Match Point
Once again I would like to thank everyone who has signed up for the challenge ladder and everyone who participated in the Blog Tournament.
The goal of the tournament was to try to get some players together who would not normally play and develop some friendships and camaraderie plus get practice in.
We were successful at that.
Special thanks to anyone who played a match in the tournament, A super special double strong thanks to Corey and Brandon for seeing this through all the way until the end.

Hey Boy, you'ra looking mighty fine in that dress!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I laughed out loud when I saw that last picture. I'm looking forward to the next tournament.
ReplyDeleteHey, I need another lady for our TCD team, can you play add court and line 4?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Corey, you are are a good man!!
ReplyDeleteThat was FUNNY! Great job Marc!
ReplyDeleteGreat playing Corey. Nice work OC BL on the breakdown.
ReplyDeleteI watched some Davis Cup this weeekend. Argentina v. Russia. I really think Noel and Davydenko look a lot alike. Are they the same people. I've never seen the two in the same place.
ReplyDeleteThey definitely play at the same level. :) Also, not that surprising to see somebody off the ATP tour at 4.5 right?
ReplyDeleteCorey,
ReplyDeleteNice playing on Saturday. I'm fairly certain, the score was 1 and 4 (not 3). (when you lose, every game seems to count and I'm trying to hold some dignity here....) But what the heck, it's a loss. Anyway, enjoyed meeting you and also great touch on those drop shots.
Brandon
Also, thanks Marc for organizing this and for being 1 1/2 of the 3 1/2 fan base that showed up to watch the match.
ReplyDeleteCould have been. I'm usually pretty good with score but I can't remember the last game now. I was thinking I was serving at 5-3 but maybe not. Nonetheless, thanks for playing and I hope we do it again.
ReplyDeleteI thought it as 6-4,
ReplyDeleteBut Corey said 6-3 and I figured he would know better that I would.
I will change it since it is 2 against 1,
On the ladder each game you win give you a edge in the rankings.
Yep, you were serving to close out the set, but at 5-4. To verify, just always remember who started serving first. Since you started serving the match, you serve when Total games played are even and I served when the total is odd.
ReplyDeleteGood deal. I will call you to play again sometime.
Brandon
I rememeber hearing the callout, cause I was thinking Brandon could make a match of it if he broke.
ReplyDeleteDirty Garland strikes again... Even changing scores when they win to make themselves look better.
ReplyDeleteRacer X, have you seen the cover of the new Tennis Magazine. I have to admit that really looks like me in that picture. I had never really noticed any similarity before you said it.
