So any thoughts on good matches this weekend at any level. After a late night rush look these popped out as good ones to me.
3.5
Canyon Creek/Jolly v. Stonebridge (I like Stonebridge in a very close match but I picked Jolly to do well so part of me is hoping my intution works out as well.
Oak Creek v. Brookhaven (OC should win this but it will not be easy, don't sleep on this BH team)
4.0
BH/Pearlman v. LBH/Spagnola (It all depends on the lineups because either team could beat each other. The winner has the inside track on grabbing the 2nd spot behind Springpark who plays my team by the way. I am about to make a large beer offer if Mitch and Gene agree only to be spectators.)
Lifetime v. TBAR
What life in Flight A you have go to be kidding me. Bad news after this match this flight will go back to being a snoozefest but this match should be good. Winner gets shot to chase HP for the top spot and with this screwy playoff format that is important.
4.5
Springpark v. Royal Oaks
Springpark should sign up McGowan and Davis and then I would pick the upset over Royal Oaks.
BHaven v. HP/Martin
Should be a good match up with new blood on the High Point team I am picking them to stay on a roll. Go HP!!!!
Village v. TBAR
Noel's group tries to bounceback after their first loss but this is a tough flight no gimmes and this should be a close won as well. I have never met Hiram but I hope for his sake he can get out of that woodshed if not he might be beating up on us 4.0s in the fall.
Yes, I agree! There’s going to be some great matches this Saturday at the 3.5 level between Oak Creek and Brookhaven. The match is going to be held at Oak Creek this Saturday @ 3:00. Come on out!
ReplyDeleteAlso at the 4.0 level, the match between Brookhaven and LB Houston will be a good one!
A little off the topic …
ReplyDeleteIt would be great to see someone in the north Dallas area pull together a few tennis facilities and bring a major zone tournament to Dallas.
All, please forward the information below to your club director. Hopefully someone could get creative and bring a major zone tournament to Dallas.
Dallas has the potential to create the largest major zone tournament if the right facilities came together.

Adult and Senior Major Zones up for Bid in 2009
The Adult and Senior Tennis Council is putting all of the USTA Texas Section’s Sanctioned Major Zone tournaments up for Bid for the 2009 Tournament year (for Adults , Seniors and Super Seniors). These Bids are due no later than May 31, 2008! They are interested in what you have to offer. You must complete the Bid Form and attach all the information and pictures that will let the Council know what would make your Bid the best - - what would make your tournament unique - - what you can offer the players. Don’t presume that the Council knows your facility and what you have to offer. The Council will want tournaments distributed all over the Texas Section so that players in each category (Adults, Seniors, and Super Seniors) will have an opportunity to play in a fairly convenient location to their home town, if at all possible. They are also interested in facilities offering both Senior and Super Senior Major Zones at the same time & location, but this is not a requirement. Below is the Bid Form with a list of the tournaments that are up for bid, and information on each type of tournament.
BID FORM -- ADULT MZ REQUIREMENTS - SENIOR MZ REQUIREMENTS -- SUPER SENIOR MZ REQUIREMENTS -- DOUBLES ONLY REQUIREMENTS
Cary,
ReplyDeleteI told Mitch there was no beer allowed at HP. He is refusing to play. I am hoping the rest of my team doesn't hear about this. I may not be able to find 8 guys. Do you want to move the match to Spring Park? Jim
In 3.5 in Flight A, undefeated Garland plays Undefeated Canyon Creek. In my opinion, CC will be determined to be pretenders.
ReplyDeleteLifetime gets it done this week on their way to the playoffs. should be a great match, but Lifetime will be too strong in the end. then maybe all you haters can give Lifetime the credit they deserve.
ReplyDeleteI like TBar to win that match. Sorry Lifetimers
ReplyDeleteJim,
ReplyDeleteWe are headed to Buffalo Wild Wings right after the match so he can meet us there or we can meet him in the parking lot with a cooler. I did talk to HP about making an exemption for him but he is not allowed on the premises for at least a few weeks after crushing Brouer/Robinson. Same goes for Gene.
Another Lifetime Hater. give Lifetime their respect after the victory this week. they really should be undefeated. this week they will show how good a team they have.
