Put your petty differences aside and get out and root for some DALLAS
7am ?!?!?! Ouch...especially at LB Houston, I'm pretty sure that there's no Starbucks over there.
But seriously we are blessed to have the sectionalS in ouR backyard almost every year.
That's a huge home field advantage.
And I have it on good authority that Sisk has already lined up the cocaine and hookers to send over to Abilene's, Corpus', SETX's, and Austin's hotel rooms. That's how Durty does it!
Good luck to all.
It doesn't matter how you slice it. Huffines kind of sucks. You know with Noel being over there, I'm sure you can understand it.
ReplyDeleteMarc,
ReplyDeleteThats a pretty good thread considering you must have been hiding back your tears. You had two (2) chances this year and you blew them both. HOW SAD.
The Hammer just came down on Terry Wickman and Garland He has been DQ'd officially today!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Late night tennis man,
ReplyDeleteNo tears, I did all I could.
I left it all on the court.
So I can go forward with that,
Who wants to play at 7am on a Friday anyway.
Cory works at Fair Oaks I believe.
ReplyDeleteU would. I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteHey Marc
ReplyDelete1) Thank you for doing such a first class job with the blog. We all appreciate it.
2) You played fantastic, gutsy tennis going 4-0 at the QT and 4-0 at the DCC. Awesome job against the city's best 3.5 players!
- HP Guy
Since we have to put out the obvious for some on the blog, very tongue and cheek funny. "who wants to play at 7 am on a Friday anyway"
ReplyDeleteLooks like Wickman is an official DQ. If you click on his name on the roster, there are now DQs by his name.
ReplyDeleteI got that cheater DQed and I'm proud of it. Oleg DQ is coming as well, hang tight. It's time to clean up tennis and take out the garbage. Since players like those two are not embarrassed to be playing down, I'll snipe them myself.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a nice little article coming out in the USTA mag next month on the Dirty captains and what they do to win. You all know what two will be featured in 3.5, with an honorable mention to the father of it all in 3.0.
Kaiser
Marc, you did a great job winning your matches but didn't get to play either one of Huffhines singles ringers. I guess Kaiser knew you would lose to them so I guess your wins were not that great. A lot of 3rd set tie-breakers.
ReplyDeleteKaiser was too busy filing grievances to analyze a lineup.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to both Huffwines and Durty Garland this weekend! I dont agree with how they do it but they are still representing Dallas, so like the parent who is ashamed of his kid I still have to pull for them.
ReplyDelete-Lifetime guy
1p on Saturday, the infamous Mike Getz will take on Garland. Gotta see that one. I will try and make it out.
ReplyDeleteOf course I researched this opinion in 10 minutes but the Garland flight seems tougher, Austin and CC look pretty solid and SETX is no pushover. The Huffhines flight seems a little softer although if there is no Oleg I wonder if they have a shot at all. Molina will need to step up and win some singles, which I know he can.
ReplyDeleteOleg is tournament rated, and tries to play up and is just very average at it. That would just make him better than most, but not out of level.
ReplyDeleteIt is not his fault he was tournament rated.
Why would we call Tosha? I think most have better things to do.
ReplyDeleteWhysdoes anyone think Oleg has been DQ'd?
ReplyDeleteIf you mis-rate and lie on your self-rate shouldn't the penalty be stiffer?
ReplyDeleteIt's one thin if you self-rate truthfully and get bumped because your too good,
But if you intentionally lie like in this case shouldn't something else happen?
Once you generate any rating other than a "S" (self-rating) you can't be DQ'd or penalized for originally providing misleading information as part of your initial self-rating.
ReplyDeleteOleg is perfectly safe. Plus, he's not a 3.5 ringer anyway. Just wait til you see some of these guys coming from outside of Dallas.
I think he was talking about Wickman, not Oleg.
ReplyDeleteNo, I was talking about Oleg
ReplyDeleteNETX has a former college player on their team, so does San Antonio. They have no blog to go on the DQ witch hunt though, so no one ever gets them DQ'd.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't make a phone call to Tosha but you will surf and post on a blog. Hmmmm
ReplyDeleteyep. I don't have to look up the phone number to call her, and why would I want call Tosha about it? Would you really want 50 people to call you over the same thing?
ReplyDeleteNow that they updated the website, it is official. Meaning it probably wasn't before.
It's kind of funny how the Wickman decision was not made official until after the season and cities. Had he been DQ'd before the end of the season or immediately after, Garland possibly would not make it to cities. Then someone else would be going to sectionals instead.
ReplyDeletewickman didnt play in the cities GTC won without him. so they prob would of won their flight without him also.
ReplyDeleteSo all you tattle tales why dont you squeal on the out of town guys cheaters? Or is it you only squeal if it benefits you?
ReplyDeletei'm sorry but being a former college player doesnt mean you our out of level. I played in college (albeit barely) for division 1 school, but after knee surgeries, poor conditioning and taking 10 years off, I came back and am not that much to worry about on the tennis court anymore. Now with that said, I did self-rate a 4.5 and let the natural effect happen and my ability bumped me down after a year or so. I think most of us, wish people would be more upfront on where they should be playing as opposed to playing the rating game.
ReplyDeleteI just looked at the standings and had Wickman been DQ'd earlier, they still win their flight and cities.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have "dirty" captains in Dallas and we have very few out of level players. But we do have more crybabies & poor losers than any other city in Texas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your two cents John.
