4.5 Update - if we must

Image result for french open 2017
HOLY CRAP!  That thing from Alien looks a lot like Andy Murray.

4.5 flight A - Brookhaven/Harllee has jumped out to a commanding lead in this flight.  Mediocrity reigns supreme in this flight so no surprise with this result.  The boys from Brookhaven are 6-0 with their next closest pursuer mired at 3-3.

4.5 flight B - no surprise here either, as Springpark/Aguilar remains unbeaten.  We do have a couple of teams rising up a bit, with Oak Creek/Martin and High Point/Somabut tied at 4-2.  Interesting in this flight, Greenhill/Rossouw has 27 players on the roster and the team is 3-3 so far.  Losses to HP and OC have them in a bind at the mid-way mark.

4.5 flight C - also hitting the 20 roster mark but managing to keep up the wins thus far, Brookhaven/Bartlett leads this flight at 5-1.  Springpark/Khaing sits alone in second with a 3-2 mark but three teams are tied at 3-3 with four matches left so the door is still open.

4.5 flight D - JCC/Reiman has bounced back from its disappointing 40s season with a 5-0 mark in this flight.  Lakes/Way and Lifetime/Arcaria are a peg back both stuck in the two loss column.

Since these are round robins at 4.5 a lot can still swing for any team but they're going to have to make their moves quick as the season is drawing to a close fairly quickly.

  1. Look out for Raja's team as they are lurking in the weeds!

    1. He has the B team from last year's squad that couldn't win its flight, or cities or sectionals. Start the parade now.

  2. Well, they are giving their all! Gritty and determined! They may not win but at least they are fighting tooth and nail. Kelley has lost some gut wrenchers and Hyunh just barely losing all his. Tough luck they have had!

    Bad tennis. Barely above 3.5.

  5. Tony Le on his way down to 3.5. Next stop in 2020 on Bender's 3.0 team.

  6. Have no problem w Tony at 4.0. That's where he should be. There are no out of level 4.0's in Dallas. At 3.5 Le would lose against a singles ringer. At 3.0 he is a beast.

  7. Dallas 7.0 rolling at mixed sectionals!!! Keep it up guys!

  8. 7.0 lost. 8.0 lost. Mike K retired at 1-1. I wonder what the story is there. Was he hurt, was he tanking. Did he not want to go to Alabama?

And where was the captain? Alan A had 7.0 and 8.0 teams there, but he was absent. I bet if he was there Kelly doesn't lay down. I guess Zackary couldn't motivate him like AA can.

  9. Facts are just coming in but something happened down there to scare Kelley into retiring and he didn't have AA to cry to and bail him out. Word from NOHO capt is Kelley was told no more blowouts or he is out of USTA. He beat NOHO 6-0,6-0 and that was coming off 6-3,6-0 and 7-5,6-0. At one point winning 21 straight games. That's sick. Kelly has played 18 sets in cities and sectionals and 10 have been 6-0's. AA is the genius behind this fool and without Aa there Kelley scared to go to nationals. Kelly is ALANS bitch slave!

    2. Alan has now captained 32 total teams to sectionals. IMO he is the Captain of his generation! No one even a close second!

    3. 8.0 is too easy and I wouldn't waste a minute playing it.

  10. Not bitter. Just a waste of time to keep spending money on useless trips so I don't ever plan on playing mixed and never have or never will. And if I ever did I would toy with Kelley.

  12. Hey what about Hai and TQ losing to a couple of average 3.5's, at least guys if your going to try and lose at least play higher lines and make it look somewhat legit...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hai is a true 4.0 and Tq is a low 4.0 so really no surprises there

  14. Does Dallas have any legitimate teams this year or are they all just a bunch of tanking cesspools for next year?

    1. MK is The Godfather of mixed and The Godfather of tanking. He has single handidly changed the landscape of metroplex tennis. Something we won't see again in our lifetime.. the ironic thing about all this is the money he and Alan A have put in dta's pocket bec now everyone wants to be a mixed specialist and defeat the dynamics duo. Rather amazing story over the years and would make for a great book. Any ideas for a title please submit below:

  26. Tankers of the week go to Mike Kelly, Sam Huynh, Keith Clark, and Mike Zackary. Hon mention goes to A Gerber.

  27. Hey, I talked to my buddy at Tbar. He was absolutely confident mike k was trying so I think that was just a butt kicking tbar gave him. As far as Sam yes he yanked. Clark tanked. Zakary may have but he's out of shape so he is a 4.0 no matter what happens and Alan gerber has no chance to win at either level he plays so doesn't matter anyway. A majority of tankers have no interest in advancing so let it go. Other team should be happy with a win!!! I never understood why these people get mad when they win??????