ReplyDeleteNot a hater in fact I love the bikini clad ladies at the pool. Just because I picked TBar doesn't mean I think you suck. I love my guys but if I had to bet my house this weekend v. Springpark I would be hard pressed to lay down that wager. If we won it would be an upset if you beat TBar I don't think it would be a shocker. It truly depends on the lineups. If TBar brings their best and Lifetime does as well I like Tbar but both teams lack depth so a few missing pieces could turn this match into a blowout either way.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I hate to do this. I agree with your last point on depth. It will be a good match. Just give lifetime their due when they win.
ReplyDeleteI am a lifetime Lifetime hater. Like everyone who is not a Lifetime member, I secretly or openly root against them. Everyone is jealous of the mighty LT empire. Their long track record of league domination makes those at HP/BH/OC/Garland envious.
ReplyDeleteSee... I knew it. There are many of you out there and for good reason I guess now that you have put it out there. I knew it!!! Don't worry, this year's the 4.0 team will give you even more reason to hate Lifetime.
ReplyDeleteNice picture of us Cary. The way we played we deserve all the bashing. I need to get some self respect back. How about Steven and I play some people from your team. You choose the players since I don't know anyone from your team, or If anyone else wants to play us let me know. I just like getting to play different people from other teams.
ReplyDeleteYes I am very envious of all those Lifetime teams that have won sectionals and have played at the nationals,
ReplyDeleteOh wait,
That never happened did it?
I am trying John for the major zones.
ReplyDeleteIt's always been ridiculous that Dallas doesn't have one with all of the courts. I haven't figured out why Brookhaven doesn't go for it.
I didn't realize we don't have a major zone, sorry I am tourney stupid but it sounds like a great idea. That has always been a turnoff for a fringe tourney player like me, if I am going to write off a weekend for tennis I want a huge field of good players to compete against.
ReplyDeleteKeith,
Sounds good, maybe a a HP v. HP match up since that doesn't look like it will happen in the playoffs. We could be your No-Doz to stay awake for most of your Flight A matches. I will check the calendar and maybe Bob and I can work something out. If not I think our most consistent team is Ed/Dennis and they are always up for a good match. Kyle and I are pretty even with them as well.
Cary. Don't limit yourself? Tourney Stupid? Just take off the tourney? :-)
ReplyDeleteI too am a Lifetime hater. I post anonymous because I must hang my head in shame with never going to Nats with a LT team. The 4.0 team, the 3.5 team and any other teams they have or have had in the past that have dominated sectionals and nationals or even appeared in nationals. I am sure we need a support group to overcome our lifetime Lifetime envy.
ReplyDeleteFYI 3.5 Flight C -Oak Ridge Boys have added a new player Ryan Curren. Anybody know who this guy is????
ReplyDeleteRyan Curren is a solid player and it gives them another option. He can play singles.
ReplyDeleteRyan Curren is Oakridge's secret weapon? Do they have a ringer?
ReplyDeleteRyan Curren got to the Semis at the Houston Major Zone Tournament. That is probably one of the toughest draws in Texas.
ReplyDeleteTHERE'S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN
ReplyDeleteWhen Gene & Mitch recently crushed Brouer & Robinson it was more than just a blog butt kicking. It was a real "passing of the torch" from High Point to Spring Park.
Spring Park is the best 4.0 team in town, from top to bottom. And it is not even close. High Point, you are history!
- Death Volley
I think SP will actually have to win in the playoffs to be a "passing of the torch"
ReplyDeleteboth of you went to sectionals last year so if you both win again (unless you get flighted together at the playoffs) there will be no torch passing, but hopefully most of you will be 4.5 when ratings come out and I will gladly take that torch from you at that time.
ReplyDeleteSo does that mean that they will both pass the torch to Lifetime or since Dallas gets 2 teams that only one of them will pass the torch. Let us know how that works so we Lifetimers can be there for the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Lifetime will be able to beat out SP for 2nd place.
ReplyDeleteCollin County/Somabut won the level 4.0 Dallas City Championships in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007. That's five times in the last six years.
ReplyDeleteThat all comes to an end in 2008! This year they'll be battling for 2nd place.
Go Spring Park!
- Death Volley
I just accepted a challenge to play Eddie Hill. Yikes! Come on Oakridge guys we need you on the challenge ladder because most of the guys that signed up so far I don't think I can beat. I need some players to pad my stats with. I will do my best against Eddie. Looking forward to Monday night.
ReplyDeleteRyan has some solid tourney results including a close win over Jonathan but I am not sure he shifts the balance of power at 3.5 but I did mention this team could greatly use someone who could play singles with Bert or Molina so Prather could remain down at doubles where I think he is more valuable. curren and Molina at singles with Prather/partner at line 1 would be a great start to a good lineup for the playoffs, of course they have to get there first and looks like their path will go through the QT which will be tough.