ReplyDeleteSUPER STAR CAPTAINS
ReplyDeleteDallas is fortunate to have some of the best league captains across Texas.
4.5 BRANCH has dominated 4.5 for years and has an excellent chance to make Nationals this year.
4.0 SOMABUT has made Sectionals 7 times in the last 8 years. (Hill is an up and comer who should make our list next year)
3.5 SISK made Nationals last year and is one of the favorites to win 3.5 Sectionals this year.
3.0 BENDER has 3 teams going to Sectionals this year and had made 3.0 Nats a couple of times.
You can hate them if you want. And a lot of jealous losers sling mud in their direction. But they all good guys, they play fair, and they play by the rules.
BullShit
ReplyDeleteThere are many many examples and I call your BS. Lets just start with the latest, Wickman. Did Sisk play by the rules, and if so, why did Wickman get DQed?
ReplyDeleteIs it playing by the rules when Bender asks any self rate on his team to lose every single match during the season?
ReplyDeleteIs it playing by the rules when Sisk places his singles ringers at doubles and has them tank matches.
Should we keep going.......
Say what you want, but we all know it's true, and if it takes being a moral less cheater to be a good captain, then I'm glad I'm not part of those teams. They can go f themselves in Vegas or wherever they do their dirty crap.
we'd all be better off we we just let the ntrp computer take care of rating issues and we all focused on our own game.
ReplyDeletecongratulate the winners and move on. whining and complaining and calling others cheaters doesnt do any good anyway.
Their they go again the anon's who call people cheaters but wont post their name. The cheaters post their name when they post.Nothing better then calling people out and hiding behind the anon.
ReplyDeleteWhen some people get beat they react by whining and complaining. They make malicious untrue allegations about those who win. In some perverse way it makes these sickos feel better about themselves if they can blame someone else for their own failure.
ReplyDeleteIf the successful teams win by a lopsided score the whiners say they are "out of level". If they win close, the whiners say they were "managing scores". If the winning team loses a match or two along the way, the whiners claim "tanking".
No matter what the result _ poor losers can always complain about something. These complaints come from truly pathetic, frustrated individuals.
Ok, so explain the DQs?
ReplyDeleteIf someone lies about their background they should be DQed. thats the system working the way it should. but people need to stop the charges of tanking and score management. most of that is pure BS from frustrated losers.
ReplyDeleteAnd you need to stop defending the cheaters, what are you, a crooked ambulance chasing lawyer, or are you simply on Sisk's team?
ReplyDelete"And you need to stop defending the cheaters, what are you, a crooked ambulance chasing lawyer, or are you simply on Sisk's team?"
ReplyDeleteWhy do I think this one is directed at me? If it was directed at me, no it was not me posting any of that.
at the DCC we had 4 teams extremely close in talent and any of the 4 could have easily won it. none of the players looked way out of level. anon 4:27 pm you are just a whining prick. grow up
ReplyDelete4:27 is not anonymous and he did not appear to be whining.
ReplyDeletei saw wickman play and i dont think he was out of level. so i guess he didnt disclose everything on his background statement. that doesnt make sisk a cheater. sisks players at the dcc were very comparable to the players from LTF, GH and Huffines. All good tough matches. but we apparently have one whining prick with a mental problem who thinks differently.
ReplyDeleteTrue. We have some great captains in Dallas and a lot of strong players and they take crap from a few poor losers.
ReplyDeleteIt is my opinion that the whiners often think they are the best 3.5 (and may even think that they are actually sandbaggers themselves) players. If a player can beat them, then that person is obviously a cheater because they themselves are probably cheating. It never occurs to them that they may not be as good as they think.
ReplyDeletezzzzzzzzzzzz....boring...
ReplyDeleteFACTS
ReplyDelete1) We had a very tough competitive 3.5 QT
2) We had a very tough & extremely close DCC
3) All our top 3.5 teams in 2009 are significantly weaker than the Garland team of 2008 with DeFeo and Flora, etc and the LTF team with Mudsam, Morrison, etc.
4) The 2008 3.5 team which Cary had was also much better than our top 2009 3.5 team.
Fact: OUR TEAMS AND PLAYERS ARE NOT OUT OF LEVEL AND OUR CAPTAINS ARE NOT CHEATERS. We just have 1 or 2 ignorant assholes who are sore losers.
Klameci,
ReplyDeleteGreat job with this blog! If you were on my team, I WOULD MAKE SURE YOU WERE THERE AT 7:00 am or 8:30. You are an asset to any team, wish we could have worked it out.Don't have to love each other, just have to get to Tucson together.
As far as Terrance, he is deemed 60% disabled by our government. He suffered injury in Afghanistan and has a scar 1/3 the length of his spine and nearly had his right arm amputated.
As far as "out of level" who at DCC was a true 3.5 by USTA definition? That goes for any level. Andy Mac on my 4.0 team got beat 0-0 by Featherstone, both players aren't 4.0 by definition. You are slightly out of level or way out of level. The fact is you are out of level. The margins vary between players. I have been asked many times if I ever had my serve clocked? 3.5 serves by definition don't get clocked.
Good luck to all teams this weekend!! Hope it is an all DALLAS final like last year!!!
You need to get clocked alright.
ReplyDelete3.5 tennis, does anyone really care about this stuff?
