And the beat goes on

40 – 4.5 – at this point it looks like hockey, lots of matches but barely anyone eliminated.  A full seven teams are all sitting with one loss.  All I can really say at this point is that Greenhill/Ohl and TBar/Fikes are out of it.  Past that, everyone else still has a shot.

40 – 4.0 – flight A – much like 4.5 above, many teams still technically in the running.  The leaders at this point all have one loss and still have a lot of big matches left to play.  Springpark/Walters, Huffhines/Clark and Greenhill/Ohl have the advantage at this point with Springpark in the lead on lines won.

40 – 4.0 – flight B – things are a little clearer here with Oak Creek/Ramasami and Chandlers Landing/McLemore sitting atop the heap in the undefeated column.  Canyon Creek/Patterson lurks close behind with only one loss.

55 – 8.0 – still a four horse race at the moment.  Greenhill/Kayser sits alone and undefeated, with one loss Springpark/Blesi, TBar/Snow and Lifetime/Heflin in the wings.  I didn’t make Lifetime to be a contender at this level but let’s see how it all shakes out.

55 – 9.0 – looks like Oak Creek/Sweeney is in the driver’s seat here.  They have a one match lead at the moment but still need to beat second place Gleneagles/Juhn in the first round of a double round robin to secure the lead at the halfway mark.

Tri-level is two weeks away so I’ll try to sit down this week and have a closer look now that the flights are out.

  1. Wow...no comments. Let's see what I can start. Dallas wins Tri level without a match lost. Mike k goes undefeated. SpringPark wins and comes in second in 8.0.

    And begin.

  2. mike k makes a horrible call at 8-8 to help win a match, which in the end costs his team a trip to Indian Wells.

  3. How did it cost his team?

    1. SA retires matches advancing Noho to finals instead of attempting to win (to send Dallas).

  4. Not the end of the world, I told Freeman on Friday...we either defend our National title and have a great time,or save $$$. Hope Freeman keeps the title in Texas! Have a great time! Sisk

  5. Kelly is a cheater. He needs to retire from TX Tennis. I've never seen any one more hated.

  6. Kelly is probably the worst. Sisk is sooo in love with Kelly he doesn't see how bad Kelly is. You are telling me there isn't anyone better?!?!

How does Sisk not play Hunyh over Kelly?

    1. Was Kelly his problem, or his 4.0 line in 2 matches??

    2. Who plays Alan? He is a cheater too.

    3. Pretty sure Kelly was one of the problems. Everyone thinks Kelly is some God that is always undefeated. These 4.5 players are 3.5 women and that's where Kelly USED to see success, but can't even win at 8.0 mixed, let alone 4.5.

  7. Most of this just isn't true. San Antonio didn't screw Dallas. Dallas made its own mistakes. NOHO was 10 minutes away from completing a sweep of San Antonio when SA lost the only line it had any chance to win. The SA 4.5s were down a set and two breaks in the second. The SA 3.5s just got bageled in the second and were done. It was over.

    1. At least you're not denying Kelly cheated SA the day before.

SA won the first set at 3.5 and 4.0 and then got bageled in the second sets on both. Why? Because they knew that if they won that Dallas would advance and it was payback. They teased Dallas and then pulled the plug. Well played.

    2. Exactly right, SA's game results in the first sets: 16-11..after the first, 0-16.

  8. It really doesn't matter....Sisk should control his own destiny, not relying on another team to decide his fate. The flight numbers show the strength. If the new head to head rule wasn't in place, Dallas goes.

    1. Sisk let emotions get the best of him. Let's break this down.

      1) how does Kelly play when you have much better players? You have Davidson that is a lock with Huynh (didn't play) or Tuttle who was 2-0.

      2) how does Bloomberg not play but Alan does? Bloomberg is back to 4.5.

Sisk must have forgotten this isn't mixed. He yelled at our captain for putting put a bad lineup. Hmm...

You don't play your weapons, you will lose.

    2. And Kelly goes 0-2 if he wasn't a cheater and had some respect for the game. This incident has branded him and I am sure no team he is on will get any respect moving forward. He is an enigma.

    3. But you still have Sisk who loves him and will always have him on the team. Sisk needs to understand, people are going to start hooking Kelly and he is detrimental to any team. Look at San Antonio - are you telling me that other Mike guy didn't throw the tiebreaker? Kelly needs to go away or get suspended for being a tool

  10. I saw the matches. Dallas' 4.0 line against NOHO was the opportunity to advance, not the 4.5 line.

    1. But you played Alan? Sisk really loves the cheaters

    2. Alan went 0-2. Wouldn't call that cheating.

  11. Not sure about other instances, but I played Alan and I don't think there was even a questionable call.