ReplyDeleteHP/Somabut will 3-peat!
ReplyDeleteHP/Somabut = Dynasty!
did anyone notice Arnette added a player from Waco and the Lakes added yet another self rate a few matches into the season. If a team is losing Valtierra and winning easily and then adds someone I doubt he sucks in fact probably got added after McGowan and Davis showed off their bagel skills last weekend.
ReplyDeleteCary. Looking forward to Monday. Come on 4.0 and 4.5 guys join the ladder so we can get some challenging going. Eddie
ReplyDeleteTo Lucky Thunder, I guess you think you could beat all the Oak Ridge Boys. I dont see that happening since they are a 3.5 level team. Try some 4.0s
ReplyDeleteSo what happened to using Samuel Grand for tournaments, in juniors had a great time playing their, sounds like the City has screwed the facility up, much like Fretz. Way to many PUBLIC courts available to have no Major Zone Adult Tournaments
ReplyDeleteI can promise you that the DTA wants nothing to do with a Major Zone tourney. Too much work?? I would guess that has been the biggest problem. How does Waco, Tyler, and FW have Major Zones and Dallas does not. It is like the whole Cowboys stadium deal. Lazy Dallas. Let's get this going. I am in to help John. Let me know what I can do if anything. Eddie
ReplyDeleteThe Cotton Bowl isn't a major zone?
ReplyDeleteNo, it is a 200 point tourney. Major Zones are 400 points.
ReplyDeleteNo, the cotton bowl is not a MZ, at least not in adults. But some really small cities (Tyler, Abilene, Waco) have MZ's, and San Antonio has three. Surely Dallas could host one.
ReplyDeleteHP/Somabut is overated. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteIcepick/Snoop- beatable if you hit to Smith
Brouer/Robinson- just got smoked. Laughable.
The rest of their doubles can be beat if you strategerize your lineup.
No singles ringer.
HP Bazan > HP Somabut
ReplyDeletethanks for the effort Prather. i feel for you guys who travel around the state playing these tourneys it is a lot of time and effort and it would be great if there were some bigger draws here in our area.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I don't think my team is quite up to Somabut's....yet. I will say I don't think we will lose any players whereas many other teams will....I hope anyway
With that said I am rooting for Bob's group and hope to give them a good scrimmage to get them ready for Evil Springpark and the Secretive Lakes and I will send my wife's 3.0 team to get them ready for Lifetime and TBar. :)
For whoever just called me laughable, unless you're Gene or Mitch, you have no credibility to say anything. So be a man or woman and start putting your name down, otherwise noone takes what you say for anything.
ReplyDelete--Steven
So ow many courts do you need to host a major zone?
ReplyDeleteProbably be easier to circumvent the DTA and have a MZ in the burbs, Maybe UNT or Collin Community College
Whoever put those High Point Stats together, thanks! I personally am the one that beat High Point Somabut/Deviney in 2005. Yes, I too was a Highpoint / Somabut Hater - because I was on the other team. But now I'm on THE team in Dallas, and whoever said "laughable" has to go thru me. I'm w/Steven, post your name, so I will know when I am to get a serious matchup.
ReplyDeleteBTW, SP only has 3 "ringers", and last I checked that only equals 2 1/2 matches, and it takes 3 to win. I'm line 6 dubs, like I said earlier, so good luck!!!
Also, I don't remember SP ever beating us, last time it was 4 to 1 in our favour. The only torch will be in Bejing, sorry.
Kirby

HP/Somabut are not overrated. They are 3-0 without having put out a playoff lineup yet. They don't have any weak players, but some are stronger than others. Brouer/Robinson are one of the stongest 4.0 doubles teams in the state. It is no disgrace losing to Gene and Mitch. If you are up to the task issue a challenge to either team.
ReplyDeleteBrouer/Robinson won the 64 draw Houston Major Zone without dropping a set. Voss/Newman got to the semis. This past weekend Nyguen/Nyguen won the North Richland Hills tournament easily.
You might want to find another team to call overrated...
Nyguen/Nyguen HP also won a Brookhaven tournament earlier this year.
ReplyDeletehp/somabut is overated. they will go down like they did last year
ReplyDeleteCary,
ReplyDeleteYour High Point team would make the playoffs if you were in flight B or C.