ReplyDeleteThis blog is great. If it didn't exist Wickman wouldn't have been dq'd. Plus it makes it much easier to scout Dallas teams for sectionals. Thanks annoying Dallas blog posters and whiners for having nothing better to do then complain about your fellow league players.
ReplyDeletePERSONALLY I DONT SEE CHEATING AS A PROBLEM AT ALL AND I DONT BELIEVE THE CHARGES OF TANKING AND SCORE MGT. I JUST WANT TO PLAY COMPETITIVE TENNIS AND HAVE FUN. THE NASTINESS ABOUT SANDBAGGING, CHEATING, ETC IS GETTING OLD.
ReplyDeleteCalling all tattletales and squealers please search the other sectional team rosters for cheaters and please submit a grievence/complaint ASAP!
ReplyDeleteCalling Sheriff Kaiser and Deputy Klamecki, please look at the other teams in Texas.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been on one of those teams and actually experienced the score manipulation? If so, tell us who you are and the year/captain that told you to manipulate the scores.
ReplyDeletethis Kaiser guy sounds like a world class jerk. One of those hate the whole world types. Get over yourself. If you can't handle the competitive world then go work for the government or some non profit thing. Maybe you can rediscover yourself and turn that frown upside down.
ReplyDeleteYou're kidding yourself if you don't think that some of the captains and players on some of those teams don't occasionally throw a match or make the scores closer than they'd be otherwise. It's a lot more difficult to deny when players who've been on those teams admit that it's gone on.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how pervasive it is, but hope that it's seldom. I certainly don't think it's as often as people call out other players here on the blog. Some of those match results may not have looked legitimate, but didn't involve any foul play at all. Unexpected scores and results can legitimately happen, but it can get people to wondering especially if it involves teams that have been associated with not being on the up and up in the past.
I'm sorry, but there's definitely a difference between a great captain and a captain whose teams have great results. One who intentionally cheats the system doesn't fall into the first category.
Enough of people manipulating the system... Does anyone think Dallas/Wild Dallas has a chance this weekend?
ReplyDeleteI don't think either team gets out of their flight.
Dallas/GTC only has 2 really good lines (Hess/Heath and Wiley/Clark) and Fonseca has shown he is very beatable. They need some serious luck. Hess/Heath even lost a match at city playoffs. GTC will be competitive but ultimately be watching on Sunday.
Wild Dallas/Huffhines
Same situation as Dallas/GTC. Oleg is very strong and Jones/Molina are very strong. They can put a good number 2 singles player out there but nothing unbeatable. I think they have a slightly better chance than GTC because their iffy line is probably better than GTC's iffy line.
For either to advance, they need their iffy line to come through. Fonseca needs to draw their opponent's weaker singles player and Oleg needs to draw their opponent's stronger player. I see no way that Huffhines loses both singles lines but GTC could lose both if Fonseca draws the other team's strongest singles player.
Every team tries to gain advantages within the rules. Bender has it down to an art form.
ReplyDeleteGTC has shown that it's not beyond cheating. Should be banned for a year.
Greenhill bends rules, but can't win so nobody ever jumps on them or cares.
How about if all self-rates start UP one level for the first season?
Dallas area should go by computer only, and no appeals down without a certified death certificate. The way most captains operate even that should be notarized.
To "Totally Dissinterested 4.0 Guy":
ReplyDeleteDon't go calling me names when you don't know the story. As a team captain, I represent our team. If a player comes to me with complaints about another player and backs it up with facts and data, it is my job to present that to the appropriate personnel. This was the case with Wickman.
Sisk knew about it and we discussed it. He would have preferred me going to him first instead of Tosha but I didn't have the time. It is what it is.
In terms of his level of play, whether he has one arm, two arms or a third arm. He beat DeMetsennaere 1&1 in a pre-season match and beat Oleg Yaremenko something like 0-2. Everyone complains about Oleg being out of level, so you take those results and take the fact he played college, of course I am going to present the facts to the USTA.
I am on no witch hunts, just doing my job.
In terms of Klamecki and his singles record. It speaks for itself. Third set tie breaks for him means nothing. His way of playing is to use the first set to figure a player out. He would then take care of business. I never worried when he lost the first set, as I knew he had what it takes to come back. He was a great player to have on our team.
Last year city and QT were harder than sectionals. The teams from Dallas arent' as strong as last years, but I would imagine it is the same for the other cities as well.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't rule any team out from Dallas. - BUT I wouldn't rule any team in either.
Garland has a good team, so does Huffines. Its a lonnnnnng weekend too if you go to the finals. 6 matches. Not horribly tough for doubles players, but singles players might be hurting a little bit by the 3rd day.
To have it go down like cities did this year with 3 teams tied on team record is not out of the realm. To make it to finals, I like the 3.5 Huffines team. They have a lot of good players that can help the team advance. They have a lot of singles players that can step in and not drastically hurt the team when Oleg and Chris are resting their singles play.
ReplyDeleteYoda returns...
ReplyDeleteBoring, blog is becoming...
More smack talking, Yoda needs to hear...
Local support for Dallas/Dallas Wild? Hmm... ok yes, Yoda says we should...
Request Yoda has for Sisk -- bring ladies to match -- preferably 4'11 or shorter, and under 120 lbs
Predictions!!
ReplyDeleteMatchups and lineups are key this time of year, and it takes a bit of luck as coaches do not know the teams the same way they do with Dallas teams. In Cities each team tried to exploit weaknesses, while others tried to hide their weaknesses knowing what each team had.
