4.0 Week 8

So things are winding down now but things are still up in the air in most of the flights.

Flight A:
Greenhill has clinched a spot and has been in cruise control for a while now in this flight. Lakes had a good run going but a default hurt them this week as they fell to Eldorado. This one surprised me especially after I saw Enrique lost his match. This week they have DCC who is no pushover although their lineups have been much better when they play at home and this match is at the Lakes. TBar M looks to be cruising along and improving and will just have to wait and see if they can catch the Lakes on tiebreaks and become fans of DCC this weekend.

Flight B:
Big match isn't until 11/14 between JCC and Fretz for 2nd place but JCC still has a makeup match to play as well as Eldorado this weekend so they still need to take care of biz or Fretz can punch their ticket.

Flight C:
Same story here just waiting on 11/14 for the 2nd place matchup between Canyon Creek and the Village. But yet again Canyon Creek has to win this weekend or that matchup will mean nothing.

Flight D:
Thank god for this flight otherwise we could just shut the 4.0 talk down completely. Ok I have to admit I posted LTF v. HP as an MOW and now I see the score from LTF that they lost to the Village, OMG. Not sure how that happened but I will leave it up just to see the landslide voting. II guess if Bob sits the big guns this match could be interesting. The more interesting matchup will be Garland v. OC. OC is coming off a great win so hopefully there is no letdown or they will fall right back into the pack again. Next week looks great as OC takes on Brookhaven.

  2. Lakes down the stretch...The eldorado loss is a throw away. They forfeit on one line and one of their singles players completely throws his shoulder out during the match..and their best two singles players not even in the lineup....

    ReplyDelete
  3. other teams have exactly the same problems every match that's being played... such as you are out of your best players, some are injured, some are sick, and so forth. Lakes, you are not the only ones facing those problems. The key is to win regardless...

  4. 2009 was the best year ever for Texas league teams. Texas results at Nationals:
    Mens 5.0 Houston 2nd place
Mens 4.5 Houston 2-1 in RR
    Mens 4.0 DALLAS 3rd Place
    Mens 3.5 Austin 2nd Place
    Mens 3.0 DALLAS 1-2 RR

While Senior league is not really tennis, for you ancient players:
Mens SR 4.5 San Antonio 4th Place
Mens SR 4.0 FTW 1st Place
Mens SR 3.5 Austin 2-2 RR
Mens SR 3.0 DALLAS 1st Place

    GO TEXAS!

  5. Lakes are crybabies.

  6. Eldorado played good tennis this past weekend and deserved to win. The two guys I played were classy guys and good tennis players. I have no excuse for my third set tie breaker loss other than they played better tennis than I did.

They're a good group of guys up there and they earned my respect and now I'll readily admit we have much to prove, here at the Lakes, in the next couple of weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Can Huffines win a 4.0 match? Wow what a bunch of losers! You guys are wasting real players time.

    ReplyDelete
  8. if they wanted it to, they (huffines) could win a match. they dont want to. They are working hard to tank and get back to 3.5 tennis. It's obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  9. u r right. prather is a scumbag. he has lost 4 matches by lopsided scores aga teams only fair. haley is another scumbag on that team who is obviously throwing matches on purpose. those pricks like beating up on inferior players rather than playing a competitive match at their own level.

    ReplyDelete
  10. ya - congrats to all the tx teams that did so well at nats. way to bring back the hardware!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Most of those guys are 3.5 bump ups on Huffhines team. You would expect them to struggle. How many players do well when they get bumped up? How many actually can win at the next level? It takes time.

Of the 3.5 bumpups, who is doing well-not many? Chris Jones has won his matches; Keith Clark has won all but one match; Greg Wiley won his only match played; Wade Varner is 1 and 1; Oleg Yaremenko is 0 & 3; Larry Reitzer is 1 & 2; Yuan Chen is 4 & 2; Terry Foy is 0 & 4; Alan Gerber is 0 & 1, Stephen Bennet i s 0 & 3; Shawn Arcaria is 1 & 3 and Marc Klamecki is 4 & 1.

This tells me that only a few are ready to be moved up or there are an awful lot of tankers.

    ReplyDelete
  12. PRATHER AND HALEY ARE TANKING FOR SURE. THEY ARE BOTH DAM GOOD PLAYERS WHO ARE NOT TRYING.

