So attention weather.com and amateur weather forecasters let us know what you think about the prospects of tennis in San Antonio this weekend. Doesn't look good and supposedly the tourney directors will let players know by 10 AM today which sounds like a good idea.
Seems like the Saturday leagues have a chance of getting matches in but Sunday looks to be a question mark.
We will just have to wait and see.
Tournament Update - RESCHEDULED
ReplyDeleteDue to Hurricane Ike we are rescheduling Texas Adult Sectionals to Oct. 10 - 12. Tournament entries remain closed. Since the tournament has been rescheduled there will be no refunds. Please let us know, as soon as possible, via email if you need to withdraw. When possible, draws will remain as posted, but may be changed, if necessary, due to withdrawals and site availability. Points for this tournament will still count towards The Masters.
Looks like its official! If the rain holds out, it will be a big weekend in Dallas League Tennis! All the aggression and preparation for Sectionals will surface in some hard played matches - weather permitting. See ya on the courts!
ReplyDeleteThanks Trae.
ReplyDeleteTrae, check weather.com.
ReplyDeleteThe only tennis you will be playing is on the Nintendo Wii.
No way Sunday league gets played. Saturday league might sneak in.
ReplyDeletewill there still be free beer in san antonio this friday night?
ReplyDeleteForget the Wii, my 6yr old son is like Federer on Wii Sports Tennis but I can tear his little butt up in PONG! Gotta go old school on this new generation of gamers!
ReplyDeletemaybe I just and idealist but I know how N. Texas weather can be and it could be pouring down rain all day and night Sunday or it could be dry as a bone. I am still holding onto hope. I think our best chance is a break in the storms for a few hours so we can sneak in the match.
ReplyDeleteWe will see
Trae,

ReplyDeletejeez, take a weekend off, your sub 3.5 strokes will not rust over
ReplyDeleteIke is the same size of Texas right now. Wow
ReplyDeleteBetter not introduce Ike to Cary's wife.
ReplyDeleteI think Ike won this war.
ReplyDeleteHi guys check out the new houston blog site and tell me what you think is still under contruction. http://houstonleaguetennis.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI think that for Houston site, it needs words on the page, and I am too lazy to actually pick out a subscriber name to post, so I got a feeling you will never see posts at all.
ReplyDeleteactually, looks like you anonymous haters get a chance to see what a blog works like without anon posters. Won't see too much traffic or posts I think
ReplyDeleteThe strong will survive but the Anons will inherit the earth.
ReplyDeleteTo Bmo
ReplyDeleteYour right about being lazy to post a comment so I change it so all you anonymous blogers can blog, feel free to post anything ..
I thought there were already two blogs in Houston, one for tournaments and one for league. Is this a third one or a revamped version?
ReplyDeleteYou can say the third one if you want i just think we need more people to get involve in houston blog sites..