I agree with the above poster that each team has weaknesses, but if the lineups match up the right way each team has a chance to advance.
Huffines - will need to do its homework in order to know when to play Jones at singles, and when to move him to doubles. When he plays singles, it does leave them vulnerable at doubles.
Garland - Two very good doubles lines and a third line that is above average. The key for them is to match Fonseca with the weaker singles player. Garland will lose its 2nd singles line almost every time so it does put alot of pressure on the doubles to get 2 out 3 every match.
I think Huffines has a better chance of advancing because of their strength at singles. Even with Bert playing singles they have a chance to get 2 lines each time, especially when it is Jones and Oleg. Their doubles are good enough that they should win 1 of 3 lines.
Prediction is that Huffines advances and Garland losses!!
Garland is a good team, but I think they need a bit more luck with matchups than does Huffines. It is alot of matches for Fonseca in 2 days, and they need him to win out for them to have a chance. If he runs into a good singles player it could mean trouble with nothing on line 2 at singles.
Good luck to both!
If only Dallas players' egos would not get in the way... Imagine if you could put the following lineup out in no particular order but this is how I would set up my double's partners.
ReplyDeleteOleg
Fonseca
Jones/Wiley
Palacioz/Bennett
Varner/Heath
You have one really strong 3.5 team that could compete at nationals... and probably still get by Sisk's nemesis.. the Puerto Ricans.
3 Garland players on the team, haha. Heath is good, but not one of the best doubles players in Dallas. Jones would also be one of the singles players.
ReplyDeleteSingles - Oleg, Jones, Fonseca, Klamecki
Doubles - Varner/Palacioz, Clark/Wiley, Arcadia/Bennett, Mitterer/Strohl
As stated GTS has 2 great dub lines and 1 above avg to very good 3rd line. GTC'S 3rd line is better then all other teams true third lines and prob equal to most teams 2nd line so they could sweep the dub lines. Gtc's 3rd line gave Huffines #1 line all they could handle and that was with JOnes having to play. Gtc needs to win 1 singles line everytime and they will advance.
ReplyDeleteWhile GTC may have the best true #3 doubles line, they still need to match up with the other teams #3 line. This is why matchups are so important.
ReplyDeleteSure bring up the match where the challenged teh Huffines guys. They went 1-3 in Cities. They are a line 3 team, better than most, but will lose to line 1 and line 2's as shown at cities. If they get a matchup, they will lose than line, they will lose #2 singles, and the pressure is on for the other three lines to win.
ReplyDeleteIf one of those lines runs up against solid competitor they are done.
Singles - Oleg, Jones, Fonseca, Klamecki
ReplyDeleteDoubles - Varner/Palacioz, Clark/Wiley, Arcadia/Bennett, Mitterer/Strohl
Oleg
Fonseca
Jones/Wiley
Palacioz/Bennett
Varner/Heath
These are all good names,
And this is what I was talking about months ago with the Dallas Super team notion.
But I don't think many of these guys were named,
Hindsight is 20/20.
Looking back we could have put together a Real contender with out any self-raters.
GTC line 3 only lost to all the other teams true line 1's except for LTF and they had to pull Klamecki out of singles to play line 2. If Gtc has that solid a line 3 then they can hold up to any other teams line 3 or 2 for that matter as you dont find Klamecki's playing true line twos everyday.Again that depends on the luck of the draw.
ReplyDeleteIf GTC wins 1 singles line then they will always win 2 dub lines regardless of how the lines fall. That will allow them to advance. Huffines doesnt have the dub dept to win and they cant afford to pull Jones to play dubs at sectionals. I would take 2 single wins and hope for a big break in dubs.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with GTC is if either Wiley/Clark or Hess/Heath draw a top notch doubles line and lose. Not to insult those guys, because I think those are both very solid 4.0 doubles lines but they need to be very solid 4.5 doubles lines to be unbeatable at sectionals. GTC will not be the only team that brings that kind of doubles firepower. If one of the teams in their flight can take them and they lose both singles, they are screwed.
ReplyDeleteGTC loses along the way because they have only 3 truly reliable lines and their reliable singles line of Fonseca lost to Gerber, was played close by Alzuro (WTF????) and went 3 with Sam Bert. He is beatable by some sectionals guys. They will need that line 3 doubles team to do better than 1-3 at sectionals to get out of theri flight.
Both GTC and Huffines are good teams, but anything can happen and matchups will be key! We saw how close Cities were and a line change here or there and outcomes would have been different for all teams.
ReplyDeleteWell said Anon 1:23
ReplyDeleteIntelligent talk on the blog????? Tell me it ain't so. Is this some alternative universe?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, both teams have a good chance of getting out of their flight but they will need a little luck. GTC has a little tougher time becaue that #2 singles line is a straight up loss.
Getting 2 singles lines and 1 doubles line for Huffhines is easier than hoping you get all three doubles lines or your could win singles line comes through every time.
I just heard that the Huffines match at 7 am is expected to be their toughest match.
ReplyDeleteIf only they could change their match time to like 10 or 11 am, I would come out to watch. I still might be out there, otherwise, GOOD LUCK~!!
That goes for you too Sisk. If you win it now, you win it with a team that deserves to be there.
super team idea is a good one for 2010. approach one of the "super captains" to run the team and others contribute their best players. would be special to have a dallas 3.5 team at nats with a chance to win. but big egos are hard to manage.