    ReplyDelete
  13. 9:36 a.m.; You are only looking at league play, and some of those matches that were lost were damn close. You also have to consider the competition. Some of those guys have also played tournies at the higher levels and have done fairly well.

  15. Huffine players are a bunch of losers. Tanking to get back to 3.5. It is not fair to the realy players who are 3.5 and not fair to 4.0 players who want a good match. If you look at Prathers record he has lost every match at least 6-1 in a set. He is a better player than that. We all know that. Who is he really trying to kid.

    ReplyDelete
  16. both prather and haley are scumbags tanking to get back to 3.5. no question about it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I know i am breaking my rule about talking to anons but I know David and I some of the guys on that team and the truth is they just do not stack up to the competition in that flight which is stacked full of good players. If they were in our flight I have a feeling their match results would look different.

David is about even with me on playing ability and I think I would be taking a beating in that flight as well, heck I have two bad losses as it is and I guarantee I am not tanking.

If you want to talk about tankers it was last season with the team from collin county, that was so obvious it was almost digusting.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Prathers and Haley are both a whole lot better than their scores.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hmmm . . . its OK to tank if you are friends with Bazan.

    ReplyDelete
  20. All -

At the end of the day, Prather and company are tanking! They want to get bumped back down to the 3.5 level. If you don’t believe me …just attend one of their matches and watch them. They’re a bunch of goofballs.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Next week looks great as OC takes on Brookhaven.

What? Do you have shit from brains? You really need to do some homework.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sisk you guys look like the team to beat man. I hope we meet you guys at the very end. Good luck in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  23. HELLO ?

MOST top players manage their scores and sometimes intentionally lose a meaningless match _ in order to maintain their NTRP rating. That's how the system works. Somabut's guys have been doing it for years.

Players that get totally clobbered at a particular level tank enough matches to get back down to a level where they can compete and have some fun. This is particularly true for old guys that see their skills eroding every year.

So Bazan, just shut the f___ up!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anon Nov 3 8:18pm,

Perhaps you'd like to explain your abusive post? Or is your IQ equal to your NTRP rating and you need this explained to you? If you do your research you will note that OC and BHaven are in the first 2 positions in flight D. This week BHaven has a bye and OC takes on Garland (see MOW poll). Assuming OC beats Garland this weekend then NEXT week OC plays BHaven for first place. The loser likely falls into a tie with Somabut and risks missing the play-offs.

So Cary's comment is 100% accurate. If you don't have anything useful to add to the blog why don't you STFU!

(I am sure you will respond to this with an abusive and unsubstantiated and ill informed rant. Please don't disappoint me. I enjoy laughing at idiots!)

    ReplyDelete
  25. yes I am defending David but I don't even know the other guy in question but I wouldn't consider David and I weekend party buddies, I haven't talked or seen him in 6 months.

The point is show me some results that look questionable and then we can talk when I saw your post I was curious so I looked up his results and I just didn't see anything.

From what I can see from Haley he has had close matches with some good players like BH's Moore/Smith who I believe have dominated everyone this season. Shaw/Burton and Ho/Shahab. These guys are good and they have lost some 7-5 sets to them, so I am not sure how that is tanking. The one bad results David has was playing with a 3.5 against Josue and Shawn, could be questionable but Josue is very strong and if I am not mistaken Shawn dominated at 3.5 for the most part so really not that bad of a result.

I wonder if this anon isn't from taht CC Spring team that was a joke.

    ReplyDelete
  26. To Nov. 3, 9:36 of all of the bump ups you mentioned the only ones that really belong at 4.0 are Yarmenko, Jones, Varner and Klemecki. The rest of those guys are good 3.5s but well below average at 4.0 and trust me it won't matter if its there first season or the 3rd season at 4.0 they just cant compete at the 4.0 level.

As far as Huffines... well there is no doubt that Prather is a known tanker and will do whatever it takes for him and Haley to get back down to 3.5 that's just the facts man!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I only know 1 guy on the CC team and that's Bob Northcut. Bob must be nearly 80 yrs old and has significant hearts problems. He can barely walk. If you think he was tanking you are wrong.

