A Day In The Life

a day in the life beatles

For those of you who haven't been following Dallas tennis as long as some of us, I dug this up out of the archives.  That's Reiman, Rossouw, Harllee and Way back when they first joined the league.

Ok, let’s try this again, but by popular demand we have added 5.0.  Come on Corey, we’re all rooting for you.  Well, some of us are.  Short post but I’m doing some tri-level research and will have a preview up as soon as player registration closes.  From the looks of it, tri-level commentary has already started without me.

5.0 Playoffs: Village – according to our expert guest analysis we don’t need to go any further.

4.5 Playoffs – It looks like the key for these teams will be keeping their focus until they get to the big matches at the end.  JCC found that out this weekend, although Village is much better than 1-2.

Flight A – Greenhill/Rossouw and Lakes/Way square off the last match of the season.
Flight B – Greenhill/Rossouw and Brookhaven/Harllee do the same in flight B.
Flight C – JCC/Reiman lost to a 1-2 Village team.  Still JCC’s flight to lose.

4.0 Playoffs – Key contenders and upcoming match-ups

Flight A - Canyon Creek/McHugh – cream of the crop.  No issues until playoffs.
Flight B - Garland/Sisk versus Fretz/Noel on Oct 12 for the flight.
Flight C – Huffines/Ratcliffe’s flight to lose.
Flight D – Fretz/Jayaram and Huffines/McIntosh in a November showdown.

Stay tuned for a tri-level primer that has a little more effort put into it.  I'm going outside my normal circle (small circle) for some expert insights and predictions.

  1. That's Harllee in the shades. He was one cool cat in the day. Some would say he still is.

  2. Will Kelly be back into shape in only one week?

  3. Well he sucked this weekend. I'll laugh when he doesn't try to protect his rating and Sisk gets beat.

  4. He has never lost a trilevel match and when the whole world is pulling against you lets hope he loses this weekend. Don't see him keeping the winning streak alive. Will have to carry the workload and that will be tough to mentally regroup after last weekend.

    1. He could beat any 4.5 in tri-level this weekend playing left handed. The real issue is does he think it's worth giving up that all important 4.5 rating. Sisk can't get to Indian Wells without him.

  5. Actually the real question is are the 3.5's and 4.0's good enough for Sisk? Kelley will give them a 1-0 lead playing by himself but what happens after that? I see huge upset brewing somewhere.

    1. I would agree. But in Kingwood.

    2. You think Sisk can upset someone in Kingwood. Chavez and Kingsley will be unstoppable?

    3. They will need to be

    4. Chavez and anybody are unbeatable. Just a couple of years ago he and Perez could not be beaten in Tri-Level. We all remember that.

  6. until they got to Kingwood. Lost to Kelly and Moore and after the match Kelly told them they were good 4.0 bump ups.

  7. They were undefeated and unbeatable. The one time Kelley treed out of his mind was the match to go to Indian Wells. He got lucky and has never played that well since. Chavez and Perez let him off the hook.

    1. Not sure what the big deal is. I've beaten them both in the fall and I've never been bumped up to 4.5 so they can't be that good.

  8. OK so TBar 5.0 added a lot of players who just went to Nationals on Oscar's team so looks like they are trying to make another run this season. Village vs. TBar will decide who wins fall.