ReplyDeleteFonseca and Klamecki at singles, are you guys drunk? Oleg and Jones are gimmies at singles, but the other two names forget it. Gerber beats both of those guys and look where he'll be playing this weekend........
ReplyDeletegreat results = great captain. that's the captains job -> get his team to sectionals and hopefully nats. been to nats 1x (with one of the super caps) and it is the best tennis experience ever. great captains make that experience possible for their players.
ReplyDeletethose of you that have never been to nats - u just have no idea how much fun it is. and the claims of cheating are stupid. same rules apply to everyone.
It's funny how Jesus was a ringer/out of level and now he is a Gerber type player! Show that the squealers have no clue.
ReplyDeleteGTC and Huffines both have a decent shot. GTC should get by every team winning 3-2, 1 singles & 2 doubles. Huffines needs to matchup perfectly, I don't see them winning any matches without playing Jones/Molina at doubles. They will be the key line just like at city. Matchups will be key.
ReplyDeleteKaiser,
ReplyDeleteIt was so much nicer when you were on vacation. How was AA?
We can be proud of our two 3.5 representatives at Sectionals. Both solid teams and all the players are legit. Unfortunately several of the out-of-town teams will be better this year.
ReplyDeleteJohn Sisk,
ReplyDeleteTell your guys to be on alert when you play SETX/Mike Getz. When Getz starts hooking you, your guys need to call for an umpire pretty quickly. Don't let that prick steal the match with bad calls.
Kaiser,
ReplyDeleteClimb back in your spider hole, you were the token captain. You didn't run your team, your team ran you. Marc did a great job keeping you from last place.
Marc already regrets jumping on Kaiser's bandwagon in the 4.0 thread instead of Hill's. Kaiser get off his nutsack, he doesn't give a crap about you. Has Klameci ever lost a match after dropping the first set? Ever? He would drop the 1st and 2nd vs Oleg or Jones!!
ReplyDeleteKlamecki would not have even played on Hill's team. He would have been a cheerleader. He should have joined any of the other teams (GTC/Huffhines/GH) if he wanted to advance. He chose the wrong team, the world did not end for him.
ReplyDelete12:26pm, funny how out of the eight superstars you mentioned that could compete at nationals that 7 out of the 8 are 4.0 bumps and the only one that is still 3.5 is G. Wiley... please explain that one to me?
ReplyDeleteOn Kaiser's team, he had a great shot to win it all. If just any of the doubles teams in the last match had pulled through, they would be in sectionals this weekend. It wasn't a bad team and they had a legit shot to win it all against a team that had no chance for the playoffs final match.
ReplyDeleteMarc can say all he wants about not joining Eddie's team, but teh previous poster is right, Marc would not even have played on Eddie's team. His statement in the 4.0 blog was ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteBreaking News:
ReplyDeleteNeither Me nor Lifetime is in the Play-Offs anymore!!!
Please Talk about Mark Anderson or Mark Hess and leave this Marc out of the Sectional talk.
thanks
Once again, I think that was tongue in cheek humor. If he had joined the 4.0 LTF team, and not the 3.5 LTF team he would be in sectionals right now (regardless of whether he played or not). That is the humor. get it?
ReplyDeleteYep LFT 3.5 was really run by committee with bigturd as the figurehead. I still say they had the best 3.5 team in Dallas. But they managed to lose anyway with Gerber choking away 3 match points and some poor line-up decisions by bigturd.
ReplyDeleteCan't blame it on Gerber, the whole team choked collectively. Wasn't poor line up decisions, it was bad execution unfortunatley.
ReplyDeleteI think its ironic that Houston does not have a 3.5 blog
ReplyDeletehouston does not even have a 4.0 blog. It's all about 4.5s there
ReplyDeleteHave any appeals been granted? Any pussy alerts yet?
ReplyDeleteGerber doubled faulted one match point and blew an easy winner on another match point. Real bad case of nerves.
ReplyDeleteEnough Bullshit about Lifetime they lost 3 matches regardless of line-ups if they were the best they would have proven it on the court. So stop the B.S.
ReplyDeleteGerber double faulted earlier in that tiebreak, not on a match point. The only point he blew Jones hit a forehand right at his feet, Gerber swung late and hit it right into the fence, not much he could have done.
ReplyDeleteHe should have just blocked it back. Soooo, there was something he could have done. :)
ReplyDeleteHe should have punched Jones in the face when they had their "altercation"
ReplyDeleteNow that would have been funny!
ReplyDeleteMan, you guys can't let stuff go. I can't even remember half the details on that match, but the anons sure paid attention. It's over, we lost, talk about something else already. Here I'll give you some ammo; Playing 4.0 singles at the Denise Terrill. Nice draw of 33 including Oleg and Yuan Chen (the only couple names I recognize). Darn, forgot this was the 3.5 section...........
ReplyDeleteGerber
"great results = great captain"
ReplyDeleteAu contraire, not necessarily ...
Good luck tomorrow to both the Dallas teams, but especially my good friends at the GTC!
ReplyDeleteGREAT RESULTS = GREAT CAPTAIN
ReplyDeleteNo Truer Words . . .
Go John and GTC!
Huffhines squeaked out their first win vs SA
ReplyDeleteWins by
Oleg
Jones
and Molina + Anderson.