Dave Prather is a better than average 4.0 player who is losing all his matches (many lopsided) on purpose. Prather was the #1 ranked 3.5 player in Texas last year.

Cary, get your head out of your ass. Prather is the most obvious case of tanking in Dallas leagues.

    - Stonebridge 4.0 Player

    ReplyDelete
  28. collin was a collection of very weak players. an "allstar" scub team including some of the worst 4.0 players in dallas. most of them simply cannot compete at the 4.0 level. they knew they would get killed but played for the hell of it.

If you are a strong 4.0 player it is not much fun playing them. Kinda like when Cary plays 4.5 _ that's pathetic competition for a real 4.5 player.

prather & haley are both better than avg 4.0 players who are dominant at 3.5. Both Prather & Haley are trophy-hunters who are are tanking matches to get bumped down.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I DONT NO ABOUT TANKING BUT I NO ROSSOUW IS NOT THE BRIGHTEST CRAYON IN THE BOX.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Bazan playing 4.5. Now that's disgusting.

    ReplyDelete
  31. My vote is we change the subject. If everything you all are saying is true then file a complaint via the proper channels.

As for Marc Rossouw, have any of guys that are throwing such strong insults ever met him? I played a great match against him a couple of weeks ago and lost 11-9 in a third set tie breaker which consequently gave Greenhill the win over us. He was not arrogant, was not an ass and in fact he was just the opposite. Very gracious in his win and a great sportsman during the match.

Shouldn't people be allowed to disagree without being insulted?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Josue very strong? Bazan do you even know these players when you talk about them. Josue is an average 4.0. Josue and Shawn are an average 4.0 team and the score was ugly. They are tanking!

    ReplyDelete
  33. No way any of those guys are tanking. Flight D is a touch match every week and alot of these guys are playing line 1 or 2. I think they would all agree that being a big fish at 3.5/4.0 is alot more fun than a small fish a 4.0/4.5. If any of these guys are bumped down I am sure the good captains will be after them.

I have a feeling that there will not be many bump downs as seasons end though.

    ReplyDelete
  34. BAZAN IS A HYPOCRITE
I seem to remember in 2007 he had one of the strongest 3.5 Dallas teams ever - just loaded with ringers like Kyle Bowman, Trae Bowman, Ed Hensen, etc. Bazan brought these ringers onto his 3.5 team knowing they were WAY out of level.

Who is he to critize Collin County? Most of those guys got beat bad because they stink not because they were tanking. And if 1 or 2 did tank so what?

Which is worse an old guy or two tanking to get back to his appropriate level or an unethical captain loading his team with ringers??

    ReplyDelete
  35. Rossouw has posted obnxious comments on the blog many times. Just shows what type of an ass he is.

I dont know his problem but I'm sure it is hard to spell.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm new to all of this ranking stuff. I'm picking tennis up again afer being away from the game a long time. The whole rating system is new to me. I'm comfortable in 4.0... winning 10 of 13 matches ovre the past 6 months and all at 4.0 level. Am i in danger of getting "bumped"? How do you know? Is there some kind of formula? I would not "tank" a match but at the same time i might ask my captain to play me on line #1 more oftern etc...What advice does anyone have?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Winning 10 of 13 matches means you should be playing 4.5, unless you want to be what's called a ringer or sandbagger; according to the obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  38. mitchell u dont no rossouw very well.

rossouw would argue with a sign post.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Just by winning 10 of 13 does not mean you should be playing 4.5. Are you serious anon 12:53pm? Just because you win doesn't mean you should move up. If a good portion of your margin of victories are 1 and 2 or worse, then possibly. Otherwise, you are a middle to high end player that currently wins at your level.
If you have either beaten or forced a 3rd set breaker with a top notch 4.0 during a usta match that was recently bumped up mid season, then possibly. Look at the records of the guys you beat and you will know if they are top notch or not.

    ReplyDelete
  40. If Bazan beat Prather, than no way is Prather an average 4.0. Bazan is a below average 4.0.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I've seen Prather play many times. He is an average or better 4.0 player. I don't care if the guy is tanking or not. But his record does seem to be unually poor considering the game he has.

