anons sitting on the couch eating popcorn and drinking beer.

In terms of competitive tennis, my team did have a slow start -- but of our losses, 3 were in 3rd set tie breaks and 2 had tie break sets. While our results were not what I personally was hoping for, we still gave it a go, and it was a good diversion from all the other B.S. in life we deal with on a day to day basis.

Good luck to those playing in the "real" tri-level next weekend. I am sure there will be more anons out there doing their fair share of bashing that.... of course that is all they are good for, because they are obviously not out there playing tennis.

Sisk - thanks for the kind words and support. You're not a fat ass....just a guy that likes to live life large!!

    kaiser

    ReplyDelete
  68. Bazan,

I want my vote back. I meant to vote DEAD LAST!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Sounds to me like Kaiser and Sisk are having a secret affair going on, are you guys finally coming "out"? With all of this kissing on the mouth going on with you guys its making the anons sound smart! Sounds to me like the GTC isnt the only place where they wear pink panty's.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Everyone knows Lifetime wears pink panties.

    ReplyDelete
  71. yeah...your wife's panties after banging her

    ReplyDelete
  72. Good come back Kaiser!