Player info on Darby Norman from Amarillo. Get the word out to Huffhines.
ReplyDeleteOverall, he is average to good player.
He has a sick spin serve. It will make you look like a fool. It bounces very short into the box and shoots about 90 right.
Gotta keep foot moving. Eventually you get the hang of it.
Congrats Huffines! I like the lineup you has as well with Jones and Oleg at singles, and Anderson w/ Molina. Nothing against your other players but that is probably your best doubles line when you have Jones at singles. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteGerber,
ReplyDeleteThis should be fun watching you crash and burn at 4.0 at that tournament. You won't have Kaiser there to protect you and stick you on D3. Of course, you did squat on doubles anyway.
Dallas/Sisk loses to Wild Austin!!
ReplyDeleteSee what happens Sisk when you play with players in their actual level!!
ReplyDeleteThe anons were right about GTC!! If Fonseca ran into a tough match and lost they were in trouble!! Matchups, matchups, matchups!
ReplyDeleteLosing to a wild card, wow!
I am still trying to find out who thought Fonseca was a ringer. The dude has lost three times and been pushed to three too. He is solid but not anything outstanding.
ReplyDeleteHess and Heath getting beaten pretty easily was a surprise.
Wiley and Clark won easily.
Is it possible this just proves GTC was not cheating and just an average/good 3.5 team?
ReplyDeleteI think everyone just assumed that Fonseca was better that he is,
ReplyDeleteEvery spring Sisk tries to pull some Bullshit, His free passes are up now. Everyone watches him like a hawk and scrutinizes his every move, Wickman did not get DQ'ed because people saw him play and said "wow, that guys is out of level like Flora"
He got DQ cuz people are tried of Sisk's Bullshit and were out on a witch hunt and knew if they looked hard enough they could find something. and they did!
If Sisk still had wickman his lines would be in much better shape but he got caught.
I agree with the last 2 posters. First, someone said that Dallas was just average this year. They were right and GTC is just a good 3.5 team and not loaded with ringers. Also, Sisk has tried things in the past and got caught; this puts him under the microscope.
ReplyDeleteAs for Wickman, they would be much better off but I was told by a reliable source he is no better than Fonseca. That same person told me all of the injury stories about Wickman are not exagerrated and he really did have to have his arm reattached. It probably would not matter enough to get them to nationals but they would be more competive.
Does GTC get an epic fail?
ReplyDeleteGarland was a 10 point tie-breaker from winning 3-2
ReplyDeleteand a 10 point tiebreaker from losing 1-4
That's just how it goes.
Haha! We didn't hear from you Garland when you squeeked into Sectionals by winning 3rd set tie breaks. Now your on the losing end and you tell us how you were close to winning 4-1.
ReplyDeleteWhen you won those close matches you were the best, now you tell us that is how it goes.
Can someone answer my why Chris Gordon plays on a 4.0 team when this guy cannot even win a 3.5 match?
ReplyDeleteHuffines won again, 2-0 going into tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAustin Team - Flight 3 looks like the team to beat in Sectionals right now.
ReplyDeleteAbout Gordon, I bet GTC is wondering the same question right now.
ReplyDeleteJohn Bobbit had his penis re-attached and went on to perform in the porn industry. Just ask Sisk, he owns his videos. So it should not affect Wickman even if he had his head re-attached. The guy crushed Oleg easily but no, he is no better than Fonseca. Get a clue you brain-dead people.
ReplyDeleteHuffhines sweeps Amarillo 5-0
ReplyDeletewith a 6-0 6-1 win by reitzer
Amarillo must suck
In the last match tommorrow:
ReplyDelete4:00pm NETX vs Huffhines,
both teams should be undefeated and the winner should advance to the semis
It looks like Huffines has alot of guys they can move in out of the lineup and can play singles as well as dubs. Looking at the match against Amarillo, they had Reitzer playing singles and changed up their dubs to have Bert and Jones on one line, and Molina and Anderson on the other. Heck even old Ratcliff got in and picked up a victory. Huffines looks tough!
ReplyDeleteI think Austin(flight 3) will cruise to the finals and have a good shot at winning it all.
ReplyDeleteIn other news if you look at Chris Jones on tennislink it looks like he is sandbagging even more now. He played in the boys 14's and got crushed!!
I think the 2 teams from Austin are the best 2 teams at Sectionals - just from watching.
ReplyDeleteHe wants to get bumped backed down so he can join all the other 3.5 lifers. He likes beating up on 3.5s as he is getting revenge on life for all the ass kickings he took growing up.
ReplyDeleteevery team has a few sandbaggers
ReplyDeleteno sandbaggers or ringers- pure 3.5 tennis by usta definition, right?? control direction with one stroke, inconsistent serve.come get a look for yourself, these 788 cheaters all over our city, pathetic, just pathetic.
ReplyDeleteWhy dont you just shut the fuck up! You make no sense and are clearly just bitter for some reason... get some help before its to late...
ReplyDeleteWhere's all the chatter? This blog usually blows up with comments and we just finished the first day of sectionals yet there are only a few comments. Are most of the anons sisk sympathizers and keeping quiet? What gives?
ReplyDeleteafter day one my predictions are:
Wild Dallas vs. Wild Austin
San Angelo vs. Austin
not sure who wins in the battle of the wilds but Austin should roll over San Angelo and probably beat whomever in the finals.