The uneven distribution of talent would not be so bad if it was the result of a random draw. But apparently a DTA clerk assigns all teams to various flights. That is such crap!
One thing that would help this play off and flight issue is if they made it manditory to for a team to have at least 8 4.0 rated players on a team to play in the 4.0 league. We would have at least 3 or 4 fewer teams and only 3 flights with 9-10 teams in them so we could have a full season with 9 matches vs only 7 now. These 3.5 teams playing 4.0 are getting crushed.
ReplyDeleteI figure that you need at least 100 courts for a major zone. My boss and I are sending in a bid to try to get a major zone here at Fair Oaks and Samuell Grand (36 courts between the two). If we used LB Houston, Village, and Huffines that would be about 40 more courts. High Point would be a great site too. I still think Brookhaven would be the best candidate because they have all the capabilities and the most courts.
ReplyDeletethe year before I believe they dismantled a Arnette team that didn't have enough 4.0s but this year that rule was a little lax. I wouldn't mind it but some of these teams are just too weak and unless they are high rated 3.5 players then they need to stick to the 3.5 leagues or appeal up if that is their desire.
ReplyDeleteFort Worth has a major zone but Dallas should certainly be able to support one. There are practical considerations before it can happen. USTA will not grant a major zone that conflicts with another established Major Zone so you will need to identiify an available month. You obviously will need several facilities to make their courts available, you might be able to expect 800 to 1000 participants from the metroplex area. Finally, you should enlist help from local chambers of commerce and sell them on the economic benefits of hosting a major zone - those out of town players spend money at hotels and restaurants. They will probably jump at the opportunity to help lobby USTA for a Major Zone in Dallas. Good Luck. Mike Getz
ReplyDeleteChallenge accepted. Hit all balls to me unless you don't have any, Mr. Anonymous. Ice is on board and will stand in the alley for this match. Glad Icepick is young since he got all the shots to him over our 3 years playing together. Instead of cowboy up, name up unless you're Gene or Mitch in which case I'm not worthy!!!!
ReplyDeleteSnoop
If you truly want to have a Dallas MZ there are 83 courts between the 5 dallas run tennis centers,
ReplyDeleteEast Dallas:
Samuell-Grand, 6200 East Grand, (214) 670-1374
North Dallas:
Fretz, 14700 Hillcrest Road, (214) 670-6622
Northeast Dallas:
Fair Oaks, 7501 Merriman Pkwy., (214) 670-1495
Northwest Dallas:
L.B. Houston, 11223 Luna Road, (214) 670-6367
Oak Cliff:
Kiest, 2324 West Kiest Boulevard, (214) 670-7618
If being called overrated is getting 2nd at Sectionals, I think HP/Somabut will take that every year. To get 2nd at Sectionls is a great accomplishment, I just wish I was on that team.
ReplyDelete"If you're not 1st, your Last"
ReplyDeleteRicky Bobby
Second place at Texas sectionals means you are a very good team. With that said, being 2nd place every year is not something SOmabut would take. I would rather get eliminated earlier than always taking 2nd and being able to smell nationals but never getting to taste it. At some point, second place would get tiresome.
ReplyDeleteTBar crushes Lifetime easily 4-1.
ReplyDeleteThey miss the playoffs, and finally shut up about how good they are.
SP will beat HP Bazan 4-1, and almost fall asleep doing it.
I would take 2nd at Sectionals every year without even having to think about it. Being alive on Sunday at league sectionals is a great accomplishment for any team at any level. Plus, it is exciting and terrifying all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteLooking at Somabot's captaining record in tennislink I'm amazed....from 2002-2007 his teams made Sectionals 5 times, were Texas finalists twice, Texas Champs once and National Finalists once with an overall Sectional/National record of 23-4 (don't know what happened in 2002, it only shows Dallas goiong 2-0 and not advancing???)...IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!!!
I'm jealous! He makes it look easy.
Nothing wrong with 2nd place. Hell, I had a damn good 4.0 team in 2005 that did not even make it to the Houston City final. I thought that team was the best team in Texas that year (still do) but we never even made it to Sectionals....believe me, I would have taken 2nd place to anyone.
That is all in the past, there is new blood in big D so get out of the way.
ReplyDeleteis our one win going to be from a DQ or just a regular win. I hope the one win comes for me at line 1 singles taking out Jim Walters, captains going head to head??? Or me taking a double bagel from McGowan?
