You're proven wrong and still want to dispute it. Jeremy Stone will be DQ'd if he plays against us. I don't doubt that you will get through your little City Playoff but I hope I see him in the lineup against us. What a dumb comment to say that it doesn't matter if you lied last year. The captain is also in jeopardy if a player on their team lied in the self-rate process. Stone's history is pretty clear so I hope the self-rate agrees with his actual history or Branch could be out too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372029287243637381.post-43143684466501607562008-07-18T11:11:00.000-05:002008-07-18T11:11:00.000-05:00You can ramble all you want. It does not matter if you lied last year or 10 years ago when you first started.

If you could have every person DQ'd for initially lying on thier self-rating about 30-40% of everyone playing right now would be subject to DQ.

It does not happen that way. This is why the slimy, shady captains play their future ringers on some meaningless mixed doubles team or they sign up for a late year tournament at the incorrect level so that they can generate a valid computer rating.

The ONLY way a computer rated person can be DQ'd is through red flags. That's it, nothing more.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372029287243637381.post-27750073160077271472008-07-17T09:14:00.000-05:002008-07-17T09:14:00.000-05:00Check out the last line below directly from the NT...Check out the last line below directly from the NTRP section on the usta.com site or you can simply click on the 'About NTRP Ratings' link on the right side of the tennislink page. Players must rate themselves in accordance with the NTRP.

Players who are good athletes and intend to spend a great deal of time taking lessons and practicing should be aware that their improvement may be significant enough to surpass their original self-rate level. We will all learn the rule soon enough. There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to the DQ. I've seen a computer rated player get DQ'd before. Common sense would tell you that just because a player doesn't get caught by the system as a self-rate and receives a computer rating they can still be DQ'd if they are playing below level according to the Guidelines. Stone is a 5.5 according to the Guidelines and will be DQ'd in 4.5 playoffs. If he were marginal he would probably slide by but a full level will get you bumped to at least 5.0. We'll all find out soon enough. No need to dispute on a blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372029287243637381.post-51304511288650732082008-07-17T08:01:00.000-05:002008-07-17T08:01:00.000-05:00The only way a computer rated player can be DQ'd i...The only way a computer rated player can be DQ'd is by red flags. Computer rating means nothing and his record means nothing. I am on an opposing team and will be reporting Stone if he plays against our team. I urge any other team to do the same if you play against Stone at Dallas City Playoffs and/or Sectionals. Based on his previous college experience for a top ranked college which can be viewed very easily at collegetennisonline.com he will most likely be DQ'd as soon as he plays. He could very well end up costing Branch and your team when he plays. He played #6 singles and won in the fifth place match. Trinity was seeded #4. He is computer rated, so I doubt he can have a successful grievence filed against him unless he originally self-rated and lied about his previous college experience. Plus the matches were close, if he was tanking it would have been 2,2 or so sorts.

As for Stone I did not realize he played at Trinity, obviously the captains are not going to file a grievance, somewhat sad in my opinion.
The self-rate questionaire is a joke and allows way to many players to flat out lie without consequences and the local, state, and sectional officials are doing very little to combat it.AR Hacked Offhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17970705260019921739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372029287243637381.post-49591692418571934272008-07-14T18:55:00.000-05:002008-07-14T18:55:00.000-05:00J. Royal Oaks has been a mystery all season with their inconsistent lineup. Did anybody see Joey's loss on Sunday? Seems questionable since he won 6-0, 6-0 on Saturday. He did the same thing in his final match of last season. I could be wrong but I would like to know if anybody was watching.