Sme of the other cities have as many, if not more, sandbaggers as the Dallas area. Look up their records...or continue to be ignorant.
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone has ever said that Dallas is the only city that cheats. Still doesn't make it right.
ReplyDeleteactually, the blog died once Lifetime was defeated
ReplyDeleteIt has become painfully obvious that the blog needs LTF to survive. Once they lost, they tucked their trash talking tails between their legs.
ReplyDeleteSucks that both Dallas teams would meet in semifinals. All other cities with wild would have to meet in finals.
ReplyDeleteno worries - neither dallas team is going to make the semis
ReplyDeleteTWO BIGGEST 3.5 SANDBAGGERS AT SECTIONALS
ReplyDeleteThese two guys looked to me like the best players at Sectionals:
NETX Jeff Kurnik
Austin Corey Bilse
Both outstanding players and both were kept "underwraps" during the local season.
Looks like Kurnik is the tennis coach at Lufkin HS. Nice.
ReplyDeletelooks like Kurnik managed his scores to keep from getting dqed. netx is durtier than garland.
ReplyDeleteSomeone should ask him if he teaches his tennis team to cheat like he does, lol
ReplyDeleteIf you watch 3.5 Sectionals you can see clearly that our Dallas 3.5 players are not out of level compared with the other teams across Texas.
ReplyDeleteCan you be a teaching pro and/or HS Tennis Coach and still self rate 3.5? Does anyone knows the rules on that?
ReplyDeletecall tosha and ask
ReplyDeleteCorey Bilse is definitely one of the best players there. Unfortunately for all the teams the second best might be another player on Austin. Mohit won Houston MZ and beat Chris Jones 6-0, 4-3 until he retired.
ReplyDeleteAfter day 1, don't expect both to be in semis. One of the teams should have been in Flight 3 or 4 to begin with.
ReplyDeleteHS coach does not mean teaching pro.
ReplyDeleteI believe teaching pros should be 4.0 and up.
Greg Wiley & Keith Clark drop a double bagel but it's too little too late.
ReplyDeleteHuffhines squeaks out another 3- 2 win,
Next round is win or go home for Ratliff's boys
Huffhines match came down to line 3dubs, Molina/Andersen vs Rankin/Rankin. 3rd set tb, 10-8. Ratcliff keeps making the correct lineup decisions. Congrats to the 'fines.
ReplyDeleteHave Huffines and Garland played their 4th matches yet? any results?
ReplyDeleteLooks like Austin is in.
GTC won their last match, but it was way closer than it should be. Why does Sisk keep playing that C. Gordan character? That guy is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteGTC is in semis if Wild Austin loses
ReplyDeleteI think Chris Gordon was the one that was suppose to deliver the cocaine and hookers to Austin's room for Sisk, too bad he sniffed it all instead, and Austin beat them! Evidence points that way based on the way Gordon played!
ReplyDeleteWild Austin will not lose! GTC will be at home sucking their thumbs, whining how they lost 3rd set tie breaks!
ReplyDeleteCurious why Sisk has not played a match yet?
I heard Sisk pulled a groin watching his John Bobbit videos on Thursday night!
ReplyDeleteExcept that it was Chris Gordon that was pulling it!
ReplyDeleteHuffhines lost 2-3
ReplyDeleteLosses by Oleg in 3, Molian/Anderson, Ed/Lipsie
Good run guys.
Both Dallas team fall short!
ReplyDeleteRatcliffe picked the wrong time to put himself in the lineup. WTF ???
ReplyDeleteAll the talk about NETX's Kurnik they didn't even need him to beat Lifetime!
ReplyDeleteDamn, I think the USTA should make note of the level of players in Dallas and not grant them a wild card next year. Maybe give Austin 3 teams or NETX a second team. What a waste DallASS
Finally got to a computer!!! WOW!!! Sux about the Dallas teams!!! Looks like the Nationals team is going to come out of Flight 3 or 4, unless there competition was reallly that weak. wow!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Grand Pa did the right line up for the last match, but Oleg just got beat by a better player, (as the score shows). tough match. Oleg is a good player, so that guy must have been just a hair better. Bet if they played again a few more times, Oleg doesn't lose every time.
Good stuff. That is the way it goes though. Dallas made a good run at it.
Anon 6:24, Ed and Lipsie faced a buzzzzzsaw. Didn't matter who Ed put in there amongst available players. Congrats on a great run.
ReplyDeleteI hear Oleg had 3 match points to
ReplyDeleteI chose neither for the poll. What did I win?
ReplyDeleteSooo, Ummm, who is going to win the Stephen Terrill tourney at BH?
ReplyDeleteAt sectionals almost all the teams are going to be good and have ringers. The difference is how the captains manage their team and scout other teams to get the best matchups. If you ask me both Dallas teams did this poorly. Looking at the lineups it seems they believe all they need is a few ringers and they can put them anywhere.
ReplyDeleteTo the last poster. Are you stupid Ratcliffe almost pulled off another Win considering Jones has a bad should and had to play doubles. The match-ups were in Dallas favor with NETX best doubles team against Dallas weakest. Oleg was up 9-7 in the tie-breaker but the Tyler player hung in and pulled it out or Dallas would have Won 3-2. Ratcliffe did a great job of scouting opponents during the season and play-offs.So shut up!!!! Another Captain
ReplyDeleteYes, Ed did do a great job. Their #1 doubles had an easy win. #1 and #2 singles were the other can't miss scenarios.
