The weather keeps anyone from playing. This weeks looks a little better so hopefully some makeup results will come in.
While many teams already have 8 players on the roster, the roster deadline is Wednesday. In the event you are short or like several teams, have ZERO on your roster, you need to call your prospects and get them signed up. I know the deadline isn't very concrete but those are the rules.
Once we have flights, I will do my analysis. Until then, there is nothing to say.
Hope my makeup match gets played today.
ReplyDeleteI hope Kelley loses to Brookhaven
ReplyDeleteYou have no hope
DeleteNo doubt. That aint happening. That's like Tyson fighting Gary Coleman
ReplyDeleteI don't think their best 4.5 guys playing together would beat Mike and Heather
ReplyDeleteWe have a surprise team waiting on Kookey, I mean Kelley. They have not lost a match. Brookhaven will prevail!
ReplyDeleteHave they played a match? Nothing like getting started o-1. Kooky has barely lost a game.
Deleteread my post 10:08!
ReplyDeleteI said the team they will play will be a surprise hopefully and will sign up last minute and obliterate kelly! Kookey has played 6 matches in ft worth and dallas and lost 5 games. Thats 72 games won to 5 games lost. He will lose more than that in his first set Sunday if the matchups fall right. Brookhaven been waiting on this the whole season....ha
doesnt matter. i think there is a playoff so who gives a damn if he goes undefeated. He will choke in sectionals
ReplyDeleteEven if you get someone that can beat Kookey you have to win another line. I see another sweep and even if BH sweeps, you still have lines to make up to catch Springpark.

Deletenot that it matters to you i am sure but i looked at his sectional results going back 5 years. he has NEVER lost a match at sectionals. not sure how that stacks up in your book but that is incredible. i dont see a reason to believe SP wont win nationals agian, or at least attend. Rule says if you choose not to attend two national events in 3 years you must sit out a year.
I'll make it easy. Kelly will play line 1 on Sunday. Make the match up and lets see what happens.
ReplyDeleteAlan
If he sez he will play him there he will follow thru w that
ReplyDeletewhile i admire alans honesty w the lineup I question why give that away? Anyway if you are brookhaven and believe him dont you put your worst team at 1 and try and win the other two? although that aint happenin either. only way kelley loses a match is if he is chained to the back fence. unless i cant add they still would have to lose the next match. Springpark will not lose either. they are on their way to prob another nationals.
ReplyDeleteThe other two are pretty good too.
Deletetoo bad kelley and springpark have a team bec if they did not brookhaven might eventually go to sectionals. Rumor is kelley playing this year and hanging it up. Alan sez he will take a breather from captaining
ReplyDeletewho cares???? its mixed and its easy to win. Nobody wants to waste their time!
ReplyDeleteExactly. When are all the make up matches going to finish.
ReplyDeleteNo way to predict? There is no shot clock in tennis.
DeleteAccording to the dta email, the shot clock for men's 40s make ups expires March 21.
Deletecan't be. Last match is on the 22nd? If so, why? A ton of matches to make up because of weather. I would be surprised if the DTA doesn't work with the captains.
ReplyDeleteI'd be surprised if they if they did.
DeleteNope. Last regular match scheduled for Sunday 3/15.
Deletethat is not correct, our team has a match on the 21st
ReplyDeleteAs you know, the regular season ends Sunday, 3/15/2015. The 2015 USTA Dallas 40 and over ADULT M. CITY CHAMPIONSHIP is scheduled for 3/27-3/29/2015 leaving LITTLE wiggle room for additional make ups. As per the 2015 USTA Dallas Rules and Regulations, teams have 14 days to complete make up matches. For the OPEN matches dated 2/22/2015, the deadline should be on or before 3/8/2015. We would truly appreciate if your teams can get the make-ups completed by 3/8/2015 but understand with the inclement weather this week and spring break next that may be difficult, so the DTA will allow to be completed on or before Saturday, 3/21/2015 to avoid Team Defaults (#10A in the 2015 USTA Dallas Rules and Regulations). We strongly encourage teams NOT TO WAIT until 3/21/2015 to complete OPEN matches. The DTA will not be able to allow further extensions and teams will be at risk of a TEAM DEFAULT. If needed, schedule and complete 3 lines within the allowed make up window so that you have completed the majority of lines. We simply can’t extend further due to CITY CHAMPIONSHIP at the end of the month, Easter and the start of the 2015 USTA Dallas 18 and over ADULT League. Thank you for your understanding, acceptance and efforts!!!!
