The rain seems to have ended and the Spring/Summer season is right around
the corner. If you haven’t checked
recently, teams have been flighted and the schedule of play is now available on
tennis link. They show 3.0 having one
flight of five teams, 3.5 has three flights with 15 total teams, 4.0 has four
flights with 40 total teams, 4.5 has three flights with 28 total teams, and
5.0+ has one flight of 11 teams. As you might expect, that’s a lot of research
to do so please be patient and my flight contender predictions will be out as
rosters fill out and the season gets closer.

The big question is who wins Open? I hear they have some out of level ringers.
ReplyDeleteThose ringers on Tony Le's team
DeleteTony has some decent players on his team but if those fat ass's on his team would all lose about 40 lbs, they would all be able to compete at 4.5!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they need to try that Plexus stuff that all the 3.5 women are drinking now?
Delete75% of Dallas players could lose about 40 lbs. Tony's team is on the smaller side.
DeleteSo many complaints on this blog from guys who say they aren't in it to go to nationals, or even sectionals. Let's do the math. There are 40 teams in 4.0 and if like last year, 8 will make QT and another 4 will make cities. That leaves about 10-12 teams disappointed they didn't make the playoffs. Of the playoff teams, only 2 make sectionals. That's another 10 teams disappointed. Those two then get beat at sectionals by Houston. So why do any of you play if you're just going to be pissed that someone beat you at some point? If you can't win your flight, or Dallas, you sure can't win sectionals.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Let's petition to cancel the season now.
DeleteHouston won't win this year.
DeleteHouston will be out in both 4.0 and 4.5 this year
DeleteThis is the year of Dallas.
DeleteAfter continuing to read on occasion this blog, it has become painfully clear despite my great hopes otherwise that tennis players are just not the brightest bunch. At least the posters here seem a few strings short of fully strung racquet.
ReplyDeleteBut keep on swinging fellas. Keep on swinging.
Incredibly insightful. You may have just proven your point.
Deleteso, lets gets some preseason picks at the division?
ReplyDelete3.0? does bender take it? I dont think they will lose.
3.5 should be competitive as CC has a wild card and only won that wild card as high point wasnt able to play their normal lineups, i think Clark and Greenhill should be front runners.
4.0 looks to be some battles with Clark, Greenhill and Sisk in the same flight.
4.0 has Le walking to Sectionals.
DeleteDon't know what's the big fuss with Le's team. They'll end losing to Houston at Sectionals. Waste of time going through the same routine, and come up short to Houston. Rinse, lather, repeat!
DeleteI dont see le winning, i see Clark and Greenhill battling for the glory.
ReplyDeleteLe will win. Unless the usta Texas section makes an example out of him and his tanking and his incorrect self rates.
ReplyDeleteBut he does have some solid lines and Mike Zack-ass-ery.