ReplyDeleteOleg fell a little short,to someone that obviously was not way out of level, much like Oleg. If Oleg had been blown out, I would be absolutely pissed. Instead it was a very tight match.
You also have to commend Reitzer for coming throug EVERY time. He is not as talented as Jones and Oleg, so the fact that he won all his matches means he won it with energy, smarts, and desire.
Still don't know if Austin was completely out of level. We will find out in about 1 hour.
WOW- what a run!!! Unfortunate Dallas is out. Many good teams and players. I think Austin takes it all and hope they win Nats.
ReplyDeleteRatcliffe did a great job coaching throughout all of the playoffs. He seemed to jar the right move every time being that he had holes in his lineup. He had the correct lineup again, with oleg against their top Guy and ratcliffe against their top doubles. Oleg had won every mwtch this year and came up a bit short. They had been riding him all season. With the lineup I do not see what else Ed could have done, they just got beat by a good team. Nice run huffines!
ReplyDeleteSounds like Austin is coming on our blog stating Austin should have 3 teams, haha! I didn't hear anyone from Austin boasting when Dallas had both teams in the finals last year. It is probably one of those homo looking brothers that play doubles on wild Austin! I think thoase two are lovers in addition to bring brothers!
ReplyDeleteMohit gives good handle.
ReplyDeletehow do self-rated guys give out double bagels at state and not get DQd? this shit is a joke
ReplyDeleteSisk - your run would have been better without Gordon - why did you play him?
ReplyDeleteYes -
ReplyDeleteHats off to grandpa. He definitely gets "Captain of the Year" in my book.
Job well done Ed.
Austin wins it in the finals against NETX 3-2. Not as close as the score. Austin won 2 doubles right off the bat, then were way ahead on singles for the 3rd win. NETX pulled out a win tiebreaker against an Austin line 1 team that choked their match away after looking like the team through the 1st set and a half.
ReplyDeleteThe guy that beat Oleg supposedly got beat pretty easy by Austin team, but he didn't look crazy good. I am not sure what happened there.
That's the scoop though, Austin wins a pretty easy 3-2 win to go to Nationals.
wow! they were quick to report. Okay, it was line 2 that was the 3rd set tie breaker. Interesting thing is that it looks like San Angelo is disputing their match again Austin "Disputed by - Tobin L. Lefler"
ReplyDeleteIs Austin a 3.5 level team by USTA definition????? Do you need ringers at this, or any level??? If they get beat at Nationals what does that make the team that beats them? Do you guy's get it now??? If you don't, you never will!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBy 3.5 definition, was GTC? was Huffhines? was Greenhill? was Lifetime?
ReplyDeleteIf you want to win, yo must have players that are solid 4.0 to highlevel 4.0. You need to mix in a few 4.5s to compete at nationals.
You are right, half 4.5's to compete. Local boy's sqealing don't get it.
ReplyDeleteAustin was not way out of level IMO except for maybe line 1 singles. Every doubles line was solid. No one was a high level 4.0 or even close to a 4.5
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS TO DALLAS LADIES
ReplyDeleteDallas women won every event at Sectionals this weekend:
W 2.5 Ed Warren's Team
LoneStar HP/Picker
W 3.0 HP/Zemattis
W 3.5 Canyon Creek/ Plummer
Collin County men won 3.0 also. Looks like Men's 3.5 was the only championship which did not go to Dallas this weekend.
ReplyDelete7:54 poster were they 3.5 talent by USTA definition? If so everyone else needs to be bumped down to lonestar.
ReplyDeleteI don't know one player on any team that is 3.5 according to USTA standard, but all the players understand what a 3.5 is. 3.5 says you have a hard time getting your serve in and can't hit a backhand. That would be no one on any 3.5 team I know.
ReplyDeleteIf Huffines had their players win, they could have been there in the finals. Same thing for Sisk Team. 1 match, 3-2 loss.
No one should be congratulating Bender or even mentioning his team. When you go to Nationals almost every year, you don't get what its all about. That is something that should be achieved (earned) maybe once or twice in a lifetime.
ReplyDeletethere are always some jealous assholes out there. nice job collin county 3.0. have fun and good luck at nats. the whiners will all be staying home.
ReplyDeleteIT SHOULD BE CLEAR TO EVERYONE. NO ONE ON GARLAND 3.5 WAS OUT OF LEVEL. NO ON HUFFINES 3.5 WAS OUT OF LEVEL. NO ONE ON LTF 3.5 WAS OUT OF LEVEL. YET WE HAD SO MANY UNJUSTIFIED COMPLAINTS. LETS HAVE LESS HATE. JUST CONGRATULATE THE WINNERS W/O WHINNING AND NAME CALLING.
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of hate, but no one was out of level. Oleg played 4.0 tourney's and got beat pretty quickly out there.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the 2 Dallas teams made it to Sectionals is a pretty big accomplishment, and literally fell one line short from a chance at the finals. That is a good season and a good team. Job well done by all on that team.
Unfortunately with league success comes hateful comments by sore losers. It happens every year. Goes with the territory.
ReplyDeleteBender is already trying to figure out a way to get a 2.5 rating for next year... that guy is a joke! "I'm off to nationals" bender was heard yelling as he left the court, "now my life is complete"... Bender is a cheating joke of a player and capt.
ReplyDelete