ReplyDeleteThanks anon for the thought that my team could win other flights but I am not so sure, probably 2nd in most flights other than the D flight of course. I don't feel bad for our team but out of LB Houston, BH/Pearlman and Stonebridge in our flight one of them if not two of them will not make even the QT and that is just crazy because they are very good teams and would contend in most other flights for the top spot.
ReplyDeleteI think Cary just challenged me. All right, line 1, Sunday 3 PM. Be there,
ReplyDeleteJim
Yes, that's the big problem with flights that are significantly skewed. Weaker teams make the playoffs because they are in a weak flight, while stronger teams stay home because they were placed in a very strong flight.
ReplyDeleteIt is an important issue yet the DTA remains silent and their process remains a secret. But "the word" is that a clerk places all teams in flights _ and major screw-ups occur every year.
Cary, you crack me up.
ReplyDeleteJim told me that I'm doing the team's laundry this Sunday, so I'm not sure where he has me at 3pm.

BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CHALLENGE LADDER!!!!

Curtis Hayes was looking on the internet for some people to play
ReplyDeleteand found The Blog Ladder. He is
a good guy and just wanted to play tennis. He has not played in a while.
Zach
Leave it to Klamecki to warmly welcome a new guy.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to having a major zone USTA tournament in Dallas –
ReplyDeleteI have talked with the Brookhaven Tennis Management about the idea of being the focal point for the tournament. Brookhaven said they received a letter & bid package from the USTA Texas Section and have had many internal discussions about it. At the end of the day, the USTA wants a large cut of pie and from the club’s point of view it doesn’t make much sense (financial, time, taking courts away from member, etc). If an organization (another club, individual, etc) took on the task of organizing the tournament, Brookhaven would allocate (sell) courts for the event.
I believe there’s a huge opportunity for a creative individual with some sales & marketing experience to start a company, organize and sponsor the event. The demographics in the north Texas area are huge. The event could be the largest amateur tennis event in the nation within five years. The event would draw folks from all over the state, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
A few things that the organizer would have to do is: 1) Receive the support from the city of Dallas and surrounding cities (Richardson, Addison, Plano, Framers Branch, etc), 2) Receive the support from the large private clubs (Brookhaven, T-Bar M, etc), 3) Receive a great date from the USTA for the tournament, 4) Recruit / sign on some corporate sponsors (The Dallas area has some wonderful companies that would make great sponsors), 5) Get local hotels, restaurants, etc located by the different playing locations to offer special deals for the players and visitors, 6) Get the Dallas Morning News to publish an article or two with pics each day while the tournament is being played. 7) Give away a great goodie bag to all players, 8) Always have a back up plan for everything (for example: if it rains, have access to indoor / covered courts to play matches after prime time), 9) Promote the hell out of the tournament sponsors so they want to be part of the tournament year after year, thus attracting additional sponsors year after year, 10) Always take care of the players, 11) Make the event something special & fun that players will remember and talk about in the future
The real success of the tournament and real money would made by recruiting some great sponsors.
Marc Klamecki how do you sign up for the ladder?
ReplyDeleteEnrique Molina
Yeah I challenge Jim and Mitch!!!
ReplyDeleteWait a minute do I have to play tennis against them? I was talking about drinking and eating after the game. I can put away a 20 pc pretty fast, not sure I can out drink Mitch but Walters isn't much bigger than me. I would love to play some singles but I got to rest up for my big challenge match with Eddie Hill on Monday night.
I will be on the court this weekend for sure...:) somewhere....
Hey Mitch,
ReplyDeleteI changed my mind. Since Cary backed down on playing singles, you can play for me. I'll put you in .. somewhere. Jim
Enrique,
ReplyDeleteSend me your email address, I'll sign you up amd email you an invite,
Marc@courtcheck.com
Zach,
I guess Curtis picked the wrong guy off the ladder cuz you did not even through in a courtesy game.
I would take a bagel over a courtesy game everytime. I think he would too.
ReplyDeleteZach
you guys would be surprised how many non Dallas league players hover on this site. I got an email from New Zealand the other day and it wasn't a lottery or give me your bank acct email. Look forward to meeting curtis sometime, can you see 2.5 ringer.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteclick click clack click thack... How aboot anudder shrimp on tha bawbie?
ReplyDeleteI love the Lifetime haters. When Lifetime beats T Bar on Sunday. We want a formal apology and admission that Lifetime is one of the top 3 teams in Dallas 4.0.
ReplyDeleteConsidering I don't think TBar is 1 of the top 3 teams, why does beating them earn you this title?