Collin County _ I don't know the players but I think they, mostly suck. If a couple of those guys tanked _ that's fine by me! They are probably 3.5 players anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I AGREE THAT CARY SHOULD NOT BE RAGGING ON OTHERS FOR POSSIBLY TANKING. HE HAS BROUGHT ON A SANDBAGGER OR TWO AND HAS PROTECTED THEM FROM DQ.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Prather, you officially have my vote. if you can barely beat Cary, then you are definitely a 3.5. No one that has seen Cary play would consider him a 4.0 player.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree with Mitchell, let's change the topic. Can we talk about the contending teams? The current 4.5 thread doesn't have the insults and includes good anlysis and opinions ie guys are not being crucified for having a different opinion. It would be nice if we could have a similar discussion here.

Maybe I am at fault for inciting the Anons (although I suspect it's only 1) and should go back to ignoring them but please note that my only motivation was to call out unfair and unsubstantiated insults that do not add anything to the discussions in the (I now realize) vain hope of cleaning up the discussion.

The tanking discussion is also pointless, it will just go around in circles. Score management happens, especially in the fall. We have to deal with it.

Mitchell, how is Corey's shoulder? Hopefully he will be fit for the play-offs. Despite the Eldorado result (it's always tough to get guys to go up there) I agree that you guys should not be taken lightly.

In the hope of starting a sensible discussion I'd like to suggest the power rankings that someone posted on a previous thread:

    1. Garland/ Sisk
    2. Oak Creek
    3. HP/ Somabut
    4. BHaven/ Perlman
    5. Greenhill
    6. BHaven/ Bartlett
    7. Lakes
    8. Village/ Canyon Creek
    9. Fretz/ JCC

My thoughts are: I hope we are better than 5th when it's all said and done. Somabut are as high as 3rd when Weymer plays but without him they drop down a little. I also think BH/ Bartlett are better than 6th but not sure who you drop down. It's going to be an interesting play-off weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hey there Mr. "Spellcheck" oh I maean Rossouw you are starting to get a reputation like E. Hill as a pompus ass, do you really want that?

    ReplyDelete
  46. It would be nice to have this blog without insults and shit like that! Stop ragging on each other!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Rossouw is so annoying!!!!!!!!!!! Now that the guy has a team in contention that is all he wants to talk about. Where were you in the spring? Give it a break!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Rossouw is right about intelligent comments. 4.5 thread is generating that. Seems there are just some people who love to hate on either Roussow, Lifetime, HP or whomever instead of providing insightful comments.
Hater is probably the same guy who was always ragging Eddie. Funny how Eddie and team move to a new thread and now Rossouw becomes the target.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Rossouw makes himself the target you idiot. Previously poster is exactly right, where was Rossouw when his team was average at best. Guys like him and Fraser just need to shut the hell up or post as anons.

    ReplyDelete
  50. With all the bump ups to 4.5, Rossouw thinks he is now the king of 4.0 tennis. What a joke!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think he might be a king... He probably got the most underrated team right now. I won't be surprised if his team upsets the overrated garland in the playoffs. Andy will choke again. Marc just beat Zach Courtney. Then, Marc's doubles are very strong. This is GH strength. So, I think he might be a king. He is quietly lurking out there waiting to take down the big tuna - Sisk... haha.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Bob will win the fall like always.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Anon 1:01-

We are overrated, I just hope to win a line in each match. Where does Defeo fit in your calculation? Perhaps you can play Andy and show how easily you can beat him.

All teams are on equal playing field in the post--

    Big Tuna lol..... good stuff

    Sisk

  55. Bubba Gump Prather – Thank you for clearing the air and setting everyone straight! I was starting to get a little worried about you. I’m still very concern about old Grandpa. He needs to take a breather every now and then. Good luck this coming spring at the 3.5 level. You should do well!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Tanking to get back to 3.5 is like trying to be king of the dumbasses. Give up on 3.5 and try moving up. Please. 3.5 is a joke with the average age of 55 years old.

Come on Huffines! You are better than that. Put some effort in winning.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I agree!

Prather and company - put at least a little effort into your game and what your doing on the court!

    ReplyDelete
  58. For those getting bumped down to 3.5, i think you are going to be disappointed with the level of play at that level now. Its not going to be fun. its going to be a lot of players beating themselves. Not what it used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  59. True, there is not a single good 3.5 player left. Of course, by its very definition, 3.5 is not very good. I think the computer has done a pretty good job of moving people to where they belong.