ReplyDeleteLakes is 3rd best team in Dallas and come playoffs they may prove to be #2.
I will grant you this - if LT wins this coming Sunday I will announce to the world that LT is apparently one of the top 3 teams in the A flight. Good luck this weekend.
A 3-2 loss without full roster against HP and a win over Top 5 T Bar team warrants top 3 team in Dallas for Lifetime.
ReplyDeleteNot sure Lifetime would be higher than 4 or 5 in Group D.
ReplyDeleteHow is T Bar a top 5 team? There's 3 teams alone better than T Bar in Flight D.
ReplyDeleteLifetime will only get their "respect" as a top 5 team if they get out of the wildcard playoffs and into the main rounds. Otherwise, you can't call yourself a top 5 team. Luckily for Lifetime, they are in the weakest flight so that should put them in the wildcard playoff to basically put up or shut up.
How is flight A so weak? It is very strong at the top. Lifetime, HP and TBar. The top 3 teams in Flight A are better than the top 3 in any other flight. This will show itself in the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteMarc Klamecki!
ReplyDeleteCan you get me on the ladder?
cbert@tx.rr.com is my e-mail address
Samuel Bert
Marc,
ReplyDeleteNevermind!!
I got in and should be ready to go.
Thanks
Samuel Bert
TBar and Lifetime didn't go to the post season recently so how is this "strong at the top" Sombaut's team is the only true contender in this flight and they don't even have to win their matches.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you anon how TBar & Lifetime have been missing in action at the playoff recently; not sure Lifetime ever made it to the playoffs in its life.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it is interesting to note that it is the mediocre teams who are banging hard on the desks and trying to make some noise, while the top teams (HP, SP, Lakes) are going about their business in a Federer-like manner!
I've never seen lifetime captain make a fool of himself. Lifetime didn't have full roster against HP...please, we had the worse doubles team of snoop and icepick in. HP didn't have their top 3 doubles teams playing.
ReplyDeletedidn't have any of their top three doubles lines?? so Hai and Jean aren't a top doubles line?? wow!!
ReplyDeleteJean and Hai will probably be one of HP's top three teams in the playoffs. I don't think the other two will be. LT won two third set tiebreakers to keep from getting blanked in a match that HP didn't need to win. HP's three wins were three fairly easy wins. In a playoff match HP beats Lifetime 5-0.
ReplyDeleteHP is experienced enough to just keep methodically making there way to the playoffs. They know as well as the rest of us that they will still be playing in August. Lifetime's season will end in mid-July "if" they are lucky.
ReplyDeleteWhoever is writing for HP is an Idiot and I am sure are not even affiliated with the team. Ice Pic and Snoop are in there top 2 for sure. All you have to do is look at the line up for Lifetime's match vs T Bar this week and compare it to who played in the HP match. It is not an excuse just fact. Lifetime does not have the depth of some other top teams, but their best line-up can and will beat anyone.
ReplyDeleteNo way that Icepic and Snoop would be ranked ahead of:
ReplyDeleteBrouer/Robinson
Nyguen/Nyguen
Newman/Voss
Martin/TBD
They are a very good team, but not top three. Wait and see what HP's lineup looks like in the City Playoffs. It will not be the lineup they used against LT.
Hey Cary, could you in the future separate each level, like you have before, so we don't have to wade all through the comments from the other levels? Thank you, DP
ReplyDeleteLifetime's "best line-up can and will beat anyone."
ReplyDeleteWhoever is writing this non-sense has obviously never played in the playoffs themselves. HP and Springpark will finish 1 and 2, the end Lifetime is not on either captain's radar, that is why HP put out an easy line-up against them and that is the only reason Lifetime gets this dilusion of being close to beating them.
Just for fun, what possible match-ups could Lifetime get against either HP or SP that would give them a realistic chance of winning 3 lines?
If Lifetime has better lines, why weren't they used against HP? I would think most teams would be trying to go after HP and try to beat them, not actually wanting them to win.
ReplyDelete3 guys out of town that weekend. 1 injured DNP.
ReplyDeleteLifetime beat Tbar M 3-2. See you in the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteLT, are you talking about the City Qualifying Tournament to get into the City Tournament? Some of the teams you are wanting to play probably won't be in that tournament...
ReplyDeletejust talking about the post season. With some help along the way Lifetime can still win this flight. See ya in the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a plan. Congratulations on your win today.
ReplyDelete