    ReplyDelete
  60. sisk is tanking to get back to 3.5. he is one of those scumbags

    ReplyDelete
  61. Actually, Sisk has not played a single match this fall so it is a bit difficult to tell if he is tanking.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Maybe he was talking about his weight?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sisk is not tanking, he is a tank!!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. AGREE WITH COMMENTS ABOUT ROSSOUW. I THINK THE ALIENS FORGOT TO REMOVE HIS RECTAL PROBE

    ReplyDelete
  65. Is it me, or does Rossouw have a really big head? I think that head might be 9 3/4!

OC wins setting up the showdown nest week for a playoff spot for Bartlett or not............depending on Bob's scores??????

    ReplyDelete
  69. Oak Creek wins today 4-1. HP/Bob wins 5-0 against Lifetime.

    ReplyDelete
  70. HP/Bob will need help from Oak Creek 1/BH - Bartlett to make it to the playoffs.

Either a BH loss, or a BH 4-1 win over OC1 will put HP in the playoff (assuming they win all 5 lines next week).

    ReplyDelete
  71. Brookhaven's (Pearlman) Team really kicked some ass on Saturday. They put down the Lakes (Jobe), 5 - 0,

    ReplyDelete
  72. And all that against what seems like a mostly 3.5 bump up Lakes team... Are you really serious with your gloating?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Wow!! I thought this blog was getting better based on my 4.5 thread but then I opened this one. Mark, I know as well as anybody that arguing with anons is pointless, but I can relate to your frustration.
As for the overwhelming theme of this thread, tanking can never be proven unless there is a confession from the offending player (I happen to know a few guilty parties). Otherwise, it is all speculation and everybody has circumstances that make them play at a certain level each and every week, including family, work, stress, injuries, etc. And let us not forget the most obvious point that styles make matchups. Everybody can think of a situation where player A beats player B, player B beats player C, yet player A loses to player C.

  77. Just one man's opinion but LTF has just average doubles players and below average singles players and with that combo its tough to be competitive.

    ReplyDelete
  78. looks like they are getting everyone playing time now for LTF. Josue did a good job of playing against Jimmy Fenn. Close match. Gerber made a nice comeback after a bagel first set. Arcaria & Bennett are still struggling at 4.0. Interesting to see what bump downs happen for the spring.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I would like to hear peoples thoughts on the mid year bump ups in 4.0, who is failing and who is doing well!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Speaking of 4.0 bump ups. Hill and Myers from LTF are playing in the Best of Best Tournament this weekend in Austin. Top 8 4.0's in the state. Looks like they could meet in Final. Both have won 2 Major Zones this year.

I think there are many local guys in Doubles and other levels. Cary should do a write up.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Let's see, first Eddie posts anonymously that the LTF 4.0 misses him and now he states that he is playing the best of the best this weekend. Way to try and toot your own horn. Get over yourself!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Took me a little bit to get used to that guy but he came up with some solid serves in the 3rd set tie break to win it 10-8. Too bad Mens league doesn't play a full third set the way it should be.

    Gerber

    ReplyDelete
  83. Ya let's get a thread about Eddie and Myers stroking eachother this weekend. You wonder why LTF gets a bad rap! What an ego!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Who wins the playoff match between JCC & Fretz?

    ReplyDelete
  85. The USTA will never go to a full 3rd set in adult league. They would lose too much revenue with all the fat asses either not signing up or croaking during matches in the summer. Maybe they should have two leagues, Mens - full 3rd set or Geritol - 3rd set tie break.

    ReplyDelete
  86. How do I continue to get pulled into these conversations. Wasn't me with Top 8 tournament talk, although I do think it would be cool to put up a thread on it that Brandon or I could post to this weekend. There is not much going on this week here anyhow. Would be cool if the only 2 dallas 4.0 guys made the final.

I am very proud to have qualified for this. With all the injuries Brandon and I have had over past year, I think we are both proud. I made it 2 years ago at 3.5 and had a great time. good luck to all dallas participants.

    Eddie

    ReplyDelete
  87. For the Masters tourney, there are actually 2 in 4.5 singles, 2 in 4.0 singles, 6 in 4.0 doubles, and a few 3.5 all from the Dallas area. I believe the 4.5 players are from CoreDawg's team.
Cary or Corey could do a decent thread here. Houston has one.

    ReplyDelete
  88. The Mens league in Dallas used to play a full 3 sets. However, the DTA held a "vote" and rigged the results. Women & seniors & super seniors were all thrown together and the DTA "claims" this vote favored the 3rd set tiebreak. This was highly misleading & unethical.

Real situation, most guys want to play a full 3 sets. The DTA changed because of pressure from the Texas Section and the National USTA. The leaders at the DTA simply lie to you about this issue.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I agree with Cory, that tanking can never be proven. So those types of charges are useless and only stir up trouble. Why bother guys? It does no good anyway.

I know Rossouw and he is not a bad guy. But Rossouw is somewhat of a "know it all" and can be abrasive. That's why guys rag on him.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Who really has a shot of beating Sisk in the playoffs?

    1) Bartlett
    2)Greenhill
    3) Somabut
    4) Oak Creek

    That's it folks.

Bartlett has all facets (dubs and sings), Greenhill doubles, Somabut all facets / no depth / proven captain, Oak Creek all facets.

The problem is that either Bob or Bartlett is going packing after this weekend. Too many good teams in that flight.

    ReplyDelete

  92. I'm not sure you can call Oleg epic fail,
He's ranked 25th in 4.0 singles and has some good wins.

  93. Bennett and Arcaria are soooo Epic Fail,
So cocky in the spring, got put in their place in the play-offs, and have been in a downward spiral ever since.

  94. Gerber has played twice in league play, once in singles. Lost in a third set tie break to a recent 4.5 bumpdown. He is .500 in two tournies. Not qualified for an epic fail. 6:25 a.m. is a complete moron and his time wasted on research is useless.

  95. Oleg is solid but I think it shows all those crazies from the Spring that him playing 3.5 was not insane. If he had dominated at 4.0 and not dropped a set I could see how that made sense but he hasn't and this is just fall league. Nelson is an average 4.0. Fankhauser is above average. Caras is average as well.

So seems like Oleg is a mid range 4.0 as well, no shame in that or fail either.

  96. Fankhauser is a very above average 4.0 not just average. He will probably be a 4.5 after the end of season ratings come out. Fankhauser is very good and probably shold never have been in 4.0 to start. Actually, I am shocked that Oleg got a set unless Matt went to sleep after easily winning the first set.

  97. You see a lot of that, one set won badly and then a "collapse". More than likely a tank job to protect ratings, split sets are a pretty meaningless indicator of play level.

  98. I think the extensive research guy did a good job.

    ReplyDelete
  99. You must be on the failed list! Dont be so angry!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Not on the list at all, I just think his research is bogus.

  101. You can't go on record alone. I've seen a few of those guys play and they were extremely competitive. So just because they've lost a match or two doesn't mean much. Some of those guys that won in league play either had solid partners or weak opposition.

    ReplyDelete
  102. And further to that, I know a bunch of players on that bottom list that could easily beat a few players you consider winners.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I agree it's a little extreme to call the top list "winners" and bottom list "epic fails" given that many variables could've resulted the winning/losing records. That was obviously based on records alone and no one has seen all those guys play.

That said, I'd like to see the names of "bunch of players" on that bottom list that can "easily" beat the few on the winners list. And I'd expect that you've seen all of them play.

  104. Hell, everybody on that list is a winner if they join the Ft.Worth League. FT.Worth 4.0= 3.0 Dallas. Look at Klamecki's record when he played 4.0 in Dallas. 2-11

  105. Ouch. Point proven.

  106. I'm still trying to figure out who player a, b and c are from that poster of 11/8/09 @ 5:20pm. Forgive me, I'm new to tennis and the blog.

  107. It's just like the big Tuna (Parcells not Sisk) says, "you are what your record says you are"! End of discussion, all of you can "spin" it how ever you want to but what is your record?

    ReplyDelete
  108. 16-2 is my record in 4.5/4.0 in Dallas which equals Open in Ft.Worth.

  109. The big Tuna (Parcells or Sisk) is a fat useless heart attack waiting to happen.

  110. You have to go on record. At the end of the year if you have a receiver that catches 1,000 yards for the year, its not "qualified"
